Turn the tables
Idiots in loveThe stench of motor oil wafts through the air and reaches Myungsoo’s nose leading him forward eagerly, he pushes past Sungjong and looks up to top of the building to see a shoddy sign that says ‘Garage’. Simple and to the point, rough around the edges but charming in its own way, kind of like the owner Myungsoo muses with a smile. But he’s snapped out of it as a catcall and whooping fill the air and he looks down to see a bunch of men kicking beer bottles around and playing cards.
“Hey, hey beautiful” a burly man in a dirty shirt shouts across the cigarette jammed between his yellowing teeth “what brings a pretty little prep boy like you out here, looking for a good time?” he winks lecherously and Myungsoo backs up a step out of fear, he’s starting to wish Hoya had won the argument and was here with him he could really use his big brother right now.
“How about you shut the up before I shove that cigarette where the sun doesn’t shine” Sungjong links his arm with his possessively and sneers at the man “Come at me , I ain’t afraid” he’s about to lunge forward but Myungsoo manages to barely hold him back with the help of Daeryong. For such a thin person Sungjong was stronger than three of Myungsoo.
“What’s going on out here?” a voice resonates from the back sending a tingle down Myungsoo’s spine and he realises it’s Sunggyu walking out to the front where the man is now standing enraged, he keeps his distance from the man though opting to stand on the far side and watching like he’s merely a spectator
“You know these es?” the man snarls and motions to them with a thumb, Myungsoo hears Sungjong growl in the back of his throat and he’s suddenly very afraid that Sungjong is going to hurt him, he’s seen what his friend is capable of first hand and the thought sends dread through him. Luckily though Daeryong is also holding him back which he’s infinitely thankful for. Sunggyu rubs a hand over his face and grunts irritably, Myungsoo thinks he looks a lot more tired than last time.
“Yeah I do and if you want to keep hanging around here you won’t bother them, now get lost” he snarls at the man clearly done with him, the man just spits his cigarette out onto the ground and stalks away, his companions following suit but not till they make a mess of where they were sitting. Sunggyu rakes his gaze over Myungsoo who unconsciously tugs at his shirt and averts his eyes as Sunggyu’s dark eyes bore into him.
“You hang out with a bunch of -es you know that right?” Sungjong scoffs and Myungsoo’s hand hits out to shut him up “What? I’m right, how ing dare they talk like that...”
“You’re not much better yourself kid” he comments and kicks the garbage left behind out into the street carelessly “Besides, I don’t hang out with them, not that it’s any of your business. Looks like your already causing me trouble” he quirks an eyebrow at Myungsoo who fumbles over his words for an answer. He should apologise but Sungjong was only looking out for him even if his way of looking out was a little...rough, he still meant well. But then again this was his first time properly meeting Sunggyu so it would be better to be polite right?
“ you ” Sungjong intervenes while Myungsoo grasps at floating words that are out of his reach “Don’t act like this was Myungsoo’s fault, if you weren’t such a ing maybe there wouldn’t be any trouble” Sungjong’s struggling against Daeryong’s grip trying to lash out at Sunggyu who’s eye darken considerably, Myungsoo jumps in front of Sungjong waving his hands for them to stop
“No it was my fault, I’m sorry I should have paid more attention! He hears Sungjong about to rant again so he turns around and grabs his shoulders “Sunggyu is doing me a huge favour and he’s Yeol hyung’s friend too so please Sungjong, let it go?” he pleads with the biggest puppy dog eyes he can muster which he knows don’t actually work on his friend but Sungjong is always nice enough to pretend they do.
Sungjong narrows his eyes in suspicion and motions to Sunggyu that he’s watching him before Daeryong manages to drag him away. Sungjong keeps looking back at Myungsoo concernedly but he waves to assure him it’s all ok and watches slightly amused as Daeryong tugs his arm forward, Sungjong would never let someone drag him around like that so maybe he should get some more details about this Daeryong cos it seems serious if that’s any indicator.
“Um I’m sorry he’s just a little...” he starts off but Sunggyu waves him away and goes back into the garage, Myungsoo keeps standing where he is not quite knowing what to do. Now that they’re alone his nerves are jumping around and his thoughts are arguing with each other on the best course of action.
“Coming?” Sunggyu is watching his amused, a smirk creeping up to his lips as Myungsoo is flust
