Not once did Minho criticize me. Last year, people bullied me because of other's recognition that I look somewhat feminine. Minho seems to be a loyal "friend", but I just don't want to go down that path again and again.

The first day of school is such a waste. Throughout the whole day, the teachers go over rules and give out the textbooks. Nothing new.

The lunch bell rang. My favourite period is calling for me~

Minho sat by me at my usually lonely lunch table. The kid hasn't gotten bored of me yet. I peek a glance at him, just to see if he has a new mood. Nope. He is still pretty optimistic. Minho, how can you stay so happy? All you've done today is be kind to me. How is it possible that you haven't started to become just a bit annoyed with me? I checked his eyes. Without a doubt, nonetheless. . . jolly. I'm starting to think he may have mental problems.

"Minho." My voice came out shaky. Crap.

"Yes?"

"Are you always this merry?" I don't want him to get the wrong idea. I'm happy, if he's happy.

He didn't answer. This topic must be a secret of his.

"Minho...?"

Still no answer. If I knew the question would affect him this much, I would've kept my mouth shut. Never have I seen Minho not smile, even though I met him just today. I should know better than to judge a book by its cover. Why am I so gullible. . . . .

Minho's situation cannot be avoided. I poked him. To my surprise, he came back to reality.

"Taemin, how long was I out?"

"Ten minutes."

"That long?! I need to eat. . ."

"Same here. You worried me, you know."

"I'm sorry. I'll try not to space out again."

"Minho, what secret are you keeping from me?"

"You're too smart for me, Taemin. How'd you figure it out?"

"First of all, I've never met anyone who could keep a smile for so long."

He chuckled at that.

"Second of all, you failed to give your answer to my previous question and went into your own little world."

His chuckling came to a halt.

"I have secrets as well, Minho. I wouldn't mind telling you them, if you tell me yours."
