It has been a while since I have been home. Everything is still the same from the outside. As I stood outside the old house I felt some sort nostalgia. The tree swing that me and my brother played on still hung. The porch light was still slanted, and the bench was still missing pieces of wood. The paint was chipping but this is how I remember the house. Something's never change. 

         Before I can knock on the door, it flung open. "Honey! Your back from your fishing trip." My mother said not even glancing at me, she has always been careless. "Mom its me, Suji." My mom slowly turned around a big smile crept up on her face. The wrinkles on her eyes appeared more noticeable, she immediately pulled me into a hug. I breathed in her smell it smelt like home.         "Mom are you crying?"        "Maybe... It's just that I haven't seen you since we last visited you." She said through hic ups.          "Mom I told dad that I was coming since I have some free time." That old man forgot about me; he was probably too busy getting ready for his trip. My mother had lead me into the house leaving my duffle bag on the couch.         "Sit." She demanded."I'm going to make some tea." She hurriedly walked into the kitchen singing. I couldn't help but chuckle at her antics. How long has it been since I have come home? A year or maybe more. It wasn't because I did not love my family it was just that the commute from Seoul to Gwangju was tiring. I also don't have enough time to take off from having to go to uni, work and studying. I'm in my second year of university and life was just to hectic. There is also another reason why don't like coming home and that one hurt too much.        The inside of the house was a bit different the old couches were gone, replaced by black leather ones. The tv has also been upgraded. There was still the old pictures on the wall, family portraits and children's art that had been collected from my siblings and mine school days.       "So, mom I talked to Mari?" I yelled from the dinner table. Mari is my older sister that lives in America. "She told me Sangmun got himself an American girlfriend." I told her. Sangmun, my little brother decided to study aboard so he now lives in America with my sister and her family.        "I know, I'm so sad my children live so far away." She sighed, setting a hot cup of tea in front of me. "We might go visit them you should come with us."     "I'm not sure mom, I'm trying to graduate early so I'm taking extra classes."       "For this whole year you have been working yourself too much. You don't visit often, you don't come to the party's I host or anything!" She said rather exasperated. It was true I tried to avoid any family functions that where held in my parents house and the only reason why I came today was because lately ever thing has been stressing me out.      "I know you Suji and your not telling me something." A stern look on my mothers face told me she was hurt.       Right when I was going to tell her everything the front door was opened revealing  two men in their fifties. One of those men is my father his black hair hidden underneath a cap, his clothes is drenched and the smell that came off of him penetrated the whole house. The man behind him is their next door neighbor Mr. Kim.        "You both smell like fish, go take a shower." She told the two men.         "I just wanted to stop by and say hello to Suji. Sangchan told me she was here." Said Mr. Kim. I got up from my seat and gave him a bow.       "Hello Mr. Kim, how have you been?"
