Comfortable

Split In Half

Jimin reached his arm up as high as he could, trying to get a book off the very top shelf. He bit his lower lip and went on his tippy toes, trying his best even with his short height and broken arm.

An arm reached out over his shoulder and got the book he was trying to get. Jimin blinked in confusion and looked to his right, coming face-to-face with Jinyoung.

Jimin's breath stopped as Jinyoung held the book out towards him, a warm smile on his face. "Here you go."

Jimin hesitantly took the book and managed to let out a quiet "thank you" while trying to hide the obvious blush that he knew was showing on his cheeks. He fixed his gaze towards the cover of the book, feeling Jinyoung's eyes still on him. He began to feel his heart beat faster. *Why is he still here?*

As if Jinyoung read his mind, the older boy had a playful smile on his face. "I think it's best I stay with you for awhile just in case you need more books later."

Jimin pursed his lips together, holding in the urge to smile widely when the all too familiar giddy feeling ran through him like it always did whenever Jinyoung is around him.

"Besides, I wanted to ask you out for lunch anyway. I don't really feel like eating alone today." Jinyoung stated, his smile becoming wider.

Jimin looked up and met eyes with Jinyoung, feeling his breath stop at the kind and mischievous gaze they gave off. He suddenly felt lost and blank as he continued to stare into Jinyoung's eyes, his insides going weak when the older boy took a step closer to him, the space between them would fully disappear if either of them were to make even just a little move.

"Are you okay Jimin?" Jinyoung whispered, a hint of concern could be heard in his voice.

Jimin liked the way Jinyoung said his name. His voice was so soft and Jimin couldn't help but feel that if he listened to that voice for hours in one day, he would be enchanted and chained to the other boy forever.

He quickly snapped out of his thoughts and forced a smile out, taking a step away from Jinyoung. "I'm fine! I just remembered that I have to go somewhere right now though." He lied and tapped on his wrist watch to look more believable. "I'm going to be late if I don't go now." He lightly patted Jinyoung on the arm before turning around and beginning to walk away from him.

Jimin placed the book on a random table he walked by and quickened his pace when he got closer to the door, ignoring the weird stares the students gave him. He practically ran out of the library and down the hall, trying to get as far away as possible from Jinyoung. It's not that he didn't like the older boy or didn't want to go out to eat lunch with him -which he would love to do-, but the weird feelings that go off inside of him when he's around Jinyoung bothered him so much.

It has been exactly one week since the day he was stuck in that room with Jungkook and V, and their words always followed him. He still felt giddy and lovey dovey around Jinyoung, but he always wondered what if he really did only admire the older boy? So he decided that it was best to avoid Jinyoung as much as possible so that he could concentrate on other things rather than his love life. But for some reason, he would always end up bumping into Jinyoung throughout the day in some way and because of that, the giddy feeling rises inside of him again.

But that wasn't the only feeling he had noticed in him whenever Jinyoung was around.

Jimin doesn't know why but whenever he met eyes with Jinyoung, he would feel weak and guilty. Whenever Jinyoung got close to him, his heart would beat fast but it felt like someone was stabbing it as well. When Jinyoung smiled sweetly at him, he felt overjoyed and empty.

How come there was always a bad feeling that tagged along with the happy ones? Jimin has been in love before and not once did he feel those things when he was in love. Love was always happy and exciting for him, but when it came to Jinyoung, there was always something bad as well. That was another reason why he didn't want to be around Jinyoung. He hated feeling those things and whenever he was with the senior, he felt all those things at once with the splash of happiness that came in between.

*I'm so ing messed up inside.* Jimin thought, running a hand through his hair in frustration. He had slowed down a bit but he continued to walk towards the dorm building with fast steps. *I'll just lock myself in my room for the day. It's Saturday anyways and I'm no longer in that study mood.*

Once he reached the dorm building, he took a step inside when a voice called him from behind; a very familiar voice. He turned around and came face-to-face with V, a smile instantly forming on his face.

"What's up with you and why are you walking like someone is coming after you?" V asked, looking at Jimin weirdly.

Jimin raised an eyebrow at him, trying to look innocent and confused. "What do you mean? I was walking like how I always walk."

"So you walk like this everyday?" V took his hands out of his pockets and imitated Jimin, walking towards him with fast steps as if he were walking on thin ice.

Jimin laughed when V stopped in front of him. V felt his heart leap from joy at the sight of Jimin laughing happily, but he made sure to not show any love on his face in case his oblivious lover sees it and begins to think of him differently. He and Jungkook were already on Jimin's friend list and they didn't want to change that.

V glared at Jimin, an angry pout on his face. "Yah! Stop laughing at me!"

Jimin lifted his hand over his mouth and bit his bottom lip, stopping himself from laughing even more. "You just look really stupid." He managed to say even through all the laughter that was threatening to come out again.

V sneered at him. "You little . I was copying you which meant you looked dumb too."

"I probably looked way better than you did just now." Jimin brought his hand down and gave V a clear view of the smirk on his lips.

"You're lucky I'm in a good mood right now or else I would break your other arm." V warned with narrowed eyes.

"Like you could." Jimin teased playfully and dodged a slap that V aimed at his arm.

"You really want me to hurt you!" V exclaimed, wrapping his arms tightly around Jimin's waist and pulling him closer into a tight hug, their bodies pressed against each other.

V looked down at the somewhat shocked expression on Jimin's face, causing for a smirk to form on his own. He could feel the other boy's body tense when he pulled him in even closer. Jimin had a frozen look on his face and he stayed unmoving, his breath slow and shaky. V could feel a sense of relief wash over him at the way Jimin was reacting from his actions right now. He didn't know if what Jimin was thinking at this moment was good or bad, but he knew that he was affecting the boy in some way; and that was good enough for him.

"What are you two doing?"

Jimin's eyes widened and he quickly pushed V away with one arm, not putting that much space in between them. Jungkook was walking towards them and looking at them with one raised eyebrow, his hands slipped into his pockets coolly.

V nervously chuckled and smiled widely at Jungkok. "We were just playing around."

Jimin nodded in agreement, a nervous feeling entering his stomach at the way Jungkook was looking at him.

Slowly, a pout formed on Jungkook's face. "I can't believe you two were playing without me."

V rolled his eyes while Jimin giggled, walking towards him and wrapping his strong arm around his shoulder.

"Why don't we go out together and have some fun then?" Jimin suggested, seeing the growing smiles on the others faces.

"Okay then!" Jungkook said excitedly, wrapping his arm around Jimin's waist and beginning to drag him away from the dorm building. "But you have to go wherever we bring you and we will pay for everything!"

Jimin looked at Jungkook in protest. "But---"

V cut him off by pinching his cheeks. "Just go with it."

Jimin sulked and gave up, letting the boys lead him to wherever they were taking him. He had went out with Jungkook and V a few days ago and they had paid for him that time as well. He felt guilty that they always paid for him, but he also learned that arguing with Jungkook and V -or going against what they wanted- was not a very good idea.

After almost an hour of riding the bus through Seoul, they finally reached their destination.

"This is where you guys decided to take me?"

Jimin looked at Jungkook and V weirdly, the three of them standing in front of a busy arcade. Even from outside Jimin can clearly hear the sound of video games and the excited cheers of people inside.

Jungkook nodded and smiled at him excitedly. "Yeah. Why?"

Jimin glanced down at his broken arm before looking back up at Jungkook. "It's kind of hard to play games with one arm." He stated in a matter-of-fact tone.

Jungkook smirked at him. "Who said you were going to play?"

"Yeah." V spoke up while looking at Jimin with a teasing smile. "We brought you here to watch us play."

Jimin gawked at them. "I cant believe---"

Before he could finish his sentence, V and Jungkook had already ran into the arcade together. Jimin frowned and let out a deep breath, puffing his cheeks out and following the child-like boys into the arcade.

Jimin walked into the arcade and his eyes scanned the room, the different sounds echoing in his ears and the bright lights shining into his eyes. He walked around and found himself watching a few teenagers that were probably his age playing happily with their friends. He continued to walk around until he found Jungkook and V playing a racing game, the two of them sitting in different machines and playing their own match.

He moved towards them, standing in the middle and watching both them play intently. Jungkook and V were so focused on their game that they hadn't even noticed that Jimin was standing behind them with an envious look on his face.

"Yes!" V threw his arm up in the air and cheered loudly. "First place!"

Jungkook cursed and slammed his palm into the steering wheel. "Second place." He muttered, the disappointment and anger clear in his voice.

V smirked playfully at Jungkook. "You really live up to your name don't you second best?"

Jungkook growled and glared at him fiercely. "Shut up Kim Taehyung."

"Don't get mad at me." V stated with an innocent look on his face. "It's not my fault you at everything you do."

"You !" Jungkook grabbed V by the front of his shirt forcefully.

Jimin quickly held an arm out in between the two boys, trying to push Jungkook away from V as best as he could. "Stop fighting!"

Jungkook roughly pushed V away from him, turning to glare at the machine angrily. V frowned and straightened his clothes, looking backwards to see the concerned eyes of Jimin.

"How about we just go eat?" Jimin suggested, looking at both V and Jungkook for approval. "I'm kind of hungry anyway." He added, looking down at his stomach which was actually growling from hungry.

V looked at Jungkook. "Do you want to eat Jungkookie?" He asked cutely in hopes that the other boy would cheer up and forgive him from his joke earlier.

Jungkook sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Fine. But you're paying."

V smiled widely and reached over to pull Jungkook into a tight hug. Jungkook's face softened and he lightly patted V on the back in a way of saying that he was forgiven. He always hated it whenever V called him second best and he wanted to strangle the other boy for calling him that, but he can't deny that he now has a soft spot for V.

Jimin looked at the sight, his heart leaping from joy. He always felt happy whenever the two boys would show care or love towards each other.

"Let's go eat then." Jungkook said after pulling away from V.

With that, the three boys left the arcade after one game and went to eat at a nearby fast food restaurant. They walked into the burger shop excitedly, the smell of french fries filling the air as they moved to sit at an empty table on the other side of the room. Jungkook and V sat side by side while Jimin sat in front of Jungkook.

"Just order whatever you guys want." V stated, a small smile on his lips. "My treat."

Jimin nodded thankfully and began to scan the menu, reading each meal until he found one that he thought sounded delicious and would satisfy his hunger.

"What are you getting Jungkook?" V asked, his eyes still scanning the menu in front of him.

"The same thing I got last time." Jungkook answered with a smile.

Jimin blinked at him. "You've been here before?"

Jungkook nodded and glanced at V. "Just once."

Jimin wanted to ask more about Jungkook's first experience at this burger shop but he decided that he could save it for another day.

The three boys chatted with each other while waiting for a server, fooling around and telling each other different stories and jokes. Jimin learned that Jungkook and V weren't really the greatest of friends in the beginning but they slowly warmed up to each other after a few years. It was confusing at first because it seemed so impossible for enemies to suddenly turn into friends, but V explained that something had helped their hidden friendship come out. Jimin had a smile on his face the entire time Jungkook and V talked about their arguments and fights. He would always find himself laughing at their stupidity and scolding them for being so low.

Jimin stared at Jungkook and V, the two boys smiling at each other while reminiscing a fight they had a year ago regarding a homework assignment that they both had to work on together. Jimin couldn't help but feel his heart beat faster at the sight of their smiles, happiness and joy running through his body. He was always in a happy mood whenever he was with Jungkook and V despite them only being friends for only a week. When he's with Jungkook and V, smiling and playing around together like this, Jimin always felt so... comfortable. Nothing more, nothing less. Whenever Jungkook and V would smile at him, he felt like he belonged. That he was already where he needed to be.

A waitress came by after awhile and looked at them with a welcoming smile. "What can I get for you boys today?" The girl asked, holding onto a small notepad and a pen.

V, Jungkook, and Jimin told her their orders one at a time, the waitress repeating it afterwards just to make sure she had gotten the right orders down on the notepad. She also asked them what drinks they'd like and the three boys agreed on coke. She took the menu's from them and stated that she would be back with their orders before walking off and disappearing into the back room.

Jimin let his eyes scan around the room, letting his eyes watch a few other customers that were already eating at their table. There was a loving couple sharing one meal, a small family with a little daughter who was dipping her french fries into ketchup happily, and then there were group of friends laughing with one another. Jimin smiled when he watched a little boy offer a bite of his burger to a little girl. Jimin let his eyes move away and down to the table, noticing that they were sitting at table number 23. Jimin stared at the table number card, his mind going elsewhere as a scene played in his head.

A waitress came towards the table and smiled at Jimin happily, a heavy tray of food balancing on her hand. "This is the order for table number 23." She said before placing their respected orders in front of them.

Jimin smiled and thanked her as she walked away. He looked up at his company, the image becoming even more hazy and blurry, but he was still able to see the loving smiles on their faces.

"Eat lots Jimin! Our treat!"

Jimin snapped out of his thoughts after someone called his name, looking up to meet the worried eyes of Jungkook.

"Are you okay?" Jungkook asked him.

Jimin smiled and nodded. He looked down and noticed the plate of food in front of him. His eyes slightly widened in surprise. He didn't even notice the food had arrived because of how deep in thoughts he was. He tried to think of the scene that had played in his mind again but just like last time, he couldn't remember it anymore. Jimin let out a quiet sigh and stared down at his food, feeling more confused than ever.

Jungkook looked at Jimin a little while longer, watching the latter stare down at his food without moving. He sighed and shook his thoughts away, letting himself dig into his own food.

"Hey Jungkook!" V looked up from his burger to smirk at Jungkook. "I bet you 5 bucks I can finish my burger faster than you."

Jungkook rolled his eyes in annoyance. "No thank you. I'm not in the mood to compete with you right now."

V raised an eyebrow at Jungkook and his smirk deepened. "You're just scared to lose again."

"The first time was a cheat." Jungkook stated with a bored expression on his face. "Your burger was smaller than mine."

V scoffed and waved a dismissive hand at Jungkook before looking towards Jimin. A wide smile grew on his face.

"Eat lots Jimin! Our treat!" V happily exclaimed to which Jungkook quickly protested to. "V's treat!" He corrected.

The way Jungkook and V were smiling at him right now made a spark go out inside of him. It felt like something deep down inside of him was going off like a police siren, but he doesn't know why. He forced a smile on his face and nodded at Jungkook and V, the two boys giving him one last smile before turning their attention back to their food. A weird and familiar feeling lingered inside of Jimin as he watched the two boys eat. He tried to go through his mind in hopes of figuring out why he was feeling that way, but nothing came.

*This is all new to me but why does it seem so familiar?* Jimin thought before shoving another piece of french fry in his mouth. *And what does V and Jungkook have to do with it?*
