Joon moaned as he began to wake, though it took him a few moments to realize why he was . And when he did he could only long for the blessed emptiness his dreams had brought. Pain, sharp but dull, throbbing and aching throughout his body. It hurt. Everything.
He had long been on campaign, he had wounds and scars as much as the next man. But never could he recall quite so…many.
“Joon?” someone’s soft voice questioned and he turned, questing for the owner. Thunder. How was it that in just a few short days he had become used to waking up to Thunder instead of Mir? What had changed? Was he meant to go or stay, move on or let things be? He recalled the traitorous kiss he had allowed the other to bestow upon his forehead. He could have stopped it. But he hadn’t.
He didn’t want to reply, wanted to stay there, as impertinent as ever and just not listen to what anyone else said. But it was Thunder talking, and at some point in all of this, he had started to…like, the other. He could never be Mir, but he wasn’t asking him to be. He was only asking him to be him. The him that had made his time in this dungeon not a living hell. Even these cuts and bruises were bearable, and all because of him. Thunder.
