"She said that, huh?" Himchan started from the recliner arm chair to the left of the sofa, as he twisted open the top of the beer bottle, a slight hiss escaping along with it when he did.   Yongguk took a sip of his beer and nodded lazily, his eyes in the distance as the four of them sat in the living room watching the TV. "Yup."   "Then why not go for it?" Junggup asked, his face contorted in confusion as he looked at his older brother from where he sat next to him on the couch. Yongguk wasn't someone who had trouble picking up women, and he wasn't exactly insecure either, so it baffled him why he would suddenly be having such trouble now.   "You're joking, right?" Yongguk looked at him, a slight frown appearing in his expression before taking another sip and continuing. "We're from two different worlds."   Yongguk was sure, she was the girl of his dreams. Beautiful, witty, talented, intelligent -she was the type of girl her knew he could see himself settling with. She wasn't like other girls, especially like the girls he was with prior to meeting her. But not everything came easy especially in the superficial world they lived in. Yes, her parents wouldn't mind and he was sure she didn't either, but who was he to say how the rest of society would take their involvement with one another. The people from there, they were shallow and vile. Maybe Min didn't mind, but one day, she would come to her senses, realize he wasn't good enough and the one who would end up broken would be him. That wasn't something he could risk. He couldn't risk being any more broken then what he already was now. He couldn't risk falling in love. He hadn't done it in his short twenty-one years of living, surely he wouldn't start now... right?   "And?" Zelo's voice interrupted his impending thoughts. "She doesn't seem to mind,"  he shrugged from where he sat on the floor in front of the TV, controller in hand as he played Call of Duty on his XBOX. From what Yongguk had just finished telling them, it was obvious the girl he was referring to was interested in him as well, so he wasn't sure what it was that was holding him back.   The older one could only sigh as he leaned back against his seat. "You guys don't get it."   "Yongguk, you're the only one hesitating about this," Himchan countered as he leaned forward, looking at his brother with raised brows. "What do you have to lose?"   Myself.   And that's the problem.    - - - - - - - - - -   "You seem like some love-struck puppy," Youngjae began as he looked at Min curiously, his eyes zeroing in on the girl who sat across from him, sipping slowly on her caramel frappuccino.   "Do not," She huffed in reply as she puffed up her cheeks in displeasure, something that automatically made him laugh upon seeing it.   "Yah, stop messing with her," Daehyun was obvious in showing his annoyance at his friend, who noticed right away at Daehyun's jealousy toward the mystery man who had struck a curious chord inside Min. He sighed, and directed his attention back toward Min as he saw Youngjae flashing a smug grin in the corner of his eye. "So how's practice going, anyway?"   "Good. We're getting a lot done," She merely nodded uninterested. But suddenly her eyes brightened, grabbing Daehyun's attention as she straightened. "He's interesting, you know? He has an outlook on life that I find... exciting. I'm curious to learn more about him."   "How did we get back here?" Daehyun breathed in annoyance, dragging out the sentence under his breath, and sounding bored by it.   Youngjae had to stifle a laugh as he watched his friend grow darker with every moment Min gloated about the guy. "So what's he like? Does he live around here?"   "Close enough," She assured before going back to sipping her drink.   Youngjae asked curiously. "Same area?"   She shook her head. "He doesn't live in the Hills."   "So where then?" Daehyun persisted annoying Min in the process.   She put her drink down and looked at him with a raised brow. "Is that important?"   He shook his head and avoided her eyes. "I guess not."   Min didn't like snapping at her friends or keeping them in the dark, but some details who would be unimportant to others, were just too important to them. And even though she didn't care, she didn't want people judging him unfairly. They didn't know Yongguk like her, and they were capable to make an opinion just by knowing where he lived. She knew they meant well, and they were sweet, her friends for a reason. But she also understood that this was the way they brought up. To stick to their own kind and shun the rest. She knew if they took the time, they would like him and he would like them. But to the people living in the valley, wealth and status meant everything.    - - - - - - - - -    "So where are the kids?" Yongguk asked after coming back from one of his usual walks around the neighborhood after getting off of his internship shift at Nox.    "They called me a while ago. Boss has them working late tonight. I've been waiting for them to get back so we can go buy some things for the house. Fridge is almost empty." Himchan replied from the couch where he watched TV.   Yongguk, slid back the sleeve of his favorite forest green military inspired jacket and looked at the time on his wrist-watch. "." It was almost nine, which meant trouble if they stayed out later. They didn't live in a safe neighborhood and they were still young. The sooner they got home, the better. "They shouldn't be out at this time. Boss knows they have school tomorrow. I'm gonna pick them up."   "Wait up," Himchan started as he turned off the TV and began toward his friend. "I'll head out with you."   Yongguk, patted Himchan's back and started as he opened the door for them. "Thanks man."   Himchan smiled. "Sure, no problem, Tramp."   "Cut it out," He breathed while he rolled his eyes, closing the door behind them and locking it as Himchan could be heard cackling as usual. Only he enjoyed annoying Yongguk.   "Sorry, Yongguk I didn't have anyone to cover their shift," The boss of the nearby corner market began as Yongguk and Himchan stood in front of him, waiting for the two brothers to come out from the back room.   Yongguk made it clear upon his arrival how unhappy he was with him keeping them longer than needed. It wasn't a safe area. They were still minors who still went to school. And they still had to maintain their grades in order to keep out of the foster care system and possibly be separated.   Yongguk sighed. "Boss, you know they're still minors and they have to go to school. They work hard enough as it is here for you, so I suggest you either be a little bit more stern with the other employees or higher more people. You know our situation." He knew where the boss was coming from, he had done so much for them, but Yongguk had to be firm. He learned early on in his life that you can never give people an inch. Even if they are the nicest of people. You can never know someone truly. They only had each other to look after and that's the only thing that mattered to him. Himself and his brothers.   The boss nodded in understanding. "It won't happen again." Yongguk was a good kid, the way he always looked after them and he had a point. But one of his already unreliable employees hadn't shown up and knowing the two boys were already working, he asked if they could stay a while longer to cover for the other idiot. But of course, a person could never be too lenient. He should've been more firm and fired that employee earlier on instead of waiting until he ed him over to do so.   Junggup and Zelo walked out of the back room, dressed in their regular clothes with their book bags in and shopping bags in
