This is a story that came to my mind last night. And, thinking about it at night wasn't really the best thing that happened to me. It's a bit dark, you see. ^^ But still, I enjoyed writing it. ^^

Here's a prologue for you, not a long one but still it was nice writing it. ^^

Prologue

"It’s the year 12 now, in my calculations. I’m the only being who thinks, feels and actually lives here. Here, in Sgimao. The life’s empty here. People don’t think nor do they have to. Nothing’s important here.

Sgimians don’t have any names or surnames or ages. They don’t even have a proper life. They are born and they die. What happens isn’t important for them.

Why?

Because they don’t have any emotions.

But I have.

And I gave myself a name too.

Lee Chaerin.

The name of the human who taught me about the Earth, the world over us, and emotions. But she’s dead now, she was long dead before we had met and she was buried so deep that her diary, the thing she had written everything about her life, had fallen to Sgimao. I sometimes wonder if she was an unwanted being,  but that’s not important.

The only thing that’s important is that I have learned everything thanks to that person and her diary. Yes even reading and writing. She was obviously someone very smart since she had written some pages of reading and writing lessons before starting the diary.

Lee Chaerin had a sad life, like me.

Lee Chaerin had sad eyes, like me.

Lee Chaerin had sad feelings, like me.

And, Lee Chaerin was still hopeful despite all that, like me.

So, I’m adopting her name and soon, I will go up to Earth and live the life she had wanted, for both her and myself.

It’s been 12 years since I’ve known Chaerin and I’ve started writing this in case I die before reaching my goal. Since, despite the life here being empty it’s not important. Sgimao would want me dead.

I’m finishing it for today.

But I can’t guarantee that I will be able to write again…"
