SeHun helped Kai put his belongings into his new room in LuHan's apartment, then headed down the hallway to see what his lover was making for dinner. Stepping into the kitchen, he moved to grab plates from the cabinet as LuHan finished the meal on the stove. 

Silence reigned for only a few moments, though, as SeHun simply set the stack of plates onto the table and turned to face LuHan. "Like, what?" He said, and LuHan cast a glance over his shoulder at him. "I mean, he was all excited to be coming home with this Taemin! I don't get it!"

LuHan shook his head in response and turned to look at SeHun. "Babe... maybe they just broke up and Kai is trying to just pretend he never existed. It's been known to happen."

"Kai doesn't do stuff like that," SeHun said, giving LuHan an irritated look.

Crossing his arms, the Chinese boy leaned back against the stove to glare back at SeHun. "Then how do you explain it? Huh? He's just gone through some sort of fantastic plane wreck and then secret agents put him back onto a new plane that happened to arrive at the scheduled time, and gave him some sort of amnesia?"

SeHun snorted in amusement, shaking his head at the silliness, then stepped forward to embrace LuHan. Resting his chin on the other's shoulder, he sighed. "No, nothing stupid like that. I just... I don't know. It all seems so odd." He leaned back to look LuHan in the eyes. "LuLu... Kai was in love with him. I saw it in his eyes, and heard it in his voice. I don't understand what happened, but something did. And I plan to find out."

Kai cleared his throat from the doorway, and SeHun purposefully gave LuHan a kiss before releasing him. "Hey, Kai. Ready for dinner?"

Kai simply rolled his eyes with a smile and moved to set the plates out. "It's not even ready," he said, and SeHun laughed. "Yes, well, it almost is. Sit!"

As with any best friends who are separated for some time, the conversation naturally picked up between the two of them, with LuHan simply adding something in here and there. Kai had a lot of questions about what SeHun had been up to
