Chapter 8:

* OC POV *

From the argument with me till now, Kai was nowhere to be found.

And

I can't take his face out of my mind.

His expression at that time was so ... strange, so not him. His eyes was so angry, yet so lost and fragile. His voice showed the nervourness and sometimes even trembled. When he held my wrist, I noticed his hold was tighter than normal. And after he saw my hurt expression, his eyes seemed like regret, I'm not sure. Seeing him at that stage, all the angry, madness in my chest just disappeared itself and I feel the urge to hug him tightly in my arm and tell him that everything will be alright.

"Hana. Hana..." Yoobi sis waves her hand in front of my face.

"Yeah unnie" I startle.

"Someone's calling. What have you been thinking?" She chuckles and points one finger to the direction of my phone which is ringing non - stop. I answer, didn't take notice of the ID.

"Hello, who's.."

"Oh my cutie Hana. Finally I can hear your sweet swe. voi..ce"

Is that Kai? Why does his voice seem so different? And what with the 'cutie'? Is he alright? "Kai?" I gently say, doubtly.

"Oopps. You didn't rea..lize me? I'..m hurt. So..s..o hurt." So it's Kai. And he's not alright.

"Where are you? What with the noise?" I can't help worrying. The noise is too loud where Kai is. It makes me hardly to hear Kai' words. Is he in club? Hearing his voice, I guess he is tipsy right now.

"Where I am? I'..m in para..dise. OMFG. Hey baby!"

What? 'Baby'? I'm not a 'baby'. "Kai, are you ...?" Just then, I hear a loud chuckle from a girl. "Hey y!"

Oh no no. It's not good. Chanyeol once told me that Kai is loyal kind of man and he hate cheating very very much. But what is he doing now? It's a different him.

"Kai, are you drunk?" I ask him again, concern and nervourness make me hard to aware what is going on.

I was expecting Kai' reply but instead, I hear a loud thud, comes next is a man shout, all angry, scary and fierce. "What are you doing with my girl, you ?"

Kai chuckles, the way too loud. "I kissed her. Are you blind?" What is he saying? Is he trying to provoke that man?

"Kiss her?" The man repeats, his voice seems impatient and vexatious. At the same time, I hear a noise like someone was punched. I frown. Is that 'someone' Kai?

"Hu" Kai is smirking, I know it and I swear, he is smirking. "Is that all you can do? Show me what you got?" Kai says with the mock tone. So he got hit, and he want more? This guy is crazy. "Oh. Interesting. This guy is calling for death." The voice of that man is so dangerous that I can't help but believe that he will do ecxactly what he said. "Kai, where are you now?" I can't hide the trembling and nervourness in my voice. My heart is beating madly. My legs feel numb. Please don't do anything stupid!

Still no replies, only thuds can be heard. Thud then thud then thud. And crazy chuckle from Kai. I never feel so helplessly and the urge to cry clinging in my heart. The more thud I heard the more my heart tighten. Where are you, Kai? Just say it.

After a while, that scary sound stops. "I think it's enough. He seems unconcious." Someone says. Unconcious? Don't tell me...

"Kai. Kai.." I call him. I feel tears are builing up.

"Hey I see the phone still on so... can you come here to pick your friend up? He's not good right now. I will send you the address." Another man say, seem like someone who works in that club.

Not wasting an second, I take my hoodie and take my shoes on.

"Hey. What's wrong?" Yoobi frowns. "It's 12 PM and you still want to go out?" She looks me with the disbelief eyes. "Are you insane? It's dangerous out there?"

None of the words she said can get in my mind. All I care now is Kai. Is he alright? No. I must get there, fast.

"Hey Hana!!!" Yoobi calls me, but I already gone.

I don't even remember how I can get here, all sweaty and pounding heart. He' s alright. He's alright. I told myself that more than a thousand time but my heart can't calm down. Never in my life I feel all nevous and useless like this. I imagine a lot of negative context in my head like Kai is now lying in blood. Blood' s every where. Maybe I came too late that he already died, go on and go on...

"Woa. You came so fast." A tall guy look at me with wide suprise eyes. He is like shocking, continuously rubbing his eyes.

"Tell me where he is?" I don't even take a glance at him, my eyes wander every where, looking for him.

"Chill girl. He wakes up now. But drunk, you know." The guy his head to a door near the corner of the club. I go straight to that direction, don't wait for him to lead the way.

"Kai, are you ok?" I rush to Kai. He's now lying at the bench looking like a dead person or he's now dead, it's hard to distingue. Only his unsteady and light like the wind breath is the only sigh proving that he's still alive. The corner of his lips are bleeding. All his face is bruising. His legs and arms are numb. He's like a mess right now. Looking him like that, I feel angry and concern at the same time. "Are you insane?" I snap at him. I'm sure that the tears in my eyes can busrt out any minute right now.

"Oh Hana. My dear Hana!" He tries to get up, but then wrinkles his face because of the pain.

"You idiot. Don't you know how to fight back?" I hit him lightly in the arm, so careful, afraid that he might hurt.

He say nothing, but smiles weakly.

"Can you stand up?"

The club is not so far from his house so we walk. He's a little better now.

"Hana" He suddenly call me. Maybe he's weak now so his voice is so soft and gentle.

"Uhm.."

"I'm... sorry." He avoids my eyes, then walks ahead me a little bit.

"Sorry... for what?" I'm still busy looking at his bruise, it seems bad.

"Stole your first kiss."

"Hey, it was... not my firs.." I blush madly.

"Just accept it. I know." He turns around, talks impatiently. Seeing my face, his look seems ease. "My mind wasn't work well right at that time." He looks down. Maybe he told the truth. His eyes and voice show the sincerity. I haven't seen Kai like that. Mr. Smirk and Mr. Almighty is going somewhere.

"Why?" I couldn't hid my curiosity. Why did he suddenly become so fragile? Why did he become like that, drunk and not the tough one every body knows? Who did all of this to him? I want to know all, but it's hard to ask him at the moment.

Kai doesn't reply. He remains silence. The silence soon becomes the tension lingering in the air, thicker and thicker. Is it that hard to annswer. Is it involve to Krystal? Did he know about what she had done to him?

I couldn't bear the tension so I break it. Maybe in the proper time, he will tell me. "Ok. But what did you mean by that?"

He seems to think a while about what I said. But in the end, he still didn't know. "What?"

"You said before you left." I don't dare to look at his eyes, or I don't want to.

Kai thinks hard about it. His eyebrows almost form to a line."Ah. I saw you with that guy."

"Oh." So he saw Luhan with me. "But it's just a peek on the cheek, not a ki..."

"Ok. You can hit me if you want." Kai talks and he clenchs his eyes shut, waiting for me.

"Are you crazy? Hit you when you are at this stage?"

"Why not?"

Kai sticks his tounge out and walks a little fast forward, left me behind.

"Hey you jerk!" I shout from the back. Just when I was about to quicken my pace to catch up with him, a hand firmly hold my right shoulder. I angrily turn around but the angriness soon be replaced by the fearness.

"Hey guy. Look what we've got here. Such a lovely girl, isn't it?" The guy touching me turns his head around, proudly says with his friends.

"Damn! This girl is so hot!"

"I want her."

"She's mine!!"

All the guys whoot and cheer. They look at me like the hungry wolves.

"Hey baby! Come home late, huh?" A guy start going closer to me. "Mind having a drink with us?"

I'm scared and can't help but trembling. I snap my nails. When I'm afraid of something, I always do that.

"And, is that your boyfriend?" The guy looks over my shoulder. I feel the urge to turn around and call Kai but my whole body is numb and stiff, I could't move even a bit.

"He's not. But..."

"Fantastic. Go with us, you'll have so much fun!" He pulls my wrist, force me to go with him.

"But I need to.." I struggle. Kai. Kai. I call him loudly in my mind.

"Hey!" It's Kai.

All the guys stop, turn to the source of the voice. Seeing Kai, they smirk. Of course, who didn't? Kai now is so easy to beaten up. Moreover, one Kai, but they are four freaking people. No doubt, Kai will be beaten up again. I feel like crying so hard right now.

"Oh. Hi there! Want to join us?" The guy who held my shoulder steps forwards.

Seeing me nervous and scared, Kai smiles assured then face to face with the guy, shows no fear. "Let her go." His voice seems dead seriously.

Silence for 2 minutes then suddenly the gang burst out laughing. The guy fake clean the non-exist tear in his eyes, turns to his friend. "We've got a man here." Then turns around to face Kai. "What if I say no?"

Suddenly, Kai punchs the guy's face so hard that he stumbles backwards, almost fell if his friends didn't hold him back. "What the ?"

Another guy steps ahead, punchs Kai as hard as he did. "Before we doesn't want to do anything , you better leave. She doesn't your girlfriend anyway."

"Who said?" Kai brings his hand close to the mouth to clean the blood. "I'm her boyfriend." As he said, he laid a punch on that guy.

"This idiot is dead meat."
