Gen Neo really hadn’t meant to fall for her, that one summer.

It was just, she was so charming, so carefree and proud of who she was, that he couldn’t help it. The girl who Henry already liked, was someone he’d fallen for without even realizing.

It was clear that she liked him back, but they were too scared to let their friendship grow past anything else. Gen Neo knew that Henry liked Amber. He knew that it was crossing a line that he couldn’t afford to cross, for both Henry and Amber’s sake.

So he let her go. When that summer passed, he let her go, let her fall in love with someone else.
