Chapter 15
Happy Viruses (HIATUS)Amber had herself sprawled out onto the couch--used tissues surrounding her, and the TV playing reruns of old cartoons. "Yo, what's up?" Chanyeol asked, taking a seat on the floor with his back leaning against the couch. "You know, just sick. Isn't it obvious?"
"Ah, not really. You look like this on a regular basis." He snickered. With your messy hair, and baggy T-shirt, and un-lady like posture. Yup, this is normal for you, he pondered. It was already Monday, and Amber was sick at home after her stunt with Chanyeol in the swimming pool.
"Mom! Why'd you let Chanyeol in the house?" She shouted in English.
Her mother laughed, "He said he had something to give you!"
"You have something to give me?" she converted back into Korean.
"Yup!" he reached into his backpack and dropped a pile of papers on the coffee table. "Enjoy." The papers consisted of homework to the practice on for exams.
Amber groaned, "Yup, definitely. Get out." She changed positions so that she had her back to him. Chanyeol took the opportunity to grab his guitar which he hid on the other side of the couch so Amber wouldn't see. He grabbed it, and then sat down on the coffee table, facing Amber. He cleared his throat, and then strummed the strings one time to check if it was still in tune. Amber's ears perked up at the sound of the guitar. She turned around to look at him.
"What are you--" before she could finish her sentence, Chanyeol began playing. It was a peaceful melody and Amber was mesmorized at how calm he looked as he played. After a few seconds of the melody, Chanyeol began rapping.
Amber felt herself blush. Chanyeol looked up and caught her red face. He chuckled, "Did my amazing rapping and guitar playing make you flustered?" He asked jokingly.
"Of course not! I'm sick, so of course my face is red!" Amber lied, throwing a pillow at him. He laughed at her childish actions.
"...Thanks for playing for me...I liked it." Amber blushed even more. Chanyeol was surprised at her sudden compliment. He smiled, relieved that she liked it. He had been practicing it all yesterday before going to visit her. Honestly, even without the papers from school he would've come to visit her anyway.
"I'm glad you liked it." Chanyeol smiled warmly.
