“Hey, what's up with you all of a sudden?” I heard Tao's voice from the side.

“I honestly don't know... It's like something's missing all of a sudden” I answered, heaving a sigh and poking at my chicken.

“Dude, you haven't been talking since the morning and even your eyeliner's smudged. Just look” Kris added, hooking onto Tao's arm. Yucks. Love birds.

“Maybe it's that Chanyeol guy” Chan... Yeol? To think about it, he hasn't come by my house this morning, and it was a first in 4 years. Also, my locker didn't have his special green notes since yesterday........

“Actually, he hasn't-”

“Oh!! Is that him?” Tao pointed at a familiar face. “He's walking this way!!! See? Nothing's wrong. Maybe he was just late?” No, that wasn't it. Replacing his trademark grin was a frown, one that I have never seen before.

“Just ignore him like you always do” I nodded at Kris and braced myself for impact. 3, 2,.......... 1? Shocked, I turned around, only to find out that instead of clinging onto me like a koala, he walked away. He. Walked. Away.

“Wow. What just happened...?”

"That's a first. I've never seen him this mad before. Any ideas?"

“I honestly don't know” And why should I even care?

But a feeling of emptiness wallowed inside Baekhyun's chest the whole day
