Puzzle piece
Idiots in loveMyungsoo is leaning against a column outside a classroom waiting for his friend Sungjong, he hums along to the music blasting in his ears while tapping his fingers on his sides as his mind wanders off to places. He’s brought out of his daydream by a punch to the shoulder which is none too gentle but all too familiar.
“Ow Sungjong that hurt!” he pouts as his friends who grins and slings an arm around him leading them through the hallway
“You’re such a wimp, just like your brother haha”
“Hey, don’t be mean to my hyung!” Myungsoo was quick to come to his older brothers defence “he’s an impressive security guard you know, not a wimp at all” he sticks his tongue out at his friend
“Yeah explains why I was able to break his nose so easy” Sungjong laughs away his friend’s defence, he loves teasing Myungsoo especially about Hoya because it’s just too cute, he finds himself wondering why Myungsoo is still single and makes a mental note to find him a nice girl
“I’m hungry! Let’s get food~” Myungsoo pulls him along laughing the whole way as they half run half dance through the streets to their location.
After a tiring 3 hours in classes (Myungsoo is a student and all students are notoriously lazy so these three hours felt more like a lifetime even if they were broken up in the middle by a long leisurely lunch) Myungsoo finally made it to the front door of his home trudging in tiredly and kicking his shoes off
“I’m home” he called out to anyone who was listening, not likely to be his mother who was probably at a friend’s house around this time of the afternoon, he threw his bag in the closet in the hallway and dragged himself into the lounge where he was greeted by his older brother
“Hey myungie, good day?” Hoya smiles at his brother who plops down on the couch beside him and lays his head in his lap
“Mm it was ok, no work today?” his brother’s usually not home at this time, he really loves his job
“Nope I have a few days off” he smiles while playing with his hair, Myungsoo tilts his head to stare at the doorway to the kitchen figuring his brother’s boyfriend is there because if he wasn’t then there was no way his brother would be spending a day off just sitting at home on the couch
“Yeol hyung? Are you in the kitchen?” Hoya chuckles but Myungsoo ignores it instead smiling at Sungyeol who emerges from the kitchen wiping his hands on the apron
“Hey myungie, back so soon? Oh how I envy the young and carefree” Sungyeol’s a fan of dramatic flairs and Myungsoo can’t help but giggle at his over the top hand motions which look even more ridiculous when teamed with the heart adorned apron he’s wearing
“What are you doing in there?” Hoya cranes his neck, whining slightly which makes the other two chuckle as Hoya does not like being ignored, Sungyeol pokes his forehead before sitting on the armchair by the couch
“Told you, it’s a secret!” he grins which worries Hoya slightly because he doesn’t know what prank Sungyeol is about to pull next.
“Baby you know everyone’s coming over for dinner tonight right?” Hoya’s trying to wheedle out the information from him, the last thing he needs is another incident that sends Dongwoo screaming around the room while Woohyun and Myungsoo laugh themselves off the chairs, who the heck puts a candy eyeball in the middle of japchae anyway?
Hoya sometimes wonders about his boyfriend’s sanity but when he smiles at him all innocence and glee he finds he cannot bring it in himself to scold him for his outrageous ways. Sungyeol loves putting Hoya on edge, he finds it adorable how much a grown man can worry over something as trivial as a little joke, he actually has nothing major planned for dinner but he loves that Hoya will constantly pester him and butter him up to try and find out so he goes along with the misconception.
“Of course! Dongwoo’s coming too right?” Sungyeol flashes a devious smirk at his boyfriend before pecking him on the cheek and moving back to the kitchen, he turns back to address Myungsoo
“Oh I almost forgot, I got you a little something, it’s up in your room” he winks at the boy and then leaves. Hoya groans and buries his face in Myungsoo’s hair inherently worried about what his boyfriend is up to now, Myungsoo pats his cheek comfortingly and gets up to leave while kind of failing to hold in his laughter
“It’s not so bad hyung, the love of your life is just interesting, you should be happy” he offers cheerfully before climbing the stairs to his room, it’s true what he said Sungyeol is interesting and cool and crazy and his brother needs all of that, Sungyeol makes his brother’s life a lot more interesting and for all his worry Myungsoo can see how much Hoya really likes it.
When he had first told Myungsoo and their mother that he had someone to introduce them to Myungsoo was more than a little apprehensive, his brother wasn’t the best at relationships in fact Sungjong had been the only bearable boyfriend he’d had and even that was bizarre considering Myungsoo remembers his brother babysitting the both of them (he loves his brother but talk about robbing the cradle).
So when he met Sungyeol he was more than a little surprised, Sungyeol was hilarious, good looking, artistic and nice. He had immediately latched onto Myungsoo and promptly begun to spoil him as if he were his own brother, in some ways they were closer to each other than they were to Hoya.
Back downstairs Hoya had moved into the kitchen and was pestering Sungyeol who was ducking away from his constant case of grabby hands to cook, he was beginning to get a little ticked off actually and when Hoya managed to latch onto him for the umpteenth time he had enough
“Hoya, seriously! I’m trying to cook in case you hadn’t noticed” he pushes at Hoya’s arms which only tighten more around him
“Oh I noticed” Hoya grins and kisses a soft trail down his neck grazing his teeth against the soft skin, Sungyeol’s not having any of it though and he manoeuvres his body so he can put both his hands on Hoya’s face and shove him
