Chapter 2: THE MESSENGER

Kris opened his house door.

“Lay, I’m back!”
“Oh, brother, you come back right in time for dinner.”
“Really?”
“Yup, let me heat the food.”

Lay casts Fire Spell on the food to heat them.

“My little brother is good in magic.”
“Of course! Can I fight now?”
“Lay.”
“Sorry, but…”
“You know the promise right, you…”
“Can’t fight before 18…”
“Yes.”

They start having dinner.

“But one of my friend has started to fight.”
“Krystal?”
“How you know that?”
“Saturnine today and she had help me.”
“She is such nosy.”
“I thought you were friends?”
“Nah…she always bothers me.”
“I thought you are very intimate to her.”

Lay casts a mini Lightning Spell on Kris’s hand.

“Ouch! LAY!!!”
“Say that again, I dare you!”

Kris stands up.

“You’re done now…Watch this…TICKLE SPELL!!!”
“STOP!!! I’m sorry, I’m sorry!!!”

Meanwhile, at Krystal’s home…

Krystal opens the door and slams it hard. Her dad who reading a newspaper on a sofa sees her.

“What’s going on?”

Krystal messes her hair angrily.

“That Kris…I don’t want to talk about him now!”
“I told you. He will never teach you. Let me hired some professionals to teach you, okay?”
“No! I don’t want them to teach me! They don’t even know about the power of emblem!”
“We’ll talk about that later. Jessica! Are the dinner ready?”

A maid comes out from kitchen.

“Yes master.”

Krystal runs towards her.

“Jessica, I’m so hungry. Let’s eat.”
“Yes mistress.”
“Don’t call me mistress, just call me Krystal.”
“But mis…”
“This is an order!”
“Yes mis…”
“Eyy…”
“Yes Krystal…”

After dinner, Krystal goes to the backyard filled with targets for training. Jessica stands besides her. Krystal summons the Spirit Bow and fires arrows at the targets. All of the arrows hit the bullseye.

“You’re so great mistress.”

Krystal dispels her bow. She sits down on a bench and sighs.

“Are you okay?”

Krystal smiles at Jessica and nodes. She does a sign to tell Jessica to sit beside her. Jessica sits down. Krystal sighs again.

“I’m not that great…”
“Why you say that?”
“When I was 5, I used to watch my mom training here.”

Jessica keeps silent.

“She was the best archer…”

Krystal starts to cry. Jessica comforts her.

“Don’t cry Krystal. I’m here with you.”
“Why…Why is her…Why…I...Saturnine…mom…”
“Saturnine’s retribution is near…”

Krystal is still crying. When she was 6, the Saturnine’s Legion Hasaleon, the main town of Gasaleon. Krystal’s mother was the Archer Emblem Carrier. She fought bravely. But she was killed by The Lucifer. She gave Krystal’s the emblem, and told her to fight bravely.

“I must be strong. I must have a firm mind.”
“Yes, you are the heir of the Jung family. You must be strong.”

The next day morning…

A wounded knight is galloping with his Heorse (horse in Legaiona’s language) and going into the Gasaleon’s Palace.

“Open the gate! I’m the messenger of Zamoleon’s Kingdom! I have important message.”

In the throne room, under the king of Gasaleon and his guards accompanied, the messenger is gasping.

“What happened, the messenger of Zamoleon.”
“Saturnine has destroyed the Zamoleon’s Kingdom, your majesty.”
“What?!”
“Camase, the Archer Chaos Ravager said that Gasaleon will be the next…”

The knight spits blood.

“Call the Mage!”
“Your majesty, it’s useless, I was poisoned by the Dark Arrow. Your Majesty must be prepared for the fight…”

The knight collapsed.

“General, told the men to prepare for the fight.”
“Yes, your majesty.”
“And…tell Kris to be ready for any situation.”
“Yes.”

Meanwhile at Kris’s home…

“Bro, I’m going to school…”
“Yes, be careful Lay…”

Lay grabs his emblem and goes to the school. When he opens the door, two soldiers are standing outside.

“Eh…May I help you?”
“We’re looking for Kris .”
“Wait a second. BRO!!! You have guests!”

Kris comes out from his room.

“Lay, you go first…”
“Ok.”

Lay leaves.

“Yes sir, may I help you.”

The soldiers tell him what happened…

“Yes, I’ll be prepared…”
“Thanks for cooperation.”
“It’s my duty.”

Meanwhile at outskirt area of Gasaleon, Camase and his army are marching towards Gasaleon.

“The Emblem Carriers are done this time.”
