“What do you mean by, 'study him'? What kind of person do you take me for?” his voice was calm, but he was everything but calm. Eyes narrowed at his elder, Youngbae actually felt a little bit irritated. Since he was small, the boy learned from his parents to never take people's kindness for granted. If he wanted to be treated kindly, he'd have to treat them kindly in return. He grew up thinking that was right, but to have his friend tell him to do otherwise? It felt wrong to him. He hated being fake to others, no matter who they are. He'd learned in this short period of time to trust Jiyong, even with the little faith he had on him. The blonde didn't hurt him-- well, to the point where it threatened his life, at least-- so Youngbae thought he should treat the other in the same way. What Seunghyun was telling him to do... it was absurd.

The elder scoffed. He punched Youngbae's arm somewhat, but not too roughly and narrowed his eyes at the younger male. He tightened his lips in a grimace. “I don't need your naivety or goody-goody behaviour, Bae. I don't give a if he didn't kill you, or whatever. In the end, he's still a croat. Did you forgot what you're trying to do? You're getting revenge for your parents' death. If anything, you should be studying whatever inhuman that moves and breathes. Got that?” The elder's voice lowered into a snarl. The guy was serious. He closed his distance with Youngbae enough that the two were almost nose to nose from each other. Youngbae didn't react from the two's closeness. Seunghyun was still his friend's boyfriend. In the end, this male was acting this way only because he cared for him. If he didn't suggest this to Youngbae for the good, he probably would have already killed Jiyong.

Youngbae pushed at the elder's shoulder, enough so that Seunghyun was further away from him. He glared back at the elder male. Although he hated the idea, he knew what Seunghyun suggested was a good idea. After all, he needed to kill off whatever killed his parents. He had no idea what they were, but he'd never forgive those creatures. He didn't want to use Jiyong because of what he was, but maybe he could pull it off without having the other blonde figure anything out. What could happen anyways? He doubted the other would care. Why not? “I know that, but if Jiyong is different, its out of place for me to use him to get information in order to kill. I don't like using people. That's exactly what you're making me do. Study him, it's the same as using him.”

Sighing, the elder patted Youngbae's shoulder lightly. He knew how his friend was. The things he learned, about how to treat others around him. In his eyes, the blonde was way too nice. He never knew how to say no to people when he really needed it. Now was another example. When given the chance to advance, when given the chance to learn how to hunt, he wouldn't do it. Why? Was it something about Jiyong? How this male acted? No , it was. Jiyong was different, and that's what's making Youngbae hesitate. If Jiyong wasn't just a mere half croat, Youngbae wouldn't have hesitated to kill the male. It was good that the blonde was so kind hearted, but he needed to learn faster than mere textbooks. Textbooks didn't do much. You'd need to find a monster and kill it. That's how people learn. “I know that, but honestly, Bae... you need to learn how to be less kind. You want to know how to get revenge on whatever it was that killed your family, right?” he paused and glanced at Youngbae. In the darkness of the hall, he couldn't see much of the other male, but he saw a slight nod. “If you're going to do that, depending on textbooks alone, it's not going to help much. You need to take action. Jiyong's sitting right out there.” seunghyun pointed at the head of the hall where they came from. “He's within grasp, and won't even harm you. What's so bad about studying him? It's not like it matters to him. Study him. Once you're done, then stop. You'll gain your knowledge and he'll have his normal life. No harm done.”

Pursing his lips in a frown, the blonde glared at the ground in front of him. The elder did have a point. Nothing's going to happen anyways. It's not like Jiyong's going to do much about it. In fact, it probably wouldn't affect him either. Jiyong's not going to lose any skin, and Youngbae would gain knowledge. Nodding after a few seconds, he looked back up at Seunghyun. “Fine, you're right... I'll do that. But I doubt I'll learn much unless I get close to him and watch how he acts around others. But I guess it'll benefit me.” he said. Jiyong wouldn't know he's doing anything, it was as simple as that. Convincing himself that it wasn't a big deal, the boy nodded just as three guys showed up behind Seunghyun.

“Yah. I was wondering what took you guys so long.” Seungri's voice rang from the darkened hall, and Seunghyun's facial expressions changed from that of seriousness to a warm smile. He wrapped an arm around the younger and pulled him close to his chest.

“Hey, nothing, we just had something to talk about, but it wasn't anything.” he said. “Youngbae knows that Jiyong's not a human, but aside from that, nothing important. I think theres something different about Jiyong?” he spoke, turning his statement into a question towards the end and the elder turned to look at Youngbae. The blonde nodded, and Seungri repeated the action. He could tell that the blonde was different ever since they met. For some reason, it felt okay for the younger. He grew rather fond for the other, mainly because of his style. He wanted to be like Jiyong, and he knew Jiyong felt the same as well. Hearing what his lover said, he assumed that everything they'd worried about was already in the past. There isn't anything to worry about Jiyong for. He wanted to be friends with Jiyong and Daesung. It sounded a little cheesy for him, but it was what he felt for those two males. They were interesting.

“Think anything happened with those two?” Daesung asked the elder and leaned back in his seat. The burger wrappers sat crumpled in front of him on the table. Two empty red cartons sat on the tray as well, both emptied of fries. A few paper cups laid on their sides in the trays on the table. Jiyong pressed his elbows on the little space the trays lefts of the table. He rested his chin on the back of his hands and looked up at his friend. His eyes were half lidded from boredom.

“Psst... doubt it. Does that Seunghyun guy look like someone who can be easily messed around with? He'd been glaring at me all day. Youngbae came at me with a blade.” he rolled his eyes sarcastically. Youngbae was more strong than he appeared, and Jiyong wondered why Daesung worried about him so much. The blonde had muscles, and was well built. The blonde obviously noticed these manly features of the elder, not like he bothered to stare at the other's attractiveness. It was evident to anyone who noticed, and Jiyong was one who notices certain details. No, he wasn't worried about Youngbae. Although, one thing he did find irritating was Seunghyun. That guy didn't stop staring at him. It was creepy. He felt the elder's eyes on him at every second they were there. Every time he moved, there they were. It made Jiyong feel self conscious. He almost wanted to turn back and stare, but he knew Seunghyun's eyes wouldn't budge even if he did so. Jiyong ignored the glares he received from Seunghyun, focusing on his conversations with Seungri and Daesung. He managed to get only small talk from Youngbae, after all, he still felt uncomfortable with his former murderer.

The younger male laughed and nodded. He pulled out his cell phone to check the time before sticking it back in his pocket. He doubted Seunghyun would be picked on easily. He noticed the elder glaring at his friend, and knew that he didn't want to get on the guy's bad side. He hadn't the slightest clue if him or Jiyong were on the eldest's bad side, but it seemed so from the glares he witnessed. Maybe it had something to do with what Jiyong did to Youngbae. Be it out of self defence, he did do damage of sorts on Youngbae when he knocked the elder unconscious. Jiyong wasn't entirely blameless, that fact remained true. “As much as I don't wanna blame you, you did kind of deserve those glares from the friend of the one you knocked unconscious.” he grinned widely at the blonde, who only scowled at him.

Jiyong punched Daesung's arm playfully, causing the younger to laugh harder in response. “Hey, I was defending myself! Unless you want to see me on my dead. Some friend you are.” he smirked at his friend's guilty expression. It was easy getting Daesung guilty for saying or doing some things that he did, and the blonde took advantage of that. He loved teasing the younger, and it made him feel bad at times too. Regardless, he couldn't help it. Daesung was so gullible.

“No, no, no, I don't! I'm just saying... he was attacking you, yes, but you knocked him unconscious and left him there for a night and if it was me, I would have been sending you glares too because it's rude and--” he stopped when he felt himself running out of breath. Daesung knew that Jiyong was only joking with him, but he still felt that it was rude for him to say what he did. Pursing his lips tightly, Daesung stared stubbornly at the table and crossed his arms. His back still pressed against the orange seat as he breathed deeply out of his nose.

Jiyong couldn't help but crack into a huge grin. He laughed at his friend's response and waved his hands in front of him. “Alright, alright, I was only kidding, you should no that, brah.” he said, chuckling a few seconds after. The blonde nodded. “But yeah, I know. I would have been pissed too, but it wasn't entirely my fault, so I'm not gonna be too irritated over it.” he said, smiling softly before looking up at his friend, who looked up in surprise as well. “Should we go and check them out? Since we're done with our food and ...” he said, pointing at the empty trash on the trays in front of the two.

Daesung waved his hand a little and shook his head. “Nah, they're heading back already. I'll go throw this out.” he said, his chin pointed at the trays. The younger got up from his seat and took the brown trays from the table. Dumping the trash from one of the trays into the other, he stacked the full tray on the empty one and turned around. Walking down the lane between the food court tables, he stopped in front of the trash cans just as the group of three arrived at the table Jiyong was still sitting in. The green haired male pushed against the handle of the trash can and dumped the trash from his tray inside.

Hearing the noisy chatter from behind him, the blonde turned in his seat and the first person he noticed was Youngbae. The male's facial expressions seemed a little different from the carefree attitude he had on earlier. Jiyong narrowed his eyes a little, but shrugged it off. He could have just remembered something he had to do. Pulling his left hand from its resting position on the table, he nodded lightly and saluted the other guys that stopped in front of him. “Yo.” he said, grinning slyly.

He couldn't have found it more awkward to have even little conversations with Jiyong. Youngbae smiled lightly and nodded. His hands still in his jacket pockets, he greeted the blonde in return. “Aye.” Although the two were starting to talk now, he couldn't push the idea that Seunghyun planted from in his head. Use this guy? Well, it seemed to be a likely thing to do under this situation. He wasn't going to debate on it anymore. If it was a good enough suggestion, he was willing to press on and try it out. There was no backing out of it now. They were this far in the relationship now, so they might as well continue it.

From the narrowed eyes of Jiyong, something about the blonde made Youngbae think that this guy was someone he didn't want to lie to. This guy looked so serious, could he have sensed his change in attitude? It couldn't be. He didn't change his facial expressions enough for anyone to notice any difference. Regardless, Youngbae couldn't help but worry over it. Dismissing the thought entirely, he leaned his back against the table just as Seungri sat down in his seat and took the attention away from him. Seunghyun walked over so he was right behind Seungri. “Well, me, Youngbae and my boyfriend planned to go shopping. What do ya say about coming along with us? Are you guys busy or anything?” he looked at Jiyong in question, just as Daesung walked back to the group from the trash can. The trays that he'd just emptied sat on top of the trash can, both neatly stacked.

Smiling, Jiyong looked at Seungri and shrugged a little. “Well, I don't have anything going on later. I just shut my store down for the day, so why not?” he turned to Daesung as the younger male came and sat down next to Jiyong. “Hey, Dae, do you have anything planned for tonight? These three's asking if we wanted to go shop with them.” he said.

The idea made the green haired male grin, and the younger nodded eagerly. “Sure! I wanna get to know these guys. I haven't had enough time lately to socialize, and I need more friends.” he chuckled. Daesung's lips spread wide across his face in a grin, and he stood up. “So, that's it. Let's go, ehh?” he said, chuckling softly and flung his arm around Seungri's shoulders.

The move caused Seunghyun to widen his eyes a little in shock. His face had been stiff for the past hour, and the sudden break in his facial expressions made everyone shocked. He shoved Daesung off playfully. “No touching my love, yo!” he said, his face in a dorky grin.

Daesung's eyes widened for a moment before laughing hysterically. “Okay, okay, geezes! You've been frowning all night, man. Your smile freaked me out!” he whined. The younger male rubbed his arm gently from where he'd just been shoved. Even Jiyong was shocked from the sudden commotion.

Rolling his eyes, Jiyong chuckled softly to himself. “You guys, how old are you, three?” he teased, turning to smirk at the elder. Seunghyun had been sending him glares all night, and the blonde wanted to see what reaction he'd get from the elder this time. Was this guy pissed at him for what he did to Youngbae, or was he just feeling grumpy? The blonde stared at Seunghyun and waited for a reaction.

In response, Seunghyun only returned the smirk. So Jiyong was that smart to have noticed his stares. He didn't expect Jiyong to have noticed his glares, but it was evident that the younger wanted a response from him. He didn't have anything against the blonde now, since he knew about the male. He knew, at least, that Jiyong wasn't going to murder them all in their sleep. That alone was comforting to him. He still didn't trust Jiyong, but with his suggestion to Youngbae, he'll just sit back and watch to see what happens next.

“Oh my God, are you ing with me?!” Jiyong exclaimed loudly. He leaned forward, his hands pressed above his knees as he laughed loudly. The group had only walked in the direction of HMV when Youngbae spotted a clothing store. He'd wanted to buy more wife beaters for the summer when, to his surprise, Jiyong followed right behind him. He'd slowed his pace, figuring that he wanted to make small talk with the other blonde. They had the same friends now, so it was only nice that he'd tried to work things out with Jiyong. From talking about their interests, Youngbae learned a lot about Jiyong. This male liked the same food as him. He was also a Christian. That struck the elder blonde as odd, since Jiyong was only half human. He was partly a creature that belonged in Hell, which was ironic. The elder dismissed it though, focusing on the interests Jiyong had.

Another thing that Youngbae found interesting was that this guy also liked fashion. He didn't really have that much interest in clothing, but he was slowly developing an interest in it. He doesn't just put on whatever that was comfortable to him now. Instead, Youngbae liked wearing clothes that made him look more attractive. Although his clothes didn't exactly change the last few years, he was more self conscious in how he looked in public. Like Jiyong, they both cared about their public reputation. The two males were also rather serious in certain times: when they needed to be. Although Jiyong was still a little more goofy and social than Youngbae. Youngbae was more on the quiet side.

Shaking his head, the blonde laughed as well. “No, I ain't kidding. Seungri used to love girls so much, so that's what I'd do to him, and he fell for it every time because he's such a brat.” he grinned, picking up a black tank top from the rack. He examined the simple looking wife beater. The straps were simple; thick for males to wear, or for athletic females. The rim of the straps dipped down low, exposing the chest area in a wide semi circle. The wife beater was skinny, and would probably wrap his body well. It was something he'd always wanted, since all his old ones were lose on him. They hung so low, exposing his stomach as well. Because his body was getting more and more developed now, he thought a skinny tank top would work well on him. Resting it on his arm, he left the rack. He didn't want to try it on, since there were so many people lining up.

Jiyong followed the elder. His arms held a loose white t-shirt along with jackets, each with a different colour from the rest. Youngbae eyed them in the blonde's arms and quirked a brow up. He knew Jiyong loved fashion, but to have four of the same jackets, each with a different colour... wasn't that doing it over a little? He chuckled to himself, but the blonde barely noticed. Jiyong turned and patted the elder's arm lightly. “Hey, you're pretty funny, I'm kinda glad I met ya.” he stated simply. Smiling at his now friend/acquaintance, Jiyong couldn't help but feel like he was finally accepted. Youngbae didn't shun him out, especially after having been knocked unconscious. For Jiyong, it seemed a bit crazy. Maybe the fact that Jiyong didn't kill Youngbae, while Youngbae was trying to made Youngbae feel like he owed it to Jiyong. Either way, he wasn't going to take the kindness for granted. Youngbae seemed like a nice guy. If he had grown up in a different setting, he could have been the other blonde's best friend too.

Grinning, Youngbae nodded, offering his fist to Jiyong, expecting the other male to understand his action. Jiyong did. The two males fist bumped. “Yeah, I could say the same about you too, man. Maybe we could hang out more often, eh? I'm surprised we've only met now.” he said softly, chuckling when he looked at the other male. Jiyong's silver earring stood out, complimenting the male's more feminine, yet fashionable features. Like him, Youngbae also wore an earring. He noted their resemblances outside of mere personalities.

Elbowing the other in the ribs, Youngbae gestured to the pile of clothes in Jiyong's arms. “Hey, you actually gonna buy all that? That's like $300!” Youngbae had a lot of money himself, from the many scholarships he'd been offered in university, and the money his family had left for him. But he didn't know if Jiyong had that much. Maybe he could offer to pay for the blonde. He did owe the other male for not killing him, and Youngbae felt guilty for even attempting to kill Jiyong.

“Nah, I got it. I got a load of money anyways. Plus, I could work my way at the store for more money.” he grinned. The two males stopped at a short black pole with an opening slit on one side of it, right at the top of the pole. A black velcro strap was wound around a thinner pole behind the slit. The pole itself was a shell over the thinner pole inside. It marked the start of the cash register line. The two males walked past it and waited behind a red line marked on the floor. The cashiers were all working with one customer each, so they waited their turn.

“You sure about that?” Youngbae asked again. He didn't know how else to pay Jiyong back, so he really wanted a reason to pay for Jiyong. But if the blonde was going to reject the offer, he didn't have much choice than to let it go. Jiyong nodded in response, just as one of the customers in front of one of the cashiers grabbed their shopping bag and walked away from the desk. She slipped her arm through the loop, and the bag straps rested on the crook of her elbow. With a nod, Youngbae walked to the cashier to pay for his wife beater.

From the spot behind the red line, Jiyong watched as Youngbae walked to the cashier, stopping at the desk. As his newly met friend threw the black wife beater on the desk, Jiyong couldn't help but admire the other's sense of style. He'd admired Youngbae's style many times before, but this time, it felt different. The other's clothes, Jiyong couldn't help but compare them to his own. They were different, that was true. Youngbae seemed to wear a bit more lose and baggy clothes. For example, Youngbae's jeans were certainly more baggy than his. They rested low on his hips. Jiyongs, in comparison, were skinny. They hugged the younger blonde's waist nicely, and made his skinny frame stand out. Apart from that, the two's shirts and jackets were pretty much the same. They both liked wearing jackets. That just made the younger male more curious of the other. Youngbae had points that made him different from Jiyong, yet the two were so much alike. Jiyong wanted to be closer with Youngbae. He smiled softly. The two had been through so much, he's surprised that neither of the two hate each other right now. He was so used to people hating him regardless of what he did. Youngbae didn't act like all those other people. That alone made Jiyong feel special.

“Let's get something to drink, guys.” Seunghyun suggested to the other two. Daesung tilted his head a little. The last time he got drunk, Jiyong left and got into a fight. He didn't remember much of that night at the club either, but maybe he could give it another go. The only problem was Seungri. He was told that this guy was two years younger than Youngbae. Youngbae was nineteen, so Seungri wasn't even at the legal age to be drinking. What would he do?

“But your lover's too young to drink.” Daesung pointed out. He gestured at Seungri, who only grinned evilly in response. Confused, Daesung headed out of the HMV store with the other two. Each of them held a plastic brown bag. His own contained three movie DVD's that he'd been too lazy to go to the movie theatre to watch.

“You don't need to worry about that.” he said smartly. The younger, slipping his arm in the loop of his plastic bag full of headphones and a giant panda cushion, he stuck his hand in his jacket pocket for his wallet. The three continued walking, and stopped in front of the couches that sat in the middle, between the HMV store and an Abercrombie store. Pulling out his wallet, Seungri opened it and pulled out a card that looked more like a student card. It was his identification card. On it, it read that his age was nineteen. With a huge, proud grin, Seungri waited for the green haired male to respond. Daesung was shocked. “Didn't you find it odd that I was in the club with you guys the other night?”

Hm, that was true. Daesung nodded. Why was he so oblivious to that? Of course Seungri had a fake identification on him. The legal age to go to a club was nineteen, after all. The younger was sure rowdy. But it was normal, considering his boyfriend was the goofy Seunghyun. “Wow, then I believe we don't have any problems. Let's wait for the other two to come out. They're sure getting along rather well, considering they barely got along at all earlier today.” Daesung chuckled softly. The other two complied. Sitting at the couches, the three waited for Youngbae and Jiyong to return.

A short time after, the two blondes stepped out of the clothing store. Jiyong held a giant paper bag full of jeans, shirts and jackets. He flung the bag over his left shoulder, fingers pointing behind him as the bag hung off his shoulder and at his back. The elder tucked his plastic bag that held his tank top in the pocket under his jacket. Making sure the object was secure inside, Youngbae pulled his jacket over his chest and zipped it half up. The shirt he wore under his jacket remained exposed.

“Hey, welcome back you two!” Seunghyun looked up at the two males and grinned. He walked over to Youngbae and patted him roughly on the shoulder. Jiyong headed towards Daesung and placed his paper bag on the chair next to his friend.

Seungri walked to where his boyfriend stood, and turned to Jiyong. “Hey, Jiyong-ah. Youngbae. We just decided to go to a pub. You guys want to come?” the youngest of the group eyed Youngbae and Jiyong, waiting for them to respond. He hadn't had much time to hang out with Youngbae, and he liked the sound of hanging out with a group of people. When he was younger, all his friends were younger than him. Because of that, they were all so naive and innocent that he could never have fun or do anything reckless. That, alone, disappointed him. But since he'd met Youngbae and Seunghyun, he'd been allowed to do so much more things he never thought he could. Drinking alcohol was one thing, and going to a club was another.

“Yeah, sure. Sounds cool, how 'bout you, Bae? You in?” he turned his head, pointing his chin at the other blonde, who turned from suggesting something to Seunghyun. Although he'd just met Youngbae, and there wasn't much to think of his and Youngbae's friendship, the blonde couldn't help but think he sounded a little too suggestive. Why was he asking the elder if he wanted to come anyways? He didn't give a if the other was coming or not. He was only going because he'd already closed his shop for the day. Jiyong let the thought slide when Youngbae smiled back in response.

“Why not? We'll use that time to get to know each other better, sound good?” he said. The others nodded, and soon, the group headed towards the front doors of the mall. Youngbae found himelf getting more and more curious of Jiyong as they spoke. Although he had to do what his elder suggested that he do, he still wanted to learn more about this half human, half beast. This hangout at a pub did more than giving him more knowledge on whatever Jiyong was. It fed to his now growing curiosity of this blonde male. For some reason, the other's personality lingered in his mind. Why didn't he think like this with every other person he'd met? He values friendship so much, so why is this one so different to all the other ones?

Confused, Youngbae pondered silently to himself as he climbed into his car. The other males headed in different directions, taking their own cars. The three males followed Jiyong and Daesung's car, as the two males led the direction to the pub. Looking in front of him, the blonde peered through the seats inside the car in front of him. His eyes lingered on the back of Jiyong's head, as the guy rested his left arm on the window at his side. His hand hung down past the car's window sill, though Younbae barely noticed it. Pressing on his car pedal, Youngbae pushed his car forward just as the light turned green, following the males in front of him. Seunghyun and Seungri followed close behind Youngbae, and the five males started for the pub a few blocks away.

Chapter 10: YAAAHHHH!! Good story! I like that Bae is starting to think beyond his obsession, even if Hyung is pushing him towards it hard. Ji-ah deserves a chance. Obviously, he isn't as big of a monster as everyone thinks, except Dae-Dae of course. I just want Bae to figure him out and realize WHY he is so interested...LOL
