Liu’s residence [Los Angeles, California]

“Why do I have to go to this blind date anyways?” Amber asks her mother while she was dressing up.

“It is not just a simple blind date, my dear. He was the son of your father’s Korean business partner. You know how much your father wishes to expand our business there. And another thing, I heard he is famous in Korea. If I am not mistaken, he is a member of a famous boy group of performers there.” Mrs. Liu patiently explained.

“I don’t care who he is. You know I hate going on dates, especially the part where I have to wear something like this.” She said referring to the dress that she was wearing.

Her mom bought a black tube top mini dress for her. Mrs. Liu also didn’t forget to buy accessories and a cool pair of black pumps to pair with it. 

The whole get up shows how y she is. She know she is a bit boyish, but she still take care of her body and skin like any other typical girl does.

“Please my dear, do this for your dad.” Her mom replied with a requesting tone.

“Yeah, I know. I don’t have the right to escape this.” She said while grinning. She is also uncomfortably pulling her dress down.

Even though she is boyish, her parents always understand her. They accepted her for who she was. As long as she is happy on her choices in life, they support her. So maybe Amber thinks it is not bad to follow and do some of their requests.

Her mother led her to the seat in front of the mirror and started putting make-up on her. Her mother also fixed her hair.

“How I long to comb your hair again like this.” Mrs. Liu whispered.

“I’m sorry I cut it short.” She immediately replied.
“But you still look beautiful my darling.” After saying this Mrs. Liu signalled her daughter, Amber, to look at the mirror.

Amber, herself, was amazed and a bit shocked regarding her reflection. Her mother just enhance her looks by applying a light pat of make-up on her. Amber’s bowler hat hair was just arrange like how she used to but to make it look more feminine, Mrs. Liu attached a feathered hair band on it. 

“is this really me? I can’t believe it. Mom, what did you do?” amber blabbered while hugging her mom tightly.

“you are always that beautiful, you are just not noticing it yourself.” Then her mother hugged her too.
