Fate
Snow FlowerLike every Saturday, you were invited to your aunt’s for dinner.
Eunsuh came out of her room and frowned, “Here again? Don’t you have your own house? Why do keep eating here like a beggar?”
“Kim Eunsuh!” Your aunt snapped.
“What?” She haughtily pointed her nose in the air.
“She eats with us because she’s FAMILY. And why are you criticizing her? At least she has her own house and makes her own money. You’re still stuck in here accepting our allowance!” Your aunt growled.
Eunsuh made a “Pshh.” noise as she shoved you out of the way to get water, “It’s because of her that Tiffany won’t let me into the sorority. Stupid lame mute-“
“You will shut that mouth of yours if you want dinner!” Your aunt yelled.
“Auntie, stop.” You pleadingly signed. She sighed, “Eunsuh, go buy these from the market.” “Why me?” Eunsuh made a face. Your aunt glared at her, “You want me to go there myself?” “Send her.” Eunsuh pointed to you and went into her room.
“That brat-“ Your aunt was about to go show her some respect but you grabbed her arm, “Stop, auntie. It’s okay. I’ll go.”
She shook her head, “No-“
“You have to make dinner and the market is down the street. I’ll be back soon. Don’t worry about it. Just give me a list.” You assured.
Your aunt sighed and patted your hand, “I’m so sorry, sweetie.” She wrote down the things you had to buy. Your aunt tried to give you some money but you shook your head, “I have money.”
“~~~~-“ Before your aunt could stop you, you already took the list and left with a goodbye wave. Your aunt softly smiled and shook her head *If only Eunsuh could learn a few things from you.*
You rubbed the soft fabric of your pink sweater and quickly walked down to the market. You bowed at the ahjumma. She smiled, “Good evening, ~~~~~. What can I get you?” You handed her the list and she packed them for you, “Here you go. That’ll be $10.87.” You paid for it
