If I could tell you my feeling right now, it was no other than an ordinary feeling. I was enjoying everything around me but there was nothing special that could make me smile. I only smiled to show how polite I was and not fully because I wanted it. This world is surely rude, isn’t it?

I sighed as I watched everyone busily passing around me and I was doing nothing in the middle of the room. I only stared on them as everyone busily chatted and talked about people they had to handle on that time. My manager had been going to buy me drinks and I had to stay on the recording studio because I was the guest for the show and today was quiet critical day for the show itself. I didn’t know whether I would really help them in increasing their rating but surely I would try.

“Are the girls here?” One of the staff shouted as he busily checked some papers on his hands. I innocently watched him in his act. He looked panic for a reason and I didn’t know why but maybe it was because of the girls he mentioned earlier? “Yes, boss! They’re going to here.” One of the women staffs replied. “Good! Now, where’s Song Jung Ki-ssi?” Upon hearing my name being mentioned, I coughed a little to attract his attention. He turned his body and looked at me in surprise. “Oh, I’m sorry! I didn’t know you were there, forgive me. Anyway, are you ready for the show?” His spirit was very high that I couldn’t help but nodded foolishly, not knowing that it would be a disaster soon.

“Alright, wait here.” I didn’t know what I should reply on him so I only nodded as I continued looking around. My eyes bumped on four figures who was rushing going into the room. They were girls and looked pretty familiar but I didn’t know who they were for sure. I took some more time to indentify them but I failed once again and I didn’t bother to try anymore. I looked at them blankly and when they approached me and bowed I mumbled a few of things that only could be understood by me before bowing to them too.

“Good afternoon, Song Joong Ki-ssi. We are from SECRET.” My head was clouded with question when the short-haired girl mentioned the name. What was she talking about SECRET? Did they come from a company which named “SECRET” to interview me? But I thought I had no interview schedule for today?

“Joong Ki-ah! Have you met with your partners today?” The PD suddenly appeared from nowhere with a very bright face. I thought he was a gloomy man…? What happened until his face became so damn bright? “Uhm.. No?” I hesitatingly said as I looked back between the girls and the PD. A whack sound soon heard as the PD slapped my back with his full strength and gave me a scary smile. I winced in pain as he kept the smile on his face. But I noticed too that the girls were suffered from embarrassment that wasn’t that obvious but I knew they were embarrassed.

“What?” I hissed, forcing a smile to the girls who replied my smile with an awkward smile. “They’re SECRET, you . They’re a girl group that will be one of your partners. God, I want to slap you once again, can I do it?!” I choked on my own saliva when I listened to his explanation. “Oh! I’m very sorry!” I quickly apologized to the girls.

One of them replied with a low “It’s okay” and then I knew I had fallen into an awkward situation with them. The PD smacked me once again before left me with the girls. Luckily they had to manage their make up and my manager came in the right time. My manager eyed me with a frown but I didn’t want to talk to him, not when I was still embarrassed by my own act and I was too embarrassed to tell him the whole story while the girls were all just a few steps away from me.

When the filming process started, I got a rid of the awkwardness and became someone else. What made me a little bit uncomfortable was the sharp glance the short-haired girl would give to me whenever I tried to joke with them. She was looking at me as if she would kill me in another time when we would meet. I tried my best to avoid her though the MCs were really too much when they matched me with her, saying that we looked good together. I really wanted to laugh out loud because they said that as if the girl and I would be a good couple. Well, maybe one day it would really happen. I just said maybe.

The staffs were really noisy talking me about this short-haired girl who named was Hyosung as a new couple. I wanted to tell them to shut up but I was too polite for doing that kind of thing. I could see that Hyosung was uncomfortable as well with what they were doing but she remained silent either, just like me.

When the break time came, the girls went to a corner and I went to another corner. My manager still had his frown for me but I kept ignoring him. I was going to drink when a polite voice made me turning around. “Sunbae-nim.” I was a bit shocked when I saw the short-haired girl in front of me. Instead of her sharp eyes, she gave me a warm look that actually could melt me on my place if I didn’t know where I was.

“Uhm.. Nde?” “This is for you. Please eat it well.” She bowed once again before going to her place again. I stared on the food on my hands and couldn’t help but suddenly feeling hungry. I didn’t know she was a good girl, well at least now I knew it. I was going to eat the food when my manager rushed on me and took a spoonful of the food. “Song Jung Ki! How many times do I have to tell you to not eating something that I don’t buy for you?” He paused for a moment, swallowed the foods but his expression changed when he started talking again. “Oh . This is good.” And he started taking another mouthful of the foods. I was going to protest but he didn’t stop. “Hyung…” I whined but he didn’t care and started eating another bite. In a moment, the foods had gone into his stomach and I was left there with my drools as I watched the foods slowly disappeared. “Hyung…. Did you eat all of my foods?” I asked and got noticed by him. He blushed but suddenly yelled to me, “So no matter what, you shouldn’t eat something from someone else whom you don’t know before I test it!” I shook my head in disbelief as I stared on him. “I’ll buy you some foods! Wait here!” And he once again had gone, leaving me all starving because his stupid act.

“Aren’t you hungry?” the sweet voice of the girl once again greeted me from the back. What was wrong with this girl? Couldn’t she face me and asked me in a normal way? “I bet I’m starving by now.” I replied back in a little bit harsh tone. My back was still facing her and I hadn’t turned my body but I was kind of surprised when a lunch box suddenly appeared beside my face. “You could eat this, a healthy man shouldn’t be starving in the middle of his war.” She said and I was speechless on her words. She waved the lunch box again and made me a bit annoyed. But then I decided to face her and I was greeted by her innocent look on me. I gulped hard, why my heart beat a beat faster than before?

“You have to eat.” She said with a smile and offered the lunch box once again to me. I eyed her in hesitance and I thought she knew what I was thinking when she started speaking again, “What if we eat the foods together? I think I packed a little bit too much this morning. What do you think?” Her smile had never left her face and I was stunned by that, how could she kept smiling after what I had done to her?

“I..” “Come on! The lunch time will end soon if you keep trying to think the answer!” She pulled me without any hesitant and quickly opened the lunch box. I stared into the lunch box in a slight disbelief, she truthfully ate a small amount of foods and yet, she still wanted to share it to me? She called it too much too!

“Why you only staring on it? Does it look back?” She asked with a worry voice and I looked up from the lunch box. “No, it’s just that.. I can’t believe you call this “a little bit too much”.” I mumbled, looking into the box again. She just laughed upon hearing my words, I suddenly felt calm when she laughed and there was a good feeling when she started laughing. I felt good just by hearing her voice. The war we had earlier seemed to disappear as fast as it started and I felt thankful for that.

She didn’t say anything as we started eating the foods. The lunch time was going to over soon and she still tried to bit her foods, chuckling on her action, I helped her by pulling the chicken bones from and put it into the box. She froze for a moment, looking at me as if I had been crazy. I looked at her, shrugged carelessly and gave her my smile. I wiped the dirt from and wiped my own hands from the dirt before helping her to stand. We separated as we had to check out our make up and put some more on our faces.

“Weren’t you too much?” She asked as we sat again on the couch in the middle of the recording room. Her group members were sitting on different couch as we talked. “What was too much?” I asked back, almost innocently as I really didn’t know what she was talking about. “Your act!” she said desperately and I couldn’t help but chuckling. “You think too much, aren’t you, girl.” She looked at me once again in disbelief. I looked at her as she was still looking at me in disbelief. I tried to figure out why in the world she would look at me in that way but then the fact hit me. I giggled nervously as I eyed her, “I’m sorry. I should call you by your name.” I said but then she ignored me completely. Did it mean that the war started again?

I started to light up the atmosphere but I knew she had been angry again to me, for a reason that I thought was silly. But whatever, she had ignored me anyway so there was no point for me to blabber on her about that. She would be angry on me again if I did that. “Joong Ki-ssi, don’t you have a girlfriend now?” The sudden question made me startled, if I didn’t film the show with her I would think that she had dugn things too far from the edge.

“Why do you ask such a question?” I asked as I laughed to her but with a glare that only could be seen by her. “It’s something that we all curious about, isn’t it? Isn’t it okay to answer such a thing?” Her shot on me was very strong, I hated her. “I don’t know. I think I haven’t had one for a long time.” A lie that had been coming out from my mouth for times sounded very funny at the moment but I kept saying that anyway. Hyosung glanced me once before laughed, acting very well.

I sighed as the filmed had been finished.  I bowed to thank everyone, including the SECRET’s girls. I was going to go when someone grabbed my arm, holding me still on my place. I looked on the owner of the hand and saw Hyosung who was giving her sly smirk on me. She came closer to me, whispered in evil voice which made me shivering a little. “I know you have one recently, don’t you? What a shame to lie like that.” And with that, she let go of my arm and gone. I blinked in confusion. Why did she care that much?

“Does she have an interest on you?” My manager asked as he suddenly came on my side. I shook my head, mumbling “I don’t know” before starting to walk again.

“Your figure makes me wondering about you more.”
