Jongdae likes to think he's not camp. And a lot of the time, he's not – most of the time, he's a little geeky and a little bit of an idiot. But when Pride comes around, he turns into a bit of a drunken lush who's willing to dance to anything and will catch the eye of any available guy under sixty.

And this is why Yixing is very, very against the idea of taking their infant son to Pride.

“He's eleven months old, Jongdae,” he says flatly, looking to Kyungmi for help. She just stares at Jongdae, open-mouthed.

“You do remember what you do at Pride, right?” Kyungmi asks hesitantly, more than a little confused. “Because I don't remember anything suitable for a baby, and if you tell me you're planning to take my little boy into a gay bar, I will punch you in your ing taint.” She glares, her expression so frightening that even Yixing – who it's not even aimed at – shivers.

Jongdae's eyes widen, and for a second, Yixing can see he is actually questioning his plans. “I would never take him to a bar! It's not like we'd even get past security with him!”

Yixing sighs, shaking his head. “Oh, so that's the only reason you're not taking our baby into a gay bar? The embarrassment of being chucked out?”

He really wishes Jongdae considered being kicked out a bigger threat, considering the many times Jongdae had been kicked out of clubs for being so drunk he could barely stay upright.

“No!” His boyfriend protests, shaking his head furiously. “You're taking this completely the wrong way! I just want to take him to the parade and stuff, so he be a part of the culture from an early age and, you know, grow up open-minded and...” He trails off, losing steam when he sees the withering look on Kyungmi's face.

Kyungmi snorts. “Darling, he's going to have grow up open-minded, with you as a father,” she tells him, not unkindly. 

Just a tiny drabble in celebration of me coming back from Pride with my father. Drunkenly watching one of your father's friends cop off with a stranger is odd, let me tell you. I would write more, but I am very tired and hormonal. The baby is Shang, by the way! :)
