Taemin awoke to a hand gently caressing his face. For a moment he lay there, reveling in Kai's touch...

And then he remembered that he was in the Fae Realm, and there was no way it could be Kai.

His eyes snapped open and he scrambled back against the headboard, trying to place as much distance between himself and Lo'gann. It was difficult to ignore the pain that stemmed from the cuts and bruises that covered his body from the beating the day before, and he grimaced as he cowered in the corner of the bed. The Prince sat there and simply watched, compassion in his eyes that Taemin could only peg as being fake.

"You don't have to be afraid of me, Taemin." He said quietly, lifting a hand to once again touch Taemin's face, but the boy shrank away from him once again.

 "How am I supposed to believe that when I am covered in bruises from your fists?" He asked, bitterness thick in his voice. He didn't even regret saying it, either, because there was no way Lo'gann could hurt him more than he already had.

To his surprise, though, the Prince raised his hand and made a strange gesture in the air. Only seconds letter, Taemin's bruises and cuts disappeared to be replaced by smooth, unbroken skin. "There, all better," he said with a smile, and Taemin could only gape at him.

"Taking away the damage you did does NOT make it okay, you total !" He said in disbelief, and knew right away that he had said the wrong thing. Lo'gann's face darkened and Taemin barely registered his raised fist before it smashed into his face, a sharp crunch sounding as Taemin's nose broke under the force. Tears and blood began flowing immediately, and Taemin curled into a ball with his hands over his face as Lo'gann stood to his feet, his face twister in anger.

"You will submit to me and accept me, Taemin, or you'll be my punching bag. Either way, though, you're mine. Get that through your head."

He stormed out of the room, leaving Taemin to his pain.
