The Seventeenth Letter
Letters to Chen
Dear Chen,
You never bother me (it's quite the opposite, actually), but I can't send you anymore letters. My parents are...they aren't the happiest.
"Talking to a stranger is not at all safe! He could be a scammer, or a criminal or anything within those lines!"
I had to suppress my smile at that point. You, of all people, wouldn't be like that, right? I trust you completely.
But I won't be talking to you for a while. They confiscated my envelopes, stamps and allowance.
I don't know what it'll take to convince them, but I'm willing to do anything.
I'll return as soon as I can,
Yoojin.
Dear Yoojin,
I don't want you to strain your relationship with your parents (I suggested that in the last letter), but I also don't want you to leave.
How can I? Our relationship can't be that weak. I won't just stand here doing nothing!
However....there's nothing I can do in this situation, right? Even my compulsive self has enough sense to see that.
But still hurry and come back!,
Chen.
