Blurry

Split In Half

Jimin looked forward to the front of the classroom and let out a quiet sigh, watching his new homeroom teacher -Mr. Jung- pace back and forth while reading from an english textbook. He would occasionally point at a student to read the next sentence and from what Jimin sees, none of the students were thrilled about it.

"T-t-tomourro weel b-be aye be-ttur d-d-day." A student read out loud with difficulty, silently cursing to himself once he was done.

Jimin moved his eyes to the textbook on his desk and tried to read a few of the sentences in his head. He wasn't exactly the best when it came to english, but he wasn't bad at it either. He would read the simple sentences and understand what it means but his pronunciation needed a little more work.

After a few minutes of reading and feeling bored, he let his eyes scan the room. He noticed a few students sleeping, secretly texting under their desks, or simply drifting off into space. Jimin held in a laugh when his eyes landed on a boy who was practically leaning off his desk from being deeply asleep. He moved his eyes to look at the two empty seats on either side of him. He stared at the seats in interest, wondering who the owners could be.

When he was asked to choose his seat earlier, his eyes had instantly landed on the three empty seat in the back. He actually asked to sit in the seat beside the window, but it was already taken by a student who was missing. The same thing goes to the other empty seat.

He narrowed his eyes at the seat on his right, feeling the curiosity run through him.

Ever since he had stepped into the school yesterday, an odd feeling has been running through him. He didn't know why but everything seemed so familiar in a weird type of way. Not only that, but everyone and everything around him just seemed so... off. For example, his room was already ready and his things were unpacked neatly in his dorm. Kikwang told him that he had come by earlier to clean up his things, but Jimin wasn't even close to believing that. Kikwang and organizing was never in the same picture. Also, students around the school acted strange around him when Kikwang was giving him a tour of the school. Some of them would smile widely and wave, while a few students would run away from him. Jimin guessed it was a normal thing since he was a new student, but high school boys are usually not as friendly and people don't run away without a reason. Lastly, the teacher kept glancing his way throughout the class. How was that strange exactly? He was glancing at Jimin with nervous and sad eyes.

There could only be one reason why Jimin felt so strange about everything; there was something that he didn't know. Whenever that uneasy feeling ran through him constantly, it was a sign that something was seriously wrong with everything around him, and he needs to find out what it is.

The bell rang loudly as it echoed through the classroom, signaling that it was the end of the first half of the school day. All the students slammed their textbooks shut while Mr. Jung gave final instructions about homework that needed to be done, but the students were already too busy in their own little worlds and didn't pay attention to him at all.

Mr. Jung sighed and ruffled his hair in frustration. "I won't even try anymore." He mumbled before walking out of the classroom, making sure to take his binder and textbook with him.

A few students began walking out of the classroom while a few stayed and fooled around with their friends.

Suddenly, something hit Jimin on the side of his head, causing for him to wince in pain as he held up a hand where the object had hit him. He looked at the ground beside him and saw a box of chocolates lying there. He stared down at it with blank eyes, a scene suddenly playing in his mind as he began to space out.

'Park Jimin. I have something to tell you.'

'Why are you shaking up my heart?'

'I love you Park Jimin.'

The scene cut off with a blurry image of a boy smiling. Jimin blinked at the box of chocolates as his heart skipped a beat.

"I'm so sorry!" A student yelled out, running towards Jimin and picking up the box. "I'm so sorry!" He repeated, bowing exactly five times before turning around and moving like a bullet away from Jimin.

Jimin continued to stare down at the spot where the box was, dropping his hand and beginning to feel confused at the blurry scene that had played in his mind.

*What was that? And who was that?* He thought, trying to think of the scene again but for some reason, he has already forgotten it right away. He narrowed his eyes in confusion. *What is happening to me?*

"Jimin-ssi!" A student jumped onto the desk in front of him, catching him by surprise. "I'm Daehyun by the way. Jung Daehyun!" He excitedly greeted while flashing Jimin a toothy grin.

Jimin returned the smile and gave a slight bow towards the boy. "Park Jimin."

"Stop bothering the new student Daehyun! He doesn't need someone annoying him on his first day." Another student with shiny black hair and pale skin walked up to them, swinging his arm around Daehyun's shoulder and pulling him into a tight headlock. The boy turned to look at him with a warm smile. "I'm Youngjae. Sorry about my best friend. He just likes to randomly come up to people."

Jimin chuckled and shook his head. "It's all good." He replied while slowly closing his english textbook.

Daehyun struggled to get out of Youngjae's grip. "Let me go!" He yelled and swung a dangerous fist towards Youngjae's stomach which was dodged swiftly by the other boy who smirked down at him.

"I will if you promise to stop eating my food from now on!" Youngjae teased, tightening his grip around Daehyun's neck.

Daehyun frantically nodded in reply, slapping Youngjae's stomach repeatedly. "Alright!" He managed to let out as his breath was slowly running out.

Youngjae laughed loudly and slowly loosened his grip. Daehyun harshly pushed him away, an angry pout directed towards him.

" you." Daehyun spat out, fixing his collar and uniform which was somewhat wrinkled now. He was pulling roughly on his clothes, annoyed at how it got messed up.

Jimin watched them with an amused smile on his face. "You two seem really close. How long have you been best friends?"

Youngjae smiled and moved to sit on the empty seat that was paired with the desk Daehyun was seated on while Daehyun leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees.

"We've been best friends since we were kids." Youngjae explained, looking up at Daehyun with a smirk. "But it was only recently that Daehyun grew the balls to ask me to be his boyfriend."

Jimin's eyes beamed with interest. "Really? You two are together?"

"It's hard to believe isn't it?" Daehyun said with a hint of attitude in his voice. "I mean, a handsome guy like me with a guy like him? It just doesn't work." He stated while pointing his thumb at Youngjae.

Youngjae shot him a glare and punched him on the arm. "You !"

Daehyun grabbed his arm, rubbing it slowly as a pained expression formed on his face. "No violence allowed!" He whined with a pout on his face.

The two boys began to argue with one another and forgot about Jimin's presence, pinching and flicking each other once in awhile. Jimin smiled and looked down at his desk, his heart saddening at the cute couple fight that was occurring in front of him. The same empty feeling he had felt at the hospital returned, making him feel down all of a sudden.

"I wish I had a boyfriend." He whispered, a sad smile planted on his face.

Youngjae and Daehyun stopped as they heard Jimin's comment, the couple looking at one another before moving their full attention to Jimin instead.

"Jimin-ssi..." Youngjae quietly called and watched as Jimin slowly looked up to meet eyes with him. "Do you have someone you like right now?" He asked Jimin with concerned eyes.

Jimin let his mind fill with the image of Jinyoung. He honestly didn't know if he liked the older boy, but he was attracted to him for sure. The thought of the event from last night when Jinyoung smiled at him and held his hand to help him stand up made his heart feel super giddy, but a part of him was also sad. He didn't know why but something felt wrong and it seemed as if something inside of him was telling him that what he was feeling was absolutely nothing.

"I know we're not close friends but," Youngjae paused and looked up at Daehyun, earning an encouraging smile from his boyfriend. He quickly returned the smile and turned back to look at Jimin. "We'll be here for you if you need anything."

Daehyun smiled and nodded in agreement, wrapping his arms around Youngjae's neck from behind and pulling his boyfriend closer to him lovingly.

Jimin felt grateful as he looked at both Daehyun and Youngjae, seeing the warm and friendly smiles on their faces. He was extremely happy that he was already able to make such wonderful friends despite it only being the first half of the day. He couldn't help but feel excited about the next people that he would be meeting.

"By the way, just call me Jimin." He told them and they nodded in reply.

"Then just call us Youngjae and Daehyun as well!"

A loud slam caught their attentions as they all snapped their heads towards the door, seeing two boys stomping into the room angrily.

"You better ing take back what you said Jeon Jungkook!"

"Why don't you make me Kim Taehyung?"

Jimin felt something spark in him when his eyes landed on them. *Weren't they the boys who caught me yesterday?* He thought as he narrowed his eyes at them.

"I ing hate your guts."

"The feeling is mutual."

"You little !"

One of the boys swung his fist as it made contact with the other boy's jaw, sending him backwards towards the ground.

Jimin's eyes widened in shock and he abruptly stood up, causing for his chair to fall backwards. He didn't know why but his instincts told him that he should stop the two boys from fighting, which is actually the right thing to do, but there was something deep inside of him that was telling him to stop the fight quickly or something bad might happen.

"Hey!" He called and took a step towards them.

Youngjae held an arm out in front of him. "You do not want to get in that mess Jimin."

Jimin shook his head and pushed Youngjae's arm away, a serious look on his face. "I don't know why but I have to." He said before continuing to walk towards the two boys who were already punching each other on the ground.

Students around the room quickly gathered together, taking out their phones and taking a video of the fighting scene that would always get them excited.

"What the hell is going on here?"

Jimin stopped walking and turned to looked at the door, seeing Kikwang striding into the room with an angry expression planted on his face.

Jungkook and V glared at each other before Jungkook roughly slammed V into the ground one last time and got up, fixing his uniform and turning to look at Kikwang.

Kikwang stopped to stand in front of Jungkook and V. "What the are you two doing?" He asked firmly.

Jungkook raised his eyes to look at Kikwang when his attention moved to the entrance of the classroom, his fist clenching into tight fists.

"What happened in here?" Jinyoung asked when his eyes landed on the desks and chairs that were on the ground. He also noticed how quiet and still the students around the room were.

Jimin felt his heart begin to beat faster as he watched Jinyoung walked further into the room, stopping to stand beside his cousin. He looked down at the ground, trying to stop himself from blushing since it would look weird especially with how tense the room was.

"These two kids were busy fighting like monkeys in here." Kikwang nodded at Jungkook and V.

Jinyoung crossed his arms over his chest as he looked at the two boys sternly. "Do you two know that fighting is not tolerated at this school?"

"Do you know that butting in is not tolerated by me?" V muttered under his breath as he moved his eyes to look at the chalkboard instead.

Jungkook heard V's side comment and held in his laugh that was threatening to come out.

The tense air in the room slowly faded when Kikwang walked towards Jimin with a warm smile.

"Jimin, are you okay?" Kikwang asked and gave his cousin a quick hug, making sure not to hit his injured arm.

Jimin smiled and nodded. "I'm fine."

Kikwang quietly sighed and nodded, patting his younger cousin on the head playfully.

Jimin looked over Kikwang's shoulder and noticed the senior staring at him intently. He began to feel nervous as he bit his lip, trying to calm his beating heart which was close to exploding. Jinyoung flashed him a quick wink before turning around and beginning to walk out of the room. Jimin watched with unblinking eyes, a smile forming on his face when Jinyoung disappeared from his sight.

*He really is cute.* He shyly thought.

Kikwang raised an eyebrow at Jimin's expression. He didn't know why but his cousin looked dazed but awake. He shook his head and looked over his shoulder at V and Jungkook, seeing angered look on their faces. He glared deeply at them.

"You two better get out of this room right now and go in different directions before I shove you into the principal's office." Kikwang threatened.

Jungkook and V cursed under their breaths but quickly followed Kikwang's instructions, giving each other one last push when they exited the classroom. They ended up moving in the same direction but they kept a safe distance in between them, their faces firm and their gaze strong. They ignored the looks and attention students gave them, moving through many hallways until they found themselves in the abandoned classroom where they finally let go of their tough exterior.

Jungkook bit his bottom lip and looked at V with guilt. "Did I hurt you when I pushed you?" He asked, scanning V's body up and down to check for any hidden injuries.

V pouted, slowly nodding. "The desk hit my side."

Jungkook lightly chuckled at the cute expression on V's face. He shook his head and moved to lightly rub V's side, stopping when V held onto his hand.

"Did I hit you too hard?" V worriedly asked and rested his hand softly on Jungkook's jaw.

Jungkook pushed his hand away while shaking his head. "It didn't hurt. Don't worry."

A worried look could be seen in V's eyes. "Are you sure?"

Jungkook rolled his eyes in reply. "None of your punches ever hurt me before, and it doesn't hurt me now either." He flashed V a playful smirk.

V sneered at him. "Why you--"

"Anyway," Jungkook cut him off, turning around and walking over to the windows. "Do you think our plan for Jimin to notice us worked?"

"It worked. Until that dude with the smile came into the scene." V glared annoyingly into the distance.

"It's Jinyoung..." Jungkook tiredly whispered before raising an eyebrow at him. "Wait, what do you mean?"

"I noticed Jimin walking over to us while we were fighting and I think he was about to stop us until Kikwang hyung came in. Then when that dude with the smile came in, he just had that lovey dovey look in his eyes again." V explained, moving over to Jungkook and wrapping an arm around his shoulder.

Jungkook sighed in frustration. *No matter how many times I tell him it's Jinyoung, he just doesn't listen.*

"The plan was somewhat ruined in the end." V said as he began to feel upset.

Jungkook turned to look at V and saw the sad expression on his face. Jungkook softened as he slowly wrapped his arms around V's waist and leaned his head on his shoulder where it fit perfectly.

"Don't worry. We'll get him soon." Jungkook whispered, a small smile on his lips.

V also let a small smile grow on his lips as he rested his head on Jungkook's head, closing his eyes to relax his tired mind.

"Then we better hurry up. We don't want to keep Jimin waiting."
