-3 months later-

Donghae walked around backstage, eyes fixed on his phone.  He was so focused that he didn’t notice the wall that was approaching closer and closer.  A few steps later, he walked right into the wall, letting out a surprised yelp.  He mumbled something that sounded like he was cursing the wall as he rubbed his now sore nose.  Of course, he still had his pride so he look around to see if anyone witnessed his embarrassing moment, he turned his head to the side and to his dismay saw a smirking Eunhyuk leaning against the wall. 

“Smooth Hae, very smooth.” He remarked as he walked over to Donghae who was still rubbing his nose, while sporting a cute pout. 

“It’s not funny Hyukkie, it really hurts.” Donghae whined.

“Well, would this make you feel better?” Eunhyuk asked before leaning in and kissing Donghae’ nose lightly, making Donghae blush immediately. 

Donghae nodded a little, but being the mischievous child that he was, he added, “You know, my mouth kind of hurts too.” 

Eunhyuk smiled a proud smile, “You’ve got to stop hanging around Heechul-hyung so much Hae.” And with that he wrapped his arms around Donghae’s waist, pulling him closer before the two of them locked lips in a sweet kiss.

They pulled away after a while only to rest the heads on each other’s forehead and just took the time to have a quiet moment with each other. 

If you haven’t guessed it yet, yes Donghae and Eunhyuk were now dating.  After the first meeting, the two of them had managed to meet up again for coffee.  Of course for Eunhyuk it was a bit more challenging since wherever he went, fans would crowd around him asking for pictures and autographs.  And there also was the occasional saesang fan, but Eunhyuk just had to see Donghae again and he would do anything to make that happen.  They had really hit it off and during one particular time while the two of them were walking in the park, Eunhyuk had decided to do the unexpected and out of the blue, he had stopped Donghae in his tracks and straight out kissed him.  Eunhyuk was expecting that Donghae would get mad and slap him and walk away, but to his surprise, Donghae had kissed back after getting over the initial shock of spontaneously getting kissed.  Since then, the two of them had been very happy together, but of course not everything had always been smooth sailing.  Their relationship had to be a secret, otherwise there would be no telling what it would do for Eunhyuk’s career or in what ways it would ruin Donghae’s life.  As a result, they could never hold hands when they went out in public, and they had to control themselves as to not give away anything about their relationship that the paparazzi could manipulate and use against either one of them.  But, they worked around the obstacles, in fact facing these challenges only strengthened the couple’s love for each other, and they both knew that they would go to the ends of the earth for each other.

“What was so intriguing that you couldn’t concentrate on walking anyway?” Eunhyuk asked while walking into the band’s dressing room and seating himself on the makeup chair, waiting for the makeup noona to come in. 

Donghae followed behind Eunhyuk into the dressing room while looking at his phone, and a few taps later he pulled up a picture and showed it to Eunhyuk. “If you must know, I was looking at this.” He said with a slight blush on his face.

Eunhyuk looked at the selca that Donghae had taken on their first official date, the both of them smiling awkwardly next to each other.  He couldn’t help but smile at the memories the picture brought back. 

“Aww, Hae you kept that picture all this time?”

Donghae nodded proudly, “Of course I did Hyukkie, this is such a special picture. Not to mention how good you look here.”

“Oh please Hae, between the two of us you’re the perfect one.” Eunhyuk complimented in a sweet voice which earned him a soft smack on the back of the head by a heavily blushing Donghae. 

The coordi-noona came in soon after and got to work on making Eunhyuk’s face stage perfect for the band’s Music Core comeback.  During times like these, Donghae knew not to disturb Eunhyuk as the latter took this time to go through his pre-show calming mantra.  So he settled himself on the nearby sofa, deciding to play a game on his phone to pass the time. 

He was about to reach his high score in one particular game when his phone suddenly vibrated signaling he had a new text message.  Donghae had no clue as to who it could be; Sungmin was off with Kyuhyun doing who knows what, Jessica was out of the country on vacation, and he didn’t have many other friends besides that.  He tapped the read button and the message wasn’t at all what he was expecting. 

You have a choice Lee Donghae; you either leave our Eunhyuk alone or face serious consequences

Attached to the text was a link to a popular Korean gossip website, and the bold headline read. ‘Does TRIX’s lead singer have a new beau? Nothing official has been confirmed yet, but we have enough photo proof to have our suspicions. Who is the mysterious guy? Stay tuned.’

As soon as Donghae read the rest of the article and saw the various pictures of him and Eunhyuk out and about on the streets of Seoul, he thought he would be sick.  He always knew in the back of his mind that something like this would eventually happen, he just didn’t think that he would have to deal with it so soon.  He also couldn’t help but feel a little scared as well; how did someone even get his phone number? He didn’t recall giving it to anyone that him or Eunhyuk didn’t know.  They both were always very careful whenever they went out, which was very rarely.  They usually stayed back in the band’s dorm cuddled up watching a movie or some sorts.  To say Donghae was afraid would be been correct, but he tried to brush the feeling into the back of his mind, trying to not let it affect him too much.  Besides, he didn’t want Eunhyuk to worry about him, seeing as how the other was already very overworked and stressed with the band finishing their tour and working on their new album and comeback.

“Hae? Donghae!” Eunhyuk’s voice startled the boy and snapped him out of his worrisome thoughts.  He looked up to see Eunhyuk standing over him with a worried looks on his face.

“Hmm, what’s up Hyukkie?” Donghae tried to sound like he was perfectly fine and that he didn’t just get a potentially threatening text message.

“You alright? One minute I look at you and you’re looking as cute as ever, and the next minute your face is pale and you kind of zoned out.” Eunhyuk asked in concern as he reached out to hold the other’s hand.

“Yeah don’t worry I’m great.  Besides, you should be focusing on the performance; you sure you have all the steps down and lyrics memorized?” Donghae asked, effectively changing the topic.

“Alright, if you’re sure Hae, and don’t worry, you know I’ve done this like a million times.” Eunhyuk ensured, saying the last part in an exhausted voice.  He gave Donghae’s hand one last squeeze before standing up and walking over to the mirror, making sure everything was perfect.

“Hyukkie, how many times do I have to tell you, you look hot.  Especially with the eyeliner of yours, I mean look at you, the coordi-noona did a really good job today.” Donghae continued complimenting until Eunhyuk came back to where Donghae was sitting and shut him up with a passionate kiss. 

“Thanks y, means a lot coming from you.” Eunhyuk smirked after they broke apart.  After exchanging one last gaze, Eunhyuk made his way to the door that led to the stage.

“Good luck Hyuk, love you!” Donghae shouted in encouragement, to which Eunhyuk blew him a kiss and made a heart with his hands before disappearing onto the stage, leaving Donghae to direct his attention back to the disturbing text he had just gotten.
