Nervous Surprise
Without His Voice
Leeteuk took a deep breath before he touched the handle to the door. Super Junior were behind it, unknowing that their leader had returned from the hospital - Leeteuk wanted it to be a surprise.
However, though he could hear the laughter through the door, he could only stare at the handle. He dared not touch it, for he feared it'd swing open and he'd face them.
He loved all twelve members dearly (most definitely!) but he couldn't help but believe they'd hold his absence against him. He'd put them on hold during the time that they needed him the most, and it weighed on his conscience considerably. He was paranoid that they wouldn't accept him back and he couldn't help but beat himself up inside for leaving what was most important to him, even if it was only temporary.
He'd easily admit: Donghae was right.
He was wrong and he knows that now. But would they still consider him a good leader? After all they'd been through, he couldn't lose that title. He couldn't lose the support of his friends.
He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, deciding to just knock and get it over with. He wouldn't know until he tried, right?
He sighed, feeling himself giving in. He hesitated just a little but raised his fist, prepared to rap on the door with his knuckles.
But the door swung open before he could.
There stood one Heechul, his fringe in two pony-tails atop his head, pink pyjamas and a baffled expression slapped onto his face. It was almost comical - Leeteuk would've laughed if there weren't eleven dramatic yells of "HYUNG!" that could've woken the dead.
Before he could fully grasp Heechul's peculiar appearance, he was wrestled by a bunch of emotional boys that were absolutely thrilled to see their leader, all trying to hug him at once.
Leeteuk laughed as Kangin went haywire, "TEUKKIE-HYUNG IS HERE! HE'S HERE! Kibum, look! Look!" The strong vocalist almost had tears in his eyes; due to his busy schedule, he hadn't been permitted to visit the hospital at all since the crash. However, his close bond with the leader had remained strong and it was evident.
"Hyung, I missed you!" he yelled and managed to tug the leader out of the arms of the other members, pulling him into a bone-crushing bear hug. He pulled away, shaking the elder by his shoulders, "Hyung, why didn't you tell us you'd be back!?"
Leeteuk smiled sheepishly, "Surprise?"
Heechul was still stood there in his strange attire, a grin on his face as he cheered about the fact that he now didn't have to go and get a pizza because he lost a bet - he didn't want to go out in the cold, especially dressed like that.
He dived on the leader, grateful for the fact that now he had a reason to stay indoors - he could say he missed the leader and just couldn't bear to be parted from him again! Well, of course, it was true, The act would just be easier to pull off. Two birds, one stone.
Donghae watched as Leeteuk tried to shake Heechul off, finding the scene hilarious. He decided that once everyone had calmed down a little, he would quietly take the leader to the side and ask him a couple of questions - there was no way that Leeteuk had just suddenly decided to listen to him.
What exactly was going on in the leader's head?
