7TH FLOOR ANTICS
It was another Sunday morning for the tenants of Haedo Apartments to rest after their chaotic week. Haedo Apartments' tenants aren't a bunch of nobodies - some of them are quite popular. Ranging from singers, actors, and even underground rappers. Haedo Apartments were a place where many diverse personalities collide.
Loud voices and shouts were heard from one of the apartment slots at the highest storey, the 7th floor.
"Jeon Jungkook! Come over here and help me carry these boxes!" Jeon Sokyung yelled from the doorstep. She was struggling to carry about three boxes of clothes the same time. Jungkook, the one whom she addressed, was stacking some books on the bookshelf that was mounted on the wall. Now you would think that he could hear her sister's words but a pair of earbuds neatly shut his ears tight as he hummed into some Eminem song.
The Jeon siblings was just one of the new tenants of Haedo Apartments. Their new apartment's condition was pretty messy at that point. Boxes stacked on one corner of the room, the dining chairs and table was still wrapped with plastic; it was brand new. And an opened toolbox was laying on the ground, some screws were spilled from the container and their supposedly new apartment has just turned into a chaotic mess.
A few minutes of walking while carrying three boxes was enough for Sokyung. Especially while trying to avoid the screws that were scattered on the floor as if they were grenades that could explode in any second. She put down the boxes on the sofa and went accross the room to hit Jungkook in the head. It succeeded to attract his attention as he winced in pain, rubbed the sore spot of his head and plugged out the earbuds from his ear. "Why did you do that? It hurts!"
"You should've help me back there," She pointed to the entrance of their apartment, where a few boxes was still stacked on the ground. "that way, I won't hit your head." She huffed, grabbed some strands of her hair and tied her dark brown hair into a ponytail - without the help of a hairband. Yeah, she learned some hair tips from her friends. She checked herself on the dusty mirror before walking back to the doorstep, preparing herself to carry some more boxes.
Jungkook stood there. Completely silent and clueless of what had just happened. Did he just let her sister carry heavy boxes all by herself? He must've been that stupid to use earbuds while re-arranging their new apartment. Nice going, kid.
"Are you going to stand there all day? Or do you want me to push you out of the window to have a nice skydiving from the 7th floor?" His sister's voice brought him back to reality. She was extra sensitive and stingy that day, he didn't know why. Was it that time of the month? He shrugged off that thought and ran to help his sister, he didn't want to appear on the headlines with the title 'Famous Ballerina Jeon Sokyung's brother was found dead - thrown off of their new apartment by the ballerina herself'. His foot neatly swept all the screws aside so he nor his sister would accidentally step on it later. Jungkook was never the caring type, except for her sister, that is. He's mostly oblivious to his surroundings and that's why his foot accidentally tripped over a wire. Resulting him to land bottom first to the hard wooden floor.
"Ouch."
Kwon Soonyoung had returned from work. Well... not so much, he only had to monitor his students - which literally means sitting on the floor, munching on some skewered chickens while occassionally checking his students, who were learning basic moves. Yes, he does dancing for a living. Doing what he loves and gets paid? That's an ideal life. Even if his students were a bunch of middle schoolers who talks like there's no tomorrow.
He was originally a choreographer for his dance crew, Jackson 7. But, he got offered another job at the same place - The Dance Central. And that is, teaching those kids basic dance moves every Sunday. More money for food, he thought.
As the elevator's door was about to close, he heard a faint yell from across the lobby. "Wait!" His fingers pressed the 'open' button on reflex. The one who yelled earlier got in to the elevator, thanked him and pressed the fifth floor button.
Soonyoung recognized this tall and lean guy as Jeon Wonwoo, the photographer. He had a camera bag slung onto his right arm, it was big enough to fit an SLR and its lenses.
Except for the simple 'thank you', Wonwoo didn't say anything as he silently got off at the 5th floor.
Soonyoung knew that Wonwoo wasn't that talkative so he was quite used to it. His foot led him to the only studio apartment at the 7th floor. On his way there, he noticed that one of the used-to-be-empty apartment lofts' door was open.
"New neighbors?" He took a peek at the door, which was the two bedroom loft that was right in front of his room. He noticed that a male and a female were opening the plastic wrap of their dining chairs. Then he shuffled back to his studio, before he completely entered his personal space, he heard a loud scream and huge laughter that followed after - it was from the other two bedroom loft on the left side of his studio.
"Boo Seunggwan! How could you spill orange juice to our brand new sofa?"
For the whole afternoon, Seunggwan was trying to wash off the stain from the sofa. Who knew that an orange juice stain could be this annoying?
Meanwhile, his step sister, Moon Hara was reading a book on a lounge chair. Their apartment was the biggest lot on that floor. Hence the reason why they had their own mini library in their apartment.
He tried every method to wipe the stain off. From wet tissues, wet cloth, even he spilled another glass of cold water to the stain while praying that the stain would 'magically wash away'. Sure enough, he was not living in a fairytale.
Another minute passed with him wiping off the stain with all his might, but it was still there. Apparently, he wiped too hard until the wet cloth went flying in the air, perfectly landing on his sister's face. A smile crept up to his lips and just like that, his laughter filled the room.
Being the victim, Hara threw it back to Seunggwan - but her aim was off, that the cloth end up on the floor.
"You're so going to pay for this."
