It sat there, this box. I knew what it was though. I knew who it belonged to. I knew what was in it. But I can never tell. I can never tell anyone that I know of the box, never say that I know what's in it, never even say the words 'You know that box? Well...'. Never.

 

He'll be angry with me. He'll get upset and violent. If he knows that I know, he'll make sure that I won't be able to remember knowing after he's finished with me.

 

I can't talk of this box. Simply because I want to live and I don't want to fully comprehend what he's done. Even though I am part of it, and I know it too well. I don't want him to know that I know what he's done. Otherwise he'll turn on me again.

 

It's unhealthy, sickening, disgusting what he's done, but he carries on, and does it over and over again. And the box holds his tools, his evidence, his victims.

 

I can't tell Jae that I know about his box. Jae's box.

 

So I'll continue to lie here, and stretched out, hands and feet chained to bed where he left me, a collar and leash round my neck like a dog waiting for its master. Because I am. I'm not free, not anymore. I belong to him now, for him to do what he pleases. And Jae does do anything and everything he pleases to me.

 

I'm sure I'm in that box somewhere.
