“I’ll repeat it again, Lee Sungmin, I love you not as a friend but as a man.” Saying this, Siwon kissed the back of the hand of Sungmin’s he was holding and nervously smiled.

Sungmin’s hand that was in Siwon’s right hand went limp out of shock; making the cellphone fall on the floor with a soft thud. Kyuhyun didn’t mind the fall of his cellphone though. Sungmin could destroy as many as he willed and Kyuhyun wouldn’t mind it one bit.

But yeah, he was also unconsciously fixated on his own spot upon Siwon’s bold confession.

“Si-Siwon-ah, what a-are you t-talking about?” the shortest of the three uneasily asked. The tallest got off from his right knee while still holding Sungmin’s hand and approached Sungmin’s face. He bent so that his face could level Sungmin’s and gently kissed the latter’s forehead.

Yes, Kyuhyun badly wanted to punch the culprit when that happened.

Softly removing his lips away from the forehead of the dumbfounded boy, Siwon smiled nervously yet again, “This kiss wasn’t a friendly one, Sungmin-ah. I, Choi Siwon, am in love with you as a man. I look at you romantically. And I want to court you.”

Sungmin didn’t know what to say. How could he? He was already in dilemma about his own feelings for his preceptor and now his own friend added some more to his predicament. But maybe, this is why Nari was born.

“Oh my! This is a real drama!”

Yes. She squealed from the doorway of Sungmin’s hospital room.

“This scene is anything but not a scene from a hit Korean drama! I can guarantee that if this were to be included in a drama, the drama would have high ratings!” and her fangirling continued…

The three guys were confused if they should be serious about the current situation or freak out about the fangirl standing in the doorway.

Nari literally skipped her way inside near the three males and happily stood there while eyeing Sungmin’s hand still in Siwon’s. She once again dreamily clasped her hands —I think it had become her habit now— and looked at the three with her wide and blinding smile. “I must say, this is worth the entire wait.” She sighed, “Though my vote is with our handsome Kyuhyun-ah, I don’t mind another handsome man trying to woo our beautiful Sungminnie.” She hovered over Sungmin a little and took his right hand, carefully placing it on Kyuhyun’s right hand that she had brought forward as well. Moving a little away from the bed, she alternated her gaze from the hand in Siwon’s to the hand in Kyuhyun’s and smiled more. “This is going to be so entertaining! I’m getting a free drama to watch!”

She finally realized their uncomfortable and confused looks. “Oh, don’t mind me, really. I’m just living the dream of every fangirl so I am having some trouble controlling my fangirling a little. Other than that, all is well.”

As if on cue, Heechul appeared as well —though he had no idea what had been going on— and Siwon slightly fidgeted in his position and met his eyes with the former.

“Hyung, I have confessed and I’m going to confess about my wrong doings too.” Siwon spoke and Heechul just gave him a soft smile in return. Siwon then looked back at the patient on the bed and gently tightened his hold on Sungmin’s hand. “Sungmin-ah, my birthday was on the seventh of April, about three months back.” Sungmin’s eyes widened even further.

“Wasn’t it last month? The day you took me out to the zoo and amusement park?” the shortest deadpanned as a frown laced his forehead.

“No. I had lied. And….” The tallest closed his eyes and took another deep breath and opened the two eyelids again before continuing, “I had never been sick or had a headache recently. It was a chance I took and a lie I told to get you to come to my house so that I could carry out my plan.”

“What plan are you talking about?” Kyuhyun was holding himself back from punching the tall male hence when he asked that question, his voice definitely portrayed anger whilst clenching his jaw and teeth in the process.

He had also been squeezing Sungmin’s right hand subconsciously.

“There was supposed to be an attack, a fake one at that. But the goons were never those that attacked Sungmin and Donghae. The fake goons gave the plan up a day before the real attack occurred. It was done so that Siwon could play hero and save Sungmin and hence try to make Sungmin fall in love with him.” Heechul interrupted Siwon before Siwon could explain. “And, I was the mastermind.” He added.

However, Kyuhyun had had enough of holding back. His clenched fists were brought into use the moment Heechul was halfway through the explanation because the latter had been looking at Sungmin the whole time while talking. He had effectively freed Sungmin’s hand in reflex before making use of his fists.

Sungmin was stunned at the whole confession and didn’t even register Kyuhyun furiously punching Siwon while Nari and Heechul were trying to get rid of the pharmacist’s steel-like fist off from the medical intern’s handsome face. Siwon, on the other hand was accepting the punches being thrown at him without even thinking about defending himself. He believed that he deserved those punches but those punches should have come from Sungmin, that’s what he was sad about. By the end of successfully separating Kyuhyun’s fists from Siwon’s face, Siwon was sporting two cuts on his lips while his nose was bleeding. His left cheek also had a few red tints which were sure to turn blue or purple after sometime.

Nari took a serious breath after separating the two males. “So, my babies getting hurt wasn’t supposed to happen but they still got hurt because you wanted to play hero to my Sungminnie?” Sungmin could swear he had never seen the older lady this serious before. “Forget all about my fangirl feels. I’m really disappointed by you two.” She looked at Siwon and Heechul alternatively.

Heechul braced himself to speak because no matter what feelings he had for Siwon, he didn’t want him to have a failed love-life as Heechul himself. “Not to be rude but, don’t you think Siwon is not the one at fault here entirely? I was the one who had been the mastermind of all the lies he’s ever told to Sungmin and the reason he agreed was only so that he could get a chance with his first love.” Heechul diverted his gaze to Sungmin as he ended his words.

“The reason why I have come out honest about my wrong doings and confessed about them along with my love confession is that I want to start clean. I want to court Sungmin with honesty and no deception whatsoever.” Siwon was quick to add. “Sungmin-ah, I hope you can give me a fair chance to court you. Please.”

Kyuhyun was fuming with anger and he almost strode to Siwon to punch his face again and throw him out of the room, when Sungmin finally parted his lips and the words that followed those lips efficiently solidified the senior pharmacist on his spot.

“When did you fall for me?” and Sungmin’s voice meant that he was damn serious about the situation as well.

“I don’t know. Maybe, before your umma passed away.”

“And when did you fall in love with me?” Sungmin looked at Kyuhyun beside Nari and he kept his tone serious.

“The first time I saw you smile.” Kyuhyun unconsciously replied. That’s when he realized he had definitely fallen in love with Sungmin at first sight. He finally got the answer he had been looking for since long.

“Siwon, you lied to me when I asked you about you having feelings for me back when I was going to my old home after umma’s death?”

“I’m sorry. I wanted to say the truth. But the look in your eyes made me want to lie b
