Yi Jung and Woo Bin

I’m at this ski resort with the company that my dad works for. And while he’s shooting models, I’m free to roam. Though, when Min Hyuk’snot busy interning for the company, I’m not alone.

But, today is that day, I’m all alone.

With a book and hot cup of tea, I sit by the window in the hotel’s lounge.

Then, I suddenly get bored. Because two hours reading a book that doesn’t seem to rise your interest can do that.

Moments later, I hear a familiar voice behind me, greet “Yo, yo, yo, Devan” I turn around.

“Woo Bin,” He touches my shoulder, “what, I’m not good enough to be called your Sunbae? I’m hurt.” He touches his heart dramatically. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to,” he laughs, “Wow, this girl can really make you smile.” He directed this remark to Yi Jung, who stood behind him, smiling that brilliant smile at me.

They take their seats across from me. “I never would have thought that you would be here,” Woo Bin remarked picking up my book. “Oh, my dad is here for business so – here I am. But, why are you two here?” Yi Jung tells me “we normally come here during this time. It’s a popular place to be. Haven’t you noticed that almost everyone from Shinhwa is here?” I look around, seeing that most of these people were young. “Oh, I didn’t notice.” I bite my lip.

Woo Bin, who flips through my book, tells me, “Yeah, but, we’re really here because our fearless leader is trying to cheer up his girlfriend after what happened.” He pauses, closing my book, “Devan, this book seems boring.” I smile, “I’ve noticed.” I reflect on his ious comment, ‘So, that means that Jan Di is alright? I didn’t see her at school the following day.” Yi Jung looks at me with his deep eyes. “Yes, she’s fine.” Woo Bin continues, “I think she’s more then fine, seeing that her and Jun Pyo are outside having fun.”

He snaps his fingers, as if remembering something “Oh, yeah, we heard about you standing up to those three girls.” I felt Yi Jung’s eyes on me. Woo Bin continues, excitedly “Yeah, some students told us about it. And I thought that Jan Di was the only person who could stand up to them. I guess I was wrong.” I rub the back of my head, “I really didn’t do anything helpful, you should really thank that model” I stop for a moment, remembering what Jun Pyo did to him that day, minutes after he bumped into me. “Hey, what happened to him anyways? Is he alright?” Yi Jung and Woo Bin, for a moment exchanged glances, as if knowing something. “Let’s just say, he was up to no good,” Yi Jung replied.

It fell quiet for a moment, but, Yi Jung asks me, “Devan, are you and Jan Di friends?” I look at him, “well, we never talked before” Woo Bin glances at his friend, “Why that sudden question?”Yi Jung turns his attention back to me, pausing thoughtful before continuing, “I just think that Jan Di would need a friend like Devan who can stand by her side in our absence.”
