Distractions, Distractions
Idiots in loveSunggyu was putting more force than necessary into repairing the engine in front of him, he was sure if he kept putting the unnecessary power into his movements he’d end up breaking it and making it worse but shorts. ing shorts. Who in their right mind wears shorts to a dirty garage where the of an owner doesn’t even offer you a chair? Obviously Myungsoo wasn’t in his right mind because his beige shorts where layered in grime and grease.
Of course Sunggyu was looking at the dirty streaks on the fabric, there was no way he was admiring his , nope, not even possible. Sunggyu just took cleanliness seriously, he ignores the dirt stains on his own clothes to try and believe his own delusions so he can maybe stare at Myungsoo a little more. He’s come across a lot of good looking guys before, all attractive in their own way but damn he has never seen an like that. He hates to pull a Sungyeol and drool over a random person’s body parts but damn.
The even was this kid, he wouldn’t mind taking his ity one bit (because hey he was definitely a and anyone thinking otherwise was kidding themselves) and as an added bonus maybe he’d be able to mess around with Hoya. I mean there’s no revenge like ‘ha ha I ed your kid brother’ of course the guy might kill him but Sungyeol would back him up, he knows that for sure. It doesn’t matter how much he’s changed he will always have his back because even now when Sungyeol is on a level that Sunggyu can’t even see from where he is, Sungyeol is there for him.
He wipes the sweat of his forehead with the back of his arm and drops his tools already tired, he doesn’t do much work so it’s no wonder his garage is barely running but honestly he doesn’t even want to run it sometimes. He glances backwards to see Myungsoo fanning himself with a book and appreciates the beads of sweat sliding across his forehead, after mentally arguing with himself he decided to grab another beer from the fridge, after all you catch more bees with honey.
“So how’s it going?” Sunggyu drops beside him, an appropriate distance so he doesn’t feel tempted to touch him, and places a beer in front of him “Drink up, it’s hotter than hell in here today, ” the heat is making him kind of lethargic and there’s something about the slow smile stretching across Myungsoo’s face that makes him dizzy. He fiddles with the bottle and it’s clear he has no idea how to open it so Sunggyu reaches out to help but his fingers connect with the warm softness of his hand and he just freezes.
It’s not a spark or a sudden jolt but there’s a strange warmth that crawls up his entire body at the sensation of his warm flesh against his fingers, his heartbeat slows to a crawl and his body relaxes, almost melts into the sensation. He lets his fingers graze against the soft skin as he draws back and pulls the bottle away. Myungsoo is red in the face and he’s pretty sure it’s got nothing to do with the temperature, he fumbles with his fingers as Sunggyu opens the bottle and slides it back to him.
Myungsoo doesn’t usually drink beer but he attaches himself to the bottle because if he’s drinking then he doesn’t have to converse, not that he wants to avoid talking to Sunggyu, on the contrary there’s a lot of things he wants to know but he doesn’t know how to converse. What is he meant to say, are there things he shouldn’t say? He’s confused so he opts to focus on the cool bottle in his hands, and this would be the reason he doesn’t have many friends.
He’s always been kind of quiet, shy. Not that he doesn’t want to make friends he just doesn’t know how, he doesn’t understand how people go about doing that, he bets him and Hoya got it from their father because they sure aren’t like their mother. It frustrated him at times, he hated being that way and hated how confused he would get but he’s come to terms with it, he can’t control it so why be frustrated? This was just who he was and the friends he had where more than enough, although he does wish we has a little less awkward right now.
There’s a hazy buzz settled across the garage and he distracts himself by uselessly trying to wipe some of the stains from his shorts, Sungyeol had convinced him they were the only appropriate choice of clothing in this weather, really he just liked to dress people though, and now they were covered in dirt. He doesn’t even realise Sunggyu is moving till he hears a thump as something falls to the floor, he’s used to the little bumps and thumps that echo around the garage by now, he likes how clumsy Sunggyu can be though, it makes him a little more approachable if he can’t hold a wrench properly.
