First date

The little moments

“I don’t like parties.” Jia simply said as she heard Eli let out a frustrated groan. “But it will be fun. Don’t you want to celebrate your nomination?” Eli walked up to Jia and took her shoulders in a firm grip. “Come on!” Jia just rolled her eyes at him. “There is no reason to celebrate since I haven’t won.” Eli looked down at Jia. “Yet.” Jia gave him a stern look. “I’m not gonna win. I’m up against all the major authors. I don’t stand a chance.” Jia looked like she had already given up. Eli put his hand under her chin to make Jia face him. “I don’t know if you noticed but.” Eli’s voice was kind and warm. “You are one of the major authors.” He flashed a smile. Jia blushed. “Flatter will get you nowhere. I’m not hosting a party.” Jia turned around and walked to the hallway of Eli’s apartment. Eli groaned again. “You are such a boring person! What does Soohyun even see in you?” Eli’s voice had a teasing as well as a frustrated tone to it. Jia chose to ignore him, which she had found out was something Eli hated. “Would you come if I was holding a party in your honour?” Jia looked back at Eli while she tapped her chin. “That depends, are you gonna try and get me drunk?” Eli smirked. “Maybe.” His voice was teasing. “Then it’s a no..” Jia gave him a breathtaking smile. Eli frowned. “I guess I have to go to Soohyun then.. I bet she’ll come if he asked her.” Eli’s lips curved into a devious smile as he walked after Jia into the kitchen. “She’ll never know what hit her.”

“Jia are you ready?” Soohyun called out from Jia’s hallway. “Coming.” Jia yelled while she was fixing her dress. This would be her first date ever and she wanted to look perfect. Jia had chosen a short marine blue dress, which followed her curves nicely. Jia had put a white rose pin in her hair as her only accessory. “Perfect!” Jia smiled to herself as she took her bag and jacket from the bed. Soohyun gulped as he saw Jia walk out of the bedroom. He felt his body heat up when he saw how the dress flattered Jia’s curves. “Woah.” Soohyun said as he raised his hand to his mouth as he held back a small gasp. “You look SO beautiful Jia.” Jia felt blood rush to her cheeks at Soohyun’s comment. “Thank you.” Jia said shyly as she fixed her hair an extra time.

“Are you ready to have the most perfect first date ever?” Soohyun asked as he was holding the car door for Jia. “You’re pretty confident about this huh?” Jia looked up at Soohyun as she sat in the car. Soohyun closed the door and walked to the other side. “Well I have a good reason to be.” Soohyun said with a cheeky smile as he started the engine. “So where exactly are you taking me tonight?” Jia asked as they drove down the street of Seoul. “It’s a surprise. I’ve planned something special for you.” Soohyun flashed a satisfied smile as Jia made a pouty face at him. “No fair.” Soohyun put his hand on Jia’s thigh. “You’ll just have to be patient.” Jia looked down at Soohyun’s hand as she started to blush. She felt her body ache for Soohyun’s touch. Soohyun looked over at Jia and then noticed what he was doing. He quickly pulled his hand back and mumbled a “Sorry” while his own face started to blush.

Jia couldn’t help but smile as Soohyun pulled up to Eli’s restaurant. “You’re taking me to your work? How romantic of you.” Jia gave Soohyun a teasing smile as he stopped the engine. “Just you wait.” Soohyun said as he got out and walked over to open the car door for Jia. “I hope to god Eli did as I said, otherwise I’ll kill him.” Soohyun held out his hand for Jia to take and she gladly did so. Jia expected the restaurant to be full since it was a very popular place, but it was completely empty. The entire restaurant was illuminated with candles and in the middle of the dining area was one single set table. Jia couldn’t get her mind around how beautiful the place looked. Soohyun leaned down to whisper in Jia’s ear. “It’s only going to be you and me tonight. I rented the entire restaurant.” Jia looked up into Soohyun’s brown eyes and leaned up to give him a warm sweet kiss on the lips. “It looks amazing Soohyun.” She gently said as Eli entered from the kitchen. “Welcome.” Eli greeted them like all other guests would have been. “A table for two in the name Shin Soohyun.” Soohyun said as he took Jia’s hand into his. “This way Mr Shin.” Eli showed them to their table. Soohyun held the chair for Jia as she was about to sit down. “Here are your menus. Would you like to order drinks now?” Eli gave them the menus and took out some posted notes. Soohyun looked over at Jia. “What would you like to drink dear?” Jia blushed slightly. “Is white vine okay with you?” Soohyun nodded. “A bottle of white vine please.” Eli scribbled it down and left the table so they could found out what they wanted to eat and get the vine.

“This place looks so beautiful. I can’t believe you did this for me.” Jia said while giving Soohyun a thankful and loving smile. “Only the best for my special lady.” Soohyun words made Jia blush. She had never met anyone who treated her as preciously as Soohyun did. Eli returned with the vine and asked if they were ready to order. Jia had trouble deciding so Soohyun stepped in. “Would you like me to order for you? You seem troubled.” Jia nodded shyly as Soohyun started to order. While waiting for their food, Soohyun and Jia talked about everything they could possibly think of. Soohyun even got Jia to talk about her fears in life. “Thunder. I am scared to death by thunder.” Jia said with a low voice. She didn’t seem too proud of it. “Whenever there is a thunderstorm.” Soohyun said as he locked Jia’s eyes with his. “You can come to me.” Soohyun’s eyes sent her a loving look to show that he really meant it. “Why are you so perfect?” Jia asked while smiling sweetly. Soohyun felt heat rise to his cheeks. He didn’t understand how such small comments made him weak in the knees like this. Soohyun felt like he had finally found the right girl.

“So do you always give girls this treatment?” Jia asked as she took a sip of her soup. “No, this is actually the first time I’ve sincerely tried to impress someone.” Soohyun showed a small smile. “The dates I’ve been on have either been double dates or just a cup of coffee at a café.” Jia looked over at Soohyun. “Double dates? Really? I couldn’t quite picture that.” Jia said while she tapped her chin as she was trying to imagine Soohyun on a double date. Soohyun chuckled lightly. “Eli dragged me to every one of them.” Jia made an “Oh” expression. They exchanged smiles. “I haven’t really dated much since I got Dongho.” Jia nodded. “You really don’t have any idea on how he got that way?” Jia’s voice had a serious tone to it. Soohyun shook his head. “I’m assuming it has something to do with his mother. I never even knew she was pregnant.” Soohyun sighed. “One day a little kid was just laying on my doorstep with a note, saying it was my son. I didn’t know how to react.” Soohyun’s eyes turned bitter. “It also said, that she was leaving for France and this kid was now mine and she wanted nothing to do with something I created.” Jia felt sadness cover her body. “That is so awful.” Soohyun looked up at Jia and saw her sad expression. “Well at least I got something wonderful out of it.” He gave a weak smile. “Yeah, Dongho is an amazing kid.” Jia said as she started to smile a little. “But I bet he’s going to give you trouble in his teenage years.” Soohyun couldn’t help but laugh at that comment. “You know what? I think you’re right.” They both laughed a little. Soohyun took Jia’s hand from across the table. “I hope you’re ready for the time of your life tonight.” Jia gave Soohyun a confused expression. “There is more?” Soohyun flashed a big smile. “Of course there is. I promised you a perfect first date and you’re gonna get one.”

“Can I open my eyes now?” Jia asked excitedly as Soohyun led her up the stairs to the 2nd floor of the restaurant. “Impatient are we?” Soohyun chuckled at bit at Jia’s excitement. “Just a few more steps and… Now.” Soohyun removed his hands from Jia’s eyes. Jia’s lips curved into a big and happy smile. The 2nd floor was used for private parties and such so it could pretty much be used for whatever you had the time for. Being in the middle of March it was quite cold outside, so Soohyun had made it into an indoor garden with a lot of roses. Jia could hardly believe her own eyes. “How on earth did you manage to pull this off?” Jia was stunned. Soohyun smirked. “I am a pretty creative guy. Do you like it?” Jia looked up at Soohyun with big eyes. “I love it.” Soohyun caressed Jia’s cheeks with his right hand and leaned down to give her a passionate kiss. Jia put her hands on Soohyun chest as she met his lips halfway. Soohyun gently pulled away and took Jia’s hand in his. Suddenly a slow song started to play throughout the room. “Would you care to dance?” Soohyun asked as he gently kissed the backside of Jia’s hand. Jia felt blood rush to her cheeks as she gave a shy nod.

Soohyun held Jia close as they moved slowly to the rhythm of the music. Jia had never been a good dancer so she kept looking down to her feet as Soohyun led the way. Soohyun couldn’t help but smile at her clumsiness. He removed one of his hands from Jia’s waist to place it under her chin and made her face him. “You are supposed to look at your dance partner’s eyes, not his feet.” Jia blushed in embarrassment. “Sorry… I’m a really bad dancer.” Soohyun gave her a gently smile. He pulled her a little closer to his chest. They were gazing deeply into each other’s eyes. Soohyun kissed Jia once again, this time with more pressure. Jia immediately melted into kiss and moved her arms to around his neck. She felt her entire body heat up. “I have another surprise.” Soohyun said with smile as he pulled away from the kiss. Jia’s eyes got wide. “There is more?” Soohyun nodded as he made a sign for Eli to enter. Eli entered with a beautiful cake with Jia’s name on it. Both Eli and Soohyun started to sing happy birthday. Jia held her hands over . “How did you know?” Soohyun and Eli exchanged some suspicious looks as Eli left the room. Soohyun turned to Jia. “I talked to Kevin.” Jia cursed Kevin in her mind. She had never really been the type that celebrated her birthday. “But you didn’t have to do all of this.” Jia said as she looked at the cake. “Yes, yes I did.” Soohyun simply said as he held the cake out for Jia to blow out the candles. “Make a wish.” Jia closed her eyes as she wished for everything to stay as it was, perfect. She blew out the candles as Eli entered the room once again. “Here you go birthday girl.” Eli said with a grin as he handed her two presents. “The blue one is from me and the red I from loverboy.” Eli said and handed them to Jia. “You didn’t have to get me anything.” Jia said with a shy tone. “This is really too much.” Soohyun shook his head. “If I can’t make my girlfriend feel special on her birthday, when can I?” Jia sent him a loving smile.

When Jia opened Eli’s present she found a trendy new coat. It was grey with big black buttons, simple and classy. Jia felt her heart jump in joy. “Thank you so much Eli! It’s perfect!” Eli made a satisfied face as sent her a warm smile. Jia walked over and gave him a light hug. “Thank you.” Jia then sat down to open Soohyun’s gift. When Jia opened the smaller present, she gave a little gasp as she saw a pair of silver rose earrings. “Oh my...” Jia held her hand over . “How on earth did you know I wanted these? Kevin doesn’t even know that!” Soohyun shrugged. “I thought it was your style, so I bought them.” Jia made a pleased face. “Thank you Soohyun. This was exactly what I wanted, perfect.” Jia felt a bit sentimental. This was the most amount friends she had in years and they were all so incredibly kind to her. Jia felt like she had finally found a place where she belonged.

On the way home in the car Soohyun wanted to know how Jia felt about the night. “So… What did you think?” Soohyun looked at her with anticipation streaming out of his eyes. “I don’t think I will ever go on a date that can top this one.” Jia said as she smiled to herself. Jia had really enjoyed the night and she had really felt special, something that she never felt before. “What did you like the best?” Jia tapped her chin while thinking. “The indoor rose garden.” Jia said as she had a dreaming expression on her face. “It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.” Soohyun felt accomplished. “I’m glad you liked it.” Soohyun gave a kind smile. “I didn’t like it.” Jia said. Soohyun made a frown. “I loved it!” Jia flashed a breathtaking smile. Soohyun made a pouty face. “That was not cool.” Jia just laughed.

Soohyun held Jia’s hand in a tight grip as they walked up the stairs of the apartment building. They stopped in the middle of their apartments. “Thank you for a wonderful night Soohyun.” Jia said as she squeezed Soohyun’s hand a little. Soohyun pulled Jia closer. He put his left hand on her cheek and looked deeply into her eyes. “Jia, I think I…” He paused and took a deep breath. “What is it Soohyun?” Jia sounded a bit concerned. He leaned closer to her face as Jia’s cheeks became a dark shade of pink. “I love you.” Soohyun pressed his lip against Jia’s. Jia was stunned and almost forgot to kiss Soohyun back. “Loves me! He loves me? Oh my… This calls for a fangirl scream in my head!” Soohyun pulled away. They stood in silence. Jia nervously took Soohyun’s hand in hers. “I-I… I love you too.” Jia’s face was now completely blood red and she felt dizzy. Soohyun’s eyes lit up as Jia finished speaking. He embraced Jia and held her against his chest. “You don’t know how happy you just made me.” Soohyun gently said as he hugged Jia tighter. “I think I know the feeling.” Jia spoke against Soohyun’s chest. His warm embrace made her relax and feel safe.

Jia got an idea. She looked up at Soohyun with a really cute pouty face. “Oppa… I’m scared to walk home alone. Will you walk me home?” Jia’s voice was full of aegyo. It took Soohyun by surprise. His face became flustered as he quickly pulled himself together. “Of course I’ll walk you home.” Soohyun’s voice sounded sarcastic as he spoke. They looked at each other and started to laugh. “That was so weird!” Jia said in between her laughs. Soohyun wiped a tear away from his eyes. “I didn’t know you used aegyo.” Soohyun looked over at Jia with a smirk on his lips. “You were really cute.” Jia looked down to the ground. Her face started to become red again. Soohyun walked closer to her and raised Jia’s head with the tip of his finger. “You should call me oppa more often.” Soohyun’s voice was low. Jia’s face was completely red once again and she felt her body heat up from Soohyun’s finger touching her chin. Jia leaned up for a kiss as Soohyun came closer. They shared a gentle kiss. Soohyun pulled away and looked into Jia’s eyes with a sly smile on his lips. “How about you sleep at my place? I don’t really feel like walking you all the way home.” Jia couldn’t help but smile as she nodded and followed Soohyun into his apartment.

Soohyun had denied when Jia said she would just go and get some clothes from her apartment. He wanted her to wear his clothes instead. “Why not?” Jia asked and frowned a bit. “Because I like it when you’re in my clothes. It looks much more y.” Soohyun smirked as Jia crossed her arms over her chest. “Please do it for me?” Soohyun’s eyes were pleading. Jia sighed as she gave in. “Fine.. Give me that then.” Soohyun made a happy expression. “Thank you honey.” Jia just glared back at him and walked to the bathroom to change.

Soohyun had picked the same shirt she wore the first night they spent together. When Jia walked out of the bathroom in his shirt, Soohyun’s eyes got wide. He had forgotten how y he thought she looked. Just as the first time Jia didn’t wear pants and her dark blue lase were visible. Soohyun had to take a deep breath to calm himself. He felt his lower regions react. Jia saw his expression and tugged on the shirt to cover more of her body. “God she looks so y… Aish what do I do? I can’t just… can I? God damnit Soohyun, stop being such a bastard! ” Soohyun got pulled out of his thoughts as Jia cleared . “Do you have work early tomorrow?” Jia hugged herself as she leaned against the wall. Soohyun shook his head. “I have to be there at noon.” Jia just nodded. “Could we see a movie then?” Jia asked shyly. “I don’t really feel tired.” Soohyun just chuckled at her shyness. He gave her a nod as approval. Jia quickly walked over to his movie shelf and of course picked a horror movie. This time it was Silent Hill. Jia turned around and held the movie up. “Can we watch this?” Jia had an excited look on her face. Soohyun just nodded as he chuckled. The way Jia lit up when it came to horror related things was something Soohyun enjoyed and he also found it extremely cute. Jia put the movie in the DVD player and as she did so she totally forgot that she wasn’t wearing any pants. Jia cursed at herself as she quickly stood up with a red and flustered face. When she turned around to face Soohyun, the atmosphere had changed and so had his eyes.
