Chapter 22
The one I lost my first kiss to...
A/N: The previous chapter was mainly Sungmin focused. This will be focused on others from the same day.
After Siwon was sent back from Sungmin’s apartment, he crashed at Heechul’s place. It was just him and his God who knew how he spent those thirty minutes around Sungmin as his heart was not at peace. He had to get his pain out of that little, throbbing organ and who else could he think of but his best friend?
“He indirectly rejected me.” Siwon began.
“Seems like déjà vu to me. Just that it was rather someone else being rejected by you.” Heechul was chuckling at his best friend’s misery.
“Don’t make me feel more awful than I already am feeling. I don’t want to remember the number of times I rejected you back then because now I know how one single rejection itself feels like.” Siwon was brooding so pitifully that Heechul couldn’t help himself from bursting into laughter. What can we do? He loved watching people in misery. And his best friend was no exception to him.
Siwon had buried his face in his hands at Heechul’s reaction. Thank you so much for being a best friend. The younger among the two grimaced at the sarcastic thought because seriously, Heechul was just making his misery more painful.
“Karma, man. It sure is the godmother of es.” Heechul’s laughter turned into annoying snorts and Siwon was whining at the elder.
“Hyung~ you’re not helping!”
“Fine, fine. Let me think of something.” Heechul tried calming his laughter. He was interrupted by the ringing of his phone and he excused himself from the brooding body on his brown couch.
Siwon stretched himself on the long couch; laying his whole body on the comfortable furniture and started reminiscing his conversation with the shorter intern in the bus from earlier. He couldn’t get the image; the look in Sungmin’s doe-like eyes, out of his mind. He wanted to take his words back. He wanted to shout out loud to Sungmin about his real feelings. He wanted to tell Sungmin that he has finally taken a twisted path in his ual preference. He wanted to hold Sungmin’s nervous hands and make him realize that Sungmin has finally changed his definition of normal friendship between same genders to crush, if not love; for him. But he couldn’t do that. The look of relief that had surfaced Sungmin’s eyes after saying otherwise and the comfortable atmosphere Sungmin had finally gotten back to, had reminded him of why he had lied to begin with. And he groaned further as he suffocated himself with a velvety black couch-cushion.
His brooding was cut short as Heechul plopped his lower body on Siwon and started bouncing on the poor human.
“Get up, you heartbroken, lame, moping . I’ve come up with an idea.” Heechul mocked at Siwon playfully as he continued bouncing on Siwon’s stomach —which had started to hurt by the needless assault, if I may add.
Siwon’s curiosity got the best of him as he yanked his body up, sitting in the process… and tripping the diva off his body effectively. Well… that was totally unintended…. I hope. Because a scary Heechul is a male version of Medusa —which says a lot by the way.
“I’m letting this matter go for now because I can’t let my mood get in the way of my plan.” Heechul frowned.
“What plan, Hyung?!” Siwon perked up. How couldn’t he? It was like God was sending some light to his darkened misery of rejection.
“Before that, you have to do something about that senior pharmacist, what was his name again?”
“You mean Doctor Kyuhyun?” Siwon hoisted his eyebrows as a scowl upon the mention of the pharmacist triggered some sore feelings within his heart.
Heechul, nonetheless, smirked at that. “Perfectly yes. You do realize he is in the same boat as you, right?” and his grin widened further upon the dejected expression the other had on his handsome face. “Man up for your gay rights.” Heechul triggered the male-pride of the younger.
“Don’t worry. I know what to do.” The determination detectable in Siwon's eyes and tone, he wasn’t even bothered to correct Heechul’s comment on him being gay. He wasn’t gay as gay. He was gay for Sungmin. After all, he was straighter than a ruler before he started crushing on the shorter intern.
Did I get distracted again?
Time to enjoy some bullfight, baby! That smirk on the diva’s face was a pretty yet scary sight parenthetically.

Kyuhyun was bursting the bubbles on the bubble wrap with such strength that one would doubt if he spared any at all. The poor bubble wrap was the courtesy of the new glass figurine of a delicate dolphin that Hyukjae had gotten from his elder sister overseas through courier. Yes, Kyuhyun was at Hyukjae’s place and no, he wasn’t invited. He invited himself in because….
