Kwon Ha-Neul ran and ran until she couldn't feel her legs anymore. The 3 oversized men in black tuxedos kept pursuing her through the empty streets of Seoul. The cool air of the dark night hit her fair skin and the brightness of the moon seemed to make Ha-Neul’s black hair gleam in the darkness.

While she was running away from the 3 pursuers, Ha-Neul breathed in and out steadily, making sure to pace herself properly and not tire herself out.  However, what she didn’t expect was to trip over a pebble and fall onto the hard gravel road, as she turned into an empty alley.

‘Finally…we got you cornered.’ One of the men muttered.

'Give up now.' one of the men said while advancing towards Ha-Neul.

'My my~ Boss will be happy when he sees what we've caught~' one of them with a shaven head said while rubbing his palms together.

'You two. Shut the hell up. Hurry up and take her. We ain’t got no time for stallin' the one with the gold teeth whom Ha-Neul presumed was the `leader’ of the two.

*.* Ha-Neul thought to herself.

While they were distracted, Ha-Neul got up quickly and swung a strong punch to one of the men in the face which knocked him out and moved on to Baldie. Baldie was tougher as he managed to predict almost all of her attacks and block them. So that left her no choice but to knee him in the 'you-know-where'. He crumpled down onto the road in pain while she stood there proud. But Ha-Neul had forgotten about the 'leader' . As she turned around to kick him, he punched her face causing her to stagger.

Ha-Neul’s breathing was getting heavier now. She was probably running for a good 1 hour straight before that and this punch did not help at all. Her vision started getting fuzzier and blurrer by the minute. H-Neul squinted her eyes, in hope that it would help.

From the corner of her eyes, she saw the `leader' come at her with a metal pipe. Aiming for Ha-Neul’s head.

*...This is it.  They're gonna catch me... After all these years...* Ha-Neul closed her eyes.

Ha-Neul closed her eyes, waiting for the impact but it never came. She slowly opened her eyes and saw a tall, lean boy protect her from the blow by grabbing it. His back was facing her so she couldn't see his face.

'Quick. Run.' he said with a deep voice.

Ha-Neul looked at him, dumbfounded and confused.

'PPALI! RUN!'' the mysterious man shouted; his deep voice resonating through the empty alleyway.

Ha-Neul took this opportunity and scrambled back up onto her feet and took a glance at his face before turning to run. To her disappointment, the alley was too dark and she could not really make out any of his facial features.

Ha-Neul turned and ran into the darkness of the night, letting the darkness engulf her.
