Backstage CoupleIt was supposed to be a warm sunny day, greeted by a perfectly warm morning and the chirping sounds of the bird. Yet an opposite of her wishes, her perfect morning was greeted by the cold rain. It has slowed down though, it has become those drizzle. Still, the wind was cold, the temperature continued to drop without mercy. Jieun could hear the sounds of the drizzles falling on the rooftop, or hitting her window.
She was still tired. It was eight o’clock in the morning, two hours later than usual. She should have woken up two hours ago, yet the week has been tiring. She was late, yet things can wait. She rolled on her bed, trying to snuggle closer to her blanket, seeking for warmth. It has been a stressful week, lots to take care of, and then a week without any calls or visits. Kim Myungsoo has been busy and she was even busier, texts were the only things that connect them late at night.
Regarding their relationship, she had a lot to say, yet more to hide. It is true, to how it has become less burdensome to how it was a week ago. She learnt how to trust him, just like the old days. He, too, learnt to guide a long-distanced relationship. But she would be lying to say everything was okay and perfect. At times, the distanced remains at the furthest.
She stretched her body, trying to ease the pain and also her tiredness. A cup of warm coffee would be a perfect drink to spend the cold morning. She slipped her petite figure inside her white-colored sweater and proceeded downstairs. Her maids and butlers are a bunch of people to be praised; they’re kind enough to prepare her a cup of warm macchiato early in the morning. She smiled in delight, as her cold fingertips come in contact with the warm cup.
She mouthed a thank you, as she took a sip of the delightful caramel macchiato. She sighs loudly, as if she was relieving some of her burden. She rested her chin against the wooden table, signaling how long and tiring the day would be. The maids and butlers stared at her, she must have been tired. Her legs were wobbling, yet strong enough to hold her up. She proceeded back to her room, opening her purple luggage and some empty boxes. Time to pack.

Jieun has stopped coming to the INFINITE dorm a week ago. It was understandable though, she must have been busy and working hard. She has been through a lot for the past few weeks – she has become a hot item. People talked a lot about her, especially those who developed a thing about fashion. It must have been tough and Myungsoo felt slightly guilty about it. Although he did not have enough time to make phone calls or to take her out for dates, he never forgets to text her later at night.
Life has gone tougher without her. He missed her a lot, despite the fact that their relationship was somehow still burdensome – he couldn’t help but to miss her even more. He missed it – her cookings – the last time she came to visit, she brought some kimchi stew with her, his favorite. It tasted very good and fresh, at times he could even taste it on his own tongue and suddenly longs for her. He has been visiting the kimchi restaurant next door, ordering kimchi stew as a three-course-meal for over a week. People may think he’s mentally ill, even the owner got slightly annoyed at him.
He missed it, her scent. He missed it, her smile. He missed lots of things and he knew it is going to get worse. This past few weeks has been tiring and somehow complex to both of them, and somehow the INFINITE has grown ignorant toward their relationship. They grew, as selfish individual who rarely looked out for each other. It may have been because of their own busy schedules, they couldn’t help but to grow apart from each other.
“Where are you going early in the morning? It’s our break today. Let’s just sleep and rest, lazing around… or have some bonding time.” Sungyeol suggested eyes half-opened.
“Jieun is moving out today, to her dorm somewhere in… Seoul. I forgot where it was, but it was far away.” Myungsoo replied, tidying himself up.
“Jieunnie is moving?! No one told me about it!” Sungyeol shot up, but then collapse, back to his deep slumber.
Myungsoo shook his head. The morning was drizzling, leaving Jieun alone would be cruel, and he would love to meet her. He could be some helps too. He slips off to his black-colored sweater and off to see Jieun. It was the day when they were given breaks, it was ten at the morning yet no one has woken up yet. He quickly hopped to his rented-car, ready to meet his lovely girlfriend.

“How is she?” Myungsoo was delighted to see her again.
“She has been working hard. She’s upstairs, packing her stuff. She’s been acting weird all morning, I’m slightly worried.” Mrs. Kwon replied.
“Weird?”
“You know... She didn’t touch her newspaper, her fashion magazine. She didn’t turn on the TV and missed her favorite news and fashion-corner. She keeps stressing out about what to carry with her. I hope you can ease her, young master.” Mrs. Kwon sincerely smiled.
“Young master? Jieun is going to get angry if she knows.” Myungsoo chuckled.
“Please take care of our little princess then,” The woman smiled, delighted to find Myungsoo coming to visit.
“With honor.”

She seems so stressed, opening her empty purple luggage, while filling the empty boxes with some of her stuff. She keeps spacing out at times, her thoughts seems to be somewhere far-far away, out of his reach. Sometimes, she would blow her bangs out of frustration and pouted. He found her cute, something she rarely done. She was going through some stuff, as Myungsoo joyfully watched her from the door. She didn’t notice him at all.
Three knocks on the door was enough to make her jumps in surprised. “Miss me?” Myungsoo smirks, acting all high and cool.
“Oh, Myungie. You scare me.” She couldn’t help but to crack a smile. It was sweet of him, to come and visit her, especially at times like this.
He approached her with his slow steps and stand next to her, ruffling her hair and lightly pinching her cheek. She pouted and slapped his hands away, in a playful way, then pouted at him for hurting her cheek. She sighs again and Myungsoo knew she has grown worried about her new life, later in the dorm.
“Hey, what are you thinking about? You seem… off.”
“Myungsoo, is it lonely out there? I mean… life at the dorm. I’m slightly worried.”
“Honestly, I don’t really know. I’m moving in together with the INFINITE, so it’s fun. But you’re on your own. You just need to make some friends. You’ll me lots of sunbae, some can be rather ignorant and scary while the rest of them are very friendly. Be polite to them. You are a lovely person, you’ll be okay.”
“I’m not good at making friends you know.”
“You’re lovely, people are going to like you.”
“Cheesy.”
“It’s a fact.”
“Yeah right.”
“Mrs. Kwon said you’ve been acting weird all morning. Is it the rain? You didn’t touch your newspaper and magazine, you miss out your favorite TV shows. Is everything okay?”
“I just don’t feel like it. It will only make me feel bad. The headlines… Young Designer Lee Ji Eun Announces Hiatus. They wrote about how regretful and disappointed they are… and how I should’ve stick with fashion. They’re probably right though, but oh well.”
“Don’t think too much, would you?” He kissed her forehead, which caused her to turn pink out of the blue.
“O-okay then.”
“Our cute Jieunnie is shy,” He cracks a smile, “should I help you out?”
Dear Readers,
Hello, it truly has been a while. I haven't updated for more than a month, have I? I'm sorry I have been keeping you waiting for a long time. To be honest, I lost my ideas and will to write about this story. I often got uninspired and lost tracks for my own plot. Therefore, I've decided to read through this one more and also the pre-sequel. I have been busy lately and as I mentioned before, I've been having quite some writer block. I'm free nowadays, after all the exams and homeworks, I could updated more often. I reliaze this story has been boring, or it seems I feel that way. For the last 20 chapters, all I've done was how they got back together, how their relationship is, and nothing more. It has been circling around one point for too much. This chapter is a filler, I'd like to quicken the flow of the plots. This chapter is not only a filler but also a transition chapter, and hopefully this isn't as bad as I predicted it to be.
The second thing I'd like to talk about is L scandal. I hate to bring up scandals, but it seems lots of author are shutting down since the scandal sufaces online. Firstly, I'd like to state my own opinion regarding the scandal. Truthfully, I was shocked and unimpressed regarding it, I was disappointed about it. However, I do not think it was wrong of them to date. I don't think it is wrong at all, since they're human but they should have been more careful. I do not agree to how they are both receiving hates. When I first heard about it, I was waiting for clarrification whether it is true they are dating or not. If they've been dating, I'd stop writing all of my MyungU story since I considered it as inappropriate. I mean, imagine yourself having a boyfriend yet you got bunch of people supporting your boyfriend to date another woman, it will hurt. But then, it was clarrified that they are not dating. Then it came, they were indeed dating but they has broken up. I was slightly unmotivated to write. However, since they are both no longer dating, I think it is fine to write about MyungU. I do not know other author reasons for shutting down, but this is what I think regarding the matter. I'd like to make it clear that I will continue this story, although it may takes a while.
