You woke up to the sound of kai downstairs talking to your appa

“this boy needs to learn how to sleep in….so early arghh” you say and roll out of bed

“chanyeol…you about?” you ask looking towards the chair he had now claimed as his chair , you walk over and slowly move your hand over the chair..

“why am I even doing this…..i cant feel him anyway” you laugh at your silliness and head to the bathroom..

Once you showered you got dressed and headed downstairs

“ bit early aint it kai?” you ask with a smile

“its never to early……you ready for school?” he asks

“I need food first” you tell him , he just rolls his eyes at you

“we can get breakfast on the way”

“what’s the rush?”

“no rush I just want to get going so hurry up slow coach” kai teases

You playfully hit him on the arm

“Jessie be nice” your appa says in a joking way

“nah it’s ok she will pay for it “ kai says with a cheeky grin, you raise an eyebrow at him

“that’s a cookie point for me” he laughs

“no way”

“ yes way slooooow coach……where’s chan—cha cha cha” kai starts dancing to cover up his mistake , your eyes open wide at what kai was about to say

“lets go” you say grabbing his arm and pulling him out the door

“that was a complete slip of the tongue sorry jess” kai says putting his head down

“its ok , just be more careful….anyway I don’t think chanyeol was about this morning I called him but got no answer”

“maybe he’s out …..haunting people” kai jokes

“he don’t haunt people ….i think he’s lonely”

“he aint that lonely he hangs around you all day…..dont it freak you out? Knowing he’s there and you cant see him?” kai asks

“it did at first but im used to it now so I don’t mind “

 

Three days had passed and you still didn’t see chanyeol , you were starting to wonder where he was and if he was ok..

*did I do something wrong? Maybe I said something he didn’t like….where are you chanyeol?* you thought to yourself

While you were worrying about where chanyeol was and worrying if you had done something wrong…chanyeol was in hiding , he was human and he had to stay out of sight he couldn’t risk you seeing him while he was in his human form because then he would have to tell you the truth…and he couldn’t do that..not yet anyway , he trusted you but not enough to know if you would keep his secret a secret.

A week had gone by and still no sign of chanyeol , you were worrying more then ever now as it was not normal for chanyeol to be gone this long, kai had called you and asked you to meet him at the café you two always go to so you were making your way there with your headphones in and enjoying the walk as it was past the park and a little river..

“oooff” you say as you bump into someone , pulling out your headphones “im sor---sorry” you say confused as the person you had bumped into was chanyeol , he panicked and quickly acted like he didn’t know you

“ it’s ok I wasn’t looking where I was going , I was admiring the beautiful view” he tells you but you didn’t hear him as you were to busy staring at him..

“ im also sorry for bumping into you..are you ok?” he asks , he getting worried now as you just keep staring at him

“o…k im just going to walk around you and be on my way” he says stepping to the side

“ aniya wait, im sorry ummm I feel like I know you..i mean you look so much like someone I know” you say coming out of your stare

“ I hope im more handsome” he laughs

“omo you have the same laugh as him…this is so weird” you say and chanyeol stops laughing he was to close to giving himself away

“ummm im really sorry but I have to go” he says and heads off

“chanyeol” you call out just to be sure

Chanyeol bites his lip and fights the urge to turn around at the sound of you calling his name , he hates having to ignore you but for now he has to..

You walk to the café and quickly walk over to kai

“you look like you’ve seen a ghost ….did you see chanyeol” he jokes

“im not sure” you reply cutting kai off from laughing

“wae do you look so shocked?” he asks

“I just see a guy who looks the double of chanyeol like identical twin , like..like---I get it he looked just like chanyeol” kai says cutting you off

“kai you don’t get it not only did he look like him he even laughed like him but he was human”

“ok you spend way to much time with chanyeol..wait how do you know he was human?…please don’t tell me you poked him to see if he was real”

“I didn’t poke him”

“but you thought about it…didn’t you?”

“ok so I was thinking about it” you say hating the fact that kai knows you to well

“jess you cant just go around poking people..you know who does that..crazy people…..im starting to think you belong with the crazy crowd”

“Im in the crazy crowd already…I hang around with you don’t I”

“ok I have to admit that was a good one” kai smiles

“kai im telling you it was weird it was li---omo its him kai its him look look” you say and point at the chanyeol look a like who had just walked into the café

“stop pointing…keep your voice down” kai says pushing your hand down

“look at him..just look at him---im looking im looking” kai cuts in , even kai had to admit this guy looked just like chanyeol

“see he’s the same height , same laugh, same hair style, same dress sense, even his eyes are the same and he even scrunches his nose when he laughs…everything about him is chanyeol”

“ok do you wanna keep your voice down before he thinks your stalking him”

“he cant hear me”

“stop staring…jess cut it out”

“im not staring”

“you are …oh great now im staring, if he looks over here and sees us both staring at him hes gonna think were crazy”

“we already worked out were crazy ”

“ jess I will drag you out of here if you don’t stop” kai warns

You stop staring and drink some of your drink but keep peeking up at him “we should go” you announce

“oh now you wanna go”

“I cant stop staring and im freaking myself out”

Kai stood up and you followed stealing one more look at the boy..

Chanyeol could hear everything you and kai were saying and found it hard not to laugh at the pair of you but the one thing that got him was how you noticed everything about him,his eyes,smile,laugh,hair,height,the way he dressed and even the little nose scrunch he does , he would give anything to tell you the truth and to be able to hang out with you while he was human but he knew there was a risk if he told you the truth…

Chanyeol knew his time as a human was coming to an end and soon he will be able to be with you again in his ‘ghost’ form .
