CHEN POV:

Ring. Ring. Ring.

'Annyeong?'
'Jongdae? Did I wake you?'
'Tao? N-no, not really...'

Chen sat up groggily, eyes flicking over to glance at his clock. Eight in the morning... Chen rubbed his eyes, yawning widely. He stole a glance at the other side of the bed. Xiumin wasn't there... He turned his attention back to the phone.

'Is something worng, Tao?'
Hesitation...
'I-I'm not sure. Do you think I can come over today? I need to ask you something...'
'Uhh, I guess so... Minnie isn't home today, so I'm fine with company. I'm free to talk.'
'Thank you, Chen. I'll be over in a few hours.

Chen paced his apartment, waiting patiently. Whatever Tao needed to talk about, Chen hoped he would be the right sort of person he needed. He sounded pretty flustered on the phone...

Chen sat down at the little square table in the corner. The centre was adorned with flowers; a present from Minnie, for his birthday. Chen stretched his arms out over the surface of the table, fingers brushing over a slip of folded paper. He looked down. The paper had his name written on the front in neat handwriting. 김종대.
He picked up the slip, and opened it up. It was from his boyfriend.
김종대,
I do apologize for not being the first thing you see when you wake up... ;) I was called over to my parents' place -something important, I should hope. So, I am truly sorry!
I'll try to be home in the evening, in time for dinner. I'll cook, so don't even think about stepping into that kitchen! Just relax till then~

Chen hugged the note. It even smells like him...
*knock knock*
Chen stuffed the note into the pocket of his jeans and lifted himself up off the table, and strolled over to the door. When he swung the door open, he saw a tall, raven-haired boy staring back at him. Chen welcomed his friend with a grin, and waved him inside.

'Annyeong, Tao! Been a while since I saw you last! How have you been?'
'Hehe, annyeong Jongdae~ I have been great, I guess... Uhh, can we sit?'
Right to the point, isn't he?
Chen gazed at the boy as they both seated themselves at the table. Chen shifted the flowers to see the other better. Tao was awfully pale, and looked nervous about something. Chen waited a while, while Tao observed the apartment he no longer lived in.
Chen waited.
'Jongdae, can I ask you something? And can you not tell anyone else about this?'
Uhh... 'That depends, really. But, I promise.'
'Thank you... Well, I just want to know... What is love like?'

Chen gasped slightly; this was unexpected of Tao. Never once was the other boy ever concerned with relationships or other people. He despised being around Xiuchen when they were being affectionate. He hated talking about love. But now...

'I think it's different for everyone, personally. But, what do you mean exactly, Tao?'
...'Wha- How- I-'
'Tao?'
The other boy sighed and looked up from the table. 'I mean, how can you tell when you love someone? What do you feel?'

'Well, it's like when I first met Minnie... Even before I started talking to him, he was constantly on my mind. I felt drawn to him, to his presence, like I needed to be with him. My chest and head ached whenever he wasn't around, and was worse when he was... I always watched him from a distance. I always felt the aching need to be with him.
I know I at explaining this! Don't laugh! But, to clear it up... Love is when you want to do everything in your power to be with that person, to care for them. Love them. Protect them. Do you understand?'

Tao was silent for a while, clearly uncomfortable with this discussion. Chen didn't blame him. They both fiddled with their fingers. And then...

'Tao?'
The other boy looked back up. Tears slipped their way down his cheeks, and Chen rushed around the table to hug the crying boy. 'Tao... Is there someone you love?'
'Y-yes... K-Kris...'
Chen gasped, but said nothing. He continued to comfort the boy. They hugged for a few minutes, silently. Tao then pulled away, sighing loudly as he wiped away his tears with his jacket sleeve.
'Kris, huh? What do you mean, exactly? Tell me how you feel about him...'

The other boy looked up again.
'I-Its not just him, Chennie... There is this other boy, too.' Oh dear... 'I feel different things for them both, and I just can't decide...'
'Tao...' Chen held the boy's hands, comfortingly. 'Just tell me...'

TAO POV:

'When I look at Kris, or think about him, my chest hurts. I want to be there, hugging him and kissing him. I want to yell at him, and tell him how I feel. I think he feels the same way too. He is always close, hugging me and taking me out to dinner. And when last night happened...'
'Last night?'
'Y-yeah. We were just going our separate ways to bed, and then he just kissed me. For a long time. It just felt so good, so I kissed him back. But when I went to bed, I freaked out and decided to call you.'

'And the other boy?'

'With him, it's different. Around him, I feel like I don't need to impress him. Just be myself. I act casual, though it hurts. All we do is walk on the beach, talk, hold hands, laugh.'
'So, you think that with Kris, it's all urges of love and affection, but with the other boy, it's more like close friendship?'
'I think so. I feel so strongly drawn to both of them, and I think they are much the same way. I just don't know what to do, Jongdae...'
What a dilemma I have myself in...
Click. The door swung open, startling both the boys. Chen lept off Tao, and sat back down opposite him. Minseok came through the door, shopping bags hung off his arms. Chen got up and went up to embrace the boy. They sweetly kissed eachother, making Tao feel awkward, and slightly jealous.

Sigh. I wish Kris and I were like that... Or me and Kai... Dammit...

Hello, guys!!!

So, I hope you guys love this chapter. Feels really long for me, XD But yes, TAO IS IN LOVE!!! WITH TWO GUYS! Like, woah calm down Taotao, one at a time, boy! XD

I still can't really decide on his relationship problems, so I made him talk about it with Chennie, since that boy is going strong with Minnie and would be a great example. I really hope that was a good idea ;)

So, if there is anything I need to work on, please leave a comment! I greatly appreciate them!

Now, I have to go back to reading this AMAZING fanfiction with Jongkey in it ~ I ship them both so hard!
