“Hey Key you feeling better?” Suzy asked with concern written all over her face

“Yeah fine. Go away”

Suzy scoffed then slammed the door behind her

“That ungrateful little ughhh! I can’t believe I saved him for nothing! And I was being so nice!”

Key let out a long sigh ‘that’s right…got to distance myself from her. Every time she’s around, Almighty Key becomes “you alright key?”

“BOO!”

Suzy squealed with her hands crossed against her chest, she panted then glared at the person in front of her

“muhahah I totally got you!”

“Gongchan oppa! What are you doing here?” Suzy hissed “I’m working!”

“Go on a date with me”

Suzy scoffed “what? Why would I? I just saw you yesterday and I’m too busy anyway. Go find another girl to bug”

“Mother’s order” Gongchan smirked, showing her the text on his phone

“My mom sent that to you!?”

“uh huh. She really likes me and wants us to marry quickly”

“why is she doing this to me!?”

An image of Jina (suzy’s mother) popped into her mind
Jina smirked then began to talk “Suzy honey I’m only worried you will never attract anyone and is never able to get married”

Suzy frowned then swatted away at the air

“what are you doing? Have you already gone crazy?” Gongchan stopped her by catching her hand

She panicked and pulled her hand away from his grasp

“Anyway I’m busy today. Just tell them it was my fault. I have to g-”

Gongchan suddenly let out a gasp before falling to the floor

“Gongchan?!”

“Hurry up and run!!” Key shrieked from the spot Gongchan was standing previously

“What are you saying?!?!”

Key’s fingers wrapped around her hand and they played a game of tug-of-war for a couple seconds before Key overpowered Suzy

“Gongchan oppa!!!”

Suzy felt a bit more relieved after realizing Donghae and Jonghyun had found Gongchan laying on the floor

“GEEZUS ARE YOU CRAZY?!”

Suzy’s nostrils flared “I’M SUPPOSE TO ASK YOU THAT! ARE YOU CRAZY?! How could you injure an innocent person like that?!”

“Innocent?! He was all over you! I cant believe you let him harass you like that!”

“Harass?!” She scoffed in disbelief

“That’s right so now we’re even because I saved you”

“You seriously are crazy! He’s my fiancé!”

“HUH?”

“What if he sues you?! What if someone saw that and it becomes a scandal?! I thought ‘almighty key’ was always clever and never did anything rash. What the heck key!”

“you decided to marry that guy?”

“THAT’S NOT THE MAIN POINT! What if you get into legal trouble! You’ll damage SHINEE’s name! How are you not even worried right now?”

“I’m going back”

Suzy stopped him, Key froze up after her gentle touch against his arm

“I think he doesn’t know who hit him. Go back later tonight. I’ll Jonghyun to tell him that someone knocked into him and he hit his head on the ground and got knocked out. Yeah! That’ll work”

“what? Isn’t he you’re fiancé? Why are you lying to him?”

“He’s only someone who is arranged to marry me. I don’t plan to marry him anyway” suzy grumbled

Key didn’t know why, but a sense of happiness flooded in

“why are you grinning stupidly? Let’s go we can’t just stand here all day”

“OH! I know! There’s somewhere I always wanted to go but couldn’t”

“Fine…where?”

“you wanted to go ice skating?”

“A brat like you wouldn’t understand. Besides I haven’t done this in a long time”

“ew I’m not getting mobbed you better cover your face well”

“why aren’t you putting on the skates?”

“I’m not going to skate, I’ll sit here and watch”

“why? Ice skating is super fun…unless…ahaha! You don’t know how to skate?!”

“SHUT UP K- OPPA! I so can! Let’s go!”

“That’s not even how you put it on” Key kneeled in front of Suzy then began to tug at the shoelace “I’m not taking care of you if you hurt yourself by wearing the shoes wrong. So put them on right, you dummy”

Suzy hesitated as the gap closed between them and the entrance to the ice rink

“Ladies first” Key’s batted his eyelashes innocently

Her teeth rubbed against her pink soft lips, with closed eyes she stepped foot into the rink, within a split second she clung onto the side wall for dear life

“I knew it! Suzy the commanding brat has something she can’t do” Key teased

“SHUT UP!” she roared

“La la la” Key pranced around the rink, he enjoyed two laps around the rink before reuniting with Suzy

“here I’ll teach you. It’ll be a shame if you end up hating on ice skating”

Key held his hands out in front of him

“What are you doing? Hold on unless you want to fall”

Suzy looked suspicious but placed her hand in his either way

“Don’t you dare let me fall or else” she threatened

“I’m doing something nice for you for once so shut up” Key snapped

“you’re such a diva. Did you know that?”

“Shut up and hold onto me”

Suzy eventually found herself wrapping her arms around Key’s waist as he sped up, her ear pressed against his back, where his heart would be

His voice was indifferent and echoed when he talked, making Suzy’s lips curve into a smile every time he spoke

“So what are you going to do with that guy since you’re not marrying him?”

“Why do you care?”

Key shrugged it off, he tightened his grip on Suzy’s hand as he skated backwards, facing Suzy as she skated forward

“Jonghyun oppa said he would pretend to be my boyfriend to break off the engagement. But I don’t think that’s needed”

“Jonghyun said that?”

“Un. I feel thankful but it bothers me, the person I like is the only one who didn’t offer to stop this marriage”

“You like someone?!”

“he’s a gentleman with a good sense of humor, he’s considerate, there’s something we can relate in and everything about him is wonderful”

Key smirked to himself ‘that’s me then’

“The music he composes is so heartwarming”

“c-composes music?!”

“why are you so surprised?”

“n-nothing keep talking”

“You know Key. You’re not so bad after all. Thanks for today”

‘SO SHE DOESN’T LIKE ME?!?!?!’

“Sure no prob” Key answered quickly

“Suzy?”

Key and Suzy were now headed back to SM with Key at the wheel

“AISHH” key honked impatiently, probably another car accident occurred, causing a traffic jam
in the midst of all the chaos Suzy managed to fall asleep

However every few minutes or so, Suzy’s brow would furrow as she held in mumbles

Suzy suddenly shot up as she gasped simultaneously

“OHMYGOD! DON’T DO THAT! MIGHT AS WELL SLAP ME! You scared me!” Key shrieked

Suzy ignored his shouts as she tried to regulate her breathing

A voice echoed in her head, reminding her of past incidents that drove her to this point of absurdity

“oppa let’s go eat dinner together today! We haven’t eaten together in a while”

“I’m busy baby”

“You’re always busy now” a 19 year old Suzy pouted

“You know I love you but I’m really busy. I drop you off and I gotta get back to work”

“I’m here to pick up the take ou-” Suzy rubbed her eyes as if she had just imagined something but it didn’t go away

“mam? Mam! MAM! YOU’RE TAKE OUT!” the waiter yelled out

Suzy gathered the attention of the whole resturaunt, the one gaze she didn’t want to meet, connected with hers

Scared out of her wits, she ran out the door

When she knew it was safe distance she fell to her knees and panted heavily

‘that wasn’t him I know it. That wasn’t her..she’s my best friend they wouldn’t do that to me. It’s all a misunderstanding. Leave it alone’ she told herself

“You’re a stupid B****! You knew that you already lost him to me but you pretended like nothing happened?”

“Suzy I’m sorry but I don’t want to see you anymore”

“Oppa! How could you do this to me?!” she yelled, trying to suppress her anger but that failed, obviously

“You know it’s your own fault!” a finger stabbed into her left shoulder, her tears began to well in her eyes “You’re a clingy and annoying brat! Blame it on yourself that I found someone better”

“YAAHHH! You Jerk!!” She threw wild punches at his chest trying to let out the betrayed feelings she had suppressed for a while “It’s been 3 stupid years wasted on you!”

“Stop hitting me!”

“You’re horrible person!!” Her foot brushed against his shin

Before she could even blink, a hand swung across her right cheek with so much force that she fell to the ground

“You deserved that. I warned you to stop. Everything is your own fault. Get over yourself”

“Honeyy!” A high pitched voice called out sweetly behind him

“Baby I just finished with this B****. Let’s go”

She bit her lip, trying so hard to stop her tears from falling

 She held back silent sobs as a crowd overlooking her dispersed

“I want someone to protect me” Suzy begged while she looked up at the moon through her passenger window

Key didn’t know something about her and he’s going to find out sooner or later whether Suzy wanted to tell him or not
