Gui gui was panting as she arrived at the track. She looked everywhere but she still can’t
find them. The frustration is getting into her. She had become tense.

Gui gui’s POV: “God, Where are they? Has the race ended yet? I hope there’s still time.”

She kept on looking till she saw him…

He was sitting beside his car with his head looking down. She slowly moves closer to
him. She could feel her hear beating fast. She took a deep breath then touches him.

“Wang zi…”

He raises his head up and looks at her straight in her eyes as if reading though them.

“W – What happened?” she stammered. She’s not really sure if she wants to hear the
answer to her question.

Wang zi lets out a bitter smile.

“I won the race…”

Gui gui stares at him.

------------Flashback------------

Both cars are one lap away from the finish line. Both them could taste the victory. It was
a neck to neck fight. Aaron takes a glance at Wang zi.

100 meters left…

Wang zi’s mind was on the game. He can’t afford to loss. He can’t afford to give her
away.

“He purposely loss… he slow down” Wang zi said as he look straight at Gui gui waiting
for any reaction.

------------Flashback------------

“Why did you do that?!” Wang zi angrily shouts as he walks towards Aaron.

“I don’t know what your talking about. You just won the race!” Aaron said in cold tone.

“Don’t give me that crap! You know damn well what I’m talking about. Why did you
slow down?” Wang zi glare at him.

Aaron returns his glare.

“Cause I know it would hurt her more to see us like this. All I want is for her to be
happy… I given her to you but just promise me one thing take care of her, love her, never
EVER make her cry.” Aaron said then he leaves.

“He planned…” Wang zi continued.

“From the very beginning he planned to loss.” Gui gui interrupted him. Tears start to fall
from her eyes. She began to sob.

“I – I’m sorry…” she whisper.

Wang zi move closer to her and hugged her tightly.

“I like you… I really do… but” again she broke into tears.

Wang zi lets out a smile.

“I know… I may have won the race but he won your heart from the start… the prince
came late his ghost already has her knight.” He said as he tries to suppress his tears. The
image of Gui gui’s drawing flash his mind.

“I love you Gui and loving someone means wishing for her happiness… Aaron is a good
guy I could attest to that. I now set you free…”

“Thank you” Gui gui sob in his arms once more before he release her.

“Go”

Gui gui nods and leave him. As he watches him leave tears came running down her eyes.
When she’s finally out of his sight he begun to wipe his tears and took a deep breath.
Wang zi took out his phone and dialed a number.

“Wei, Dad, it’s me… the wedding is off… yup don’t worry… I’m OK. Finally have the
guts to set her free. Be home in just an hour …bye.” Wang zi hangs up he didn’t want his
father to hear him cry. The pain is intolerable he knew it won’t be easy. He would never
forget her. Gui gui would forever be part of his heart but he need to move on and he’ll
move on in time…
