Rachelle Yang and the rest of her family lives in a subdivision in Taipei. Their family is wealthy. She has a little brother named Chucky who is three years old. They own "C.W." Company which stands for Computer Works! They sell computers and other electronic gadgets and devices. Their father,Eric, has lots of vices like gambling,alcohol and girls. One time, their mother,Sylvia,got into a car accident and died.Rachelle who is only seven years old at that time couldn't understand what's going on but the only thing she understand is,she must help his father with work.A few months after their mother died,their company became bankrupt and their father was diagnosed with diabetes.Everything was taken from them except the little amount of savings they had in the bank.They we're able to afford a small house in Taipei City.It's not as big as their house.It has only one room.Their father loose hope and started to drink and gamble all the time.Their house is always a mess and Rachelle has to work for Chucky because the money from their savings is almost gone.The next day,Rachelle went for a walk with his little brother Chucky."What should I do Chucky?I don't think anyone would give me a job at my age."Rachelle said."Ra-chelle no cry."Chucky said.As they we're walking by,Rachelle bump into someone."Hey!Watch we're your goin'!"a boy said.He was tall and about nine years old."Duibuqi!I-I wasn't looking where I was going."Rachelle said."Hmp!Like I'd forgive you."the boy said while he dragged Chucky."Aaaaaaah!"shouted Chucky."Please let go of my brother.I beg you!"Rachelle pleaded."Put him down!"someone across the street shouted."Oh No!It's that kid!Aaaaa..!!!"the boy said as he let go of Chucky and started to runaway.The boy across the street walked over to Rachelle and Chucky.He looks about the same age as the boy who dragged Chucky."Are you two alright?"the boy asked."Yeah we're fine!Thanks to you!"Rachelle said."I'm Daniel.I live in this house across the street."Daniel said."Hi Daniel!I'm Rachelle.I live beside your house."Rachelle said."We're neighbours then.That's great!"Daniel said."By the way,how come that kid runaway when he saw you?"Rachelle asked."That's because I'm same age as them and actually I don't have any friends.Everyone avoids me but I don't even know why."Daniel said."Just ignore them.How about we became friends?"Rachelle asked."Sure!I like to be your friend."Daniel said."Me too."Chucky said in a small voice."We just moved here a few days ago and I'm not familiar with this place yet. You see we used to live in this big house before but then since mother died,I haven't been in that huge house again and my dad is always sad and lonely."Rachelle said."You must be rich then."Daniel said."What's that?"Rachelle asked."Hmm...it's like having lots of food and you lived in a big house and you get everything you want something like that."Daniel said."Yeah!It's like what I'm talking about but then now we live in a small house."Rachelle said."Do you want me to tour you around here?"Daniel asked."Sure!But I need to get a job because my dad don't work now."Rachelle said."Okay!I'll help you get a job."Daniel said.Rachelle,Daniel and Chucky explored around Taipei City and they talked about lots of things and he helped Rachelle get a job as a vendor of rugs because Daniel also works as a vendor of rugs in a small shop in the city.It was evening when they got back."Thanks for helping me find a job Daniel."Rachelle said."Welcome!That's what friends are for!"Daniel smiled."By the way,where are your parents?"Rachelle asked."They don't care about me.They're just lazy and don't work so I had to work to eat and I don't have any siblings."Daniel said."Sib--what?"Rachelle confused."Siblings.It means like a brother or a sister like Chucky."Daniel said."How about we eat at our place?I'm sure there's some food left in the fridge."Rachelle said."Really?Thanks."Daniel said.The three of them went to Rachelle's house and ate some snacks in the fridge while they we're eating,Chucky fell asleep and Rachelle and Daniel had the time to chat some more."So uh Daniel?Do you still go to school?"Rachelle asked."I don't.How can I?We're so poor already and I can't afford to go there anymore.How about you?"Daniel asked."Hmmm...I don't know but ever since we got here,I wasn't enrolled to a school and dad is always asleep and we don't have much money now."Rachelle said."Sorry to hear that.How about after we finish selling rags,we self-study?"Daniel asked."Self-study?What is that?"Rachelle asked."It's studying by our own like we learn by ourself."Daniel said."Ohh.Okay then."Rachelle agreed.Everyday,after their work,the two always self-study with Chucky.Each day that passed by,they became more close friends and as months passed by them became best friends.Three years passed and they still work and work all day long.One day,Rachelle went home with Chucky.Their dad is still the same.Still doing nothing,still drunk,still asleep and still not caring about them."Dad!Wake up!"Chucky said.Their Dad woke up and looking angry."What's the matter?"Eric said."Please dad,get over mom already.It's been three years and still your sitting there doing nothing."Rachelle shouted."So you callin' me a lazy?Just get out of this house already.I don't need you two.Go away will ya?"Eric said."Please dad,change yourself.I want the dad that we know before.The one that's always busy with work."Rachelle said."Work?I don't work.Are you still fooling yourself?I'm not working.I was gambling all the time,drinking alcohol and playing with y girls.It's not work."Eric said.Rachelle was shocked while Chucky has no idea what's going on."So that's why mom got into that accident because she was following you with your girlfriend.She told me that night that she's following you."Rachelle said as tears run down her face."So what's wrong with that?"Eric said in a lame tone."You killed her!It was your fault.Chucky come with me!"Rachelle said as she slammed the door."We're not ever gonna come back."Rachelle went to Daniel's house and explained Daniel what happened.His parents heard about what they we're talking about."Well we're just like Rachelle's dad."Gwen,Daniel's mom said."Mom don't in."Daniel said."Your callin' us mom and dad.You still don't get it,do ya?We're not treatin' you like a son and we don't even care even 1% because your not our real child.You we're only left in front of our house twelve years ago.Get out already and don't ever in in this household"Ace,Daniel's dad said.Daniel was in shocked and pulled Rachelle's hand and left their house.Daniel ran as fast as he could while Rachelle and Chucky are catching up with him until finally, Daniel stopped running.It started to rain heavily.They we're far away enough from home."Why?They should have told me earlier."Daniel cried."Why does nobody cares about us?It's like we're animals that has been abandoned.It hurts so much."Rachelle said while Chucky is just staring at them."I have dreams Rachelle!But those dreams are ruined because of them.They never treated me like a son because in the first place,I'm not their son.They just used me to work and work."Daniel said."Your still lucky though because at least now,you know that their not your real parents unlike Chucky and me.Our own blood and flesh hates us.Not caring about us and uses us to work and work all these years.They'll pay one day.One day,I'll be rich again in my own way."Rachelle promised."Maybe this is our destiny.And now my destiny is to find my real parents.I'm gonna find them no matter what.I'll make them pay for abandoning me."Daniel said as they head somewhere far away.They fell asleep while crying.Meanwhile,Chucky didn't sleep and saw fireflies and he wanted to catch them and so he followed the fireflies until he got lost.The next day,Rachelle and Daniel we're looking for Chucky but he was nowhere to be seen.They didn't worry because they thought Chucky must have gone home."That's it Daniel!I'm running away.I'm gonna be rich and that's what I promised and then I'll get my revenge on dad."Rachelle said."I'm running with you Rachelle.I'll find my real parents and get my revenge on them."Daniel said as they walk to nowhere.
