Chapter 1: YOU

You stared at the clock. You were leaving in about 10 minutes.

“Honey, are you ready?” your mom shouted.

You let out a big sigh, “Sure.”

You hated your life, especially now that you have to go see your dad that you haven’t seen in years.

Ever since your mom and dad divorced you hated him.

“______, we have to go.”

You nodded and got in the car.

It was a long drive. You were going down to Florida.

“Mom, this . Why do I have to visit dad alone?” you asked.

“Honey, he’s not going to eat you and your brother is going to be there tomorrow.”

“What? Taec is coming?” you asked excitedly.

She smiled, “Yeah, he’s not the only one that haven’t seen dad.”

I was glad Taecyeon was coming because I never see him anymore since he moved out of the house about a year ago.

After a while, you saw a billboard that said “Welcome to Florida.”

When you got towards the beaches, there were so many girls that were in their bathing suits and guys shirtless. You felt left out.

“I don’t think I fit in here.” you mumbled.

Your mom sighed, “______, don’t worry about anything,you’re going to be fine.”

“Of course I Am.” you said sarcastically.

Soon, you were at a beach house, which seem to be your dad’s house.

“Is this dad’s house?” you asked.

Your mom nodded, “Isn’t it nice?”

“Sure.” you replied.

Your dad came out running and hugged you.

You lightly gave him a hug.

He smiled at you, “______, look at you. You’re all grown up.”

I rolled my eyes, “Sure.”

He chuckled and went over to your mom.

You grabbed your purple suitcase and walked up the steps.

“Sweetie, I’ll bring it up for you.” your dad said.

He grabbed your suitcase and continued walking up the steps.

You and your mom followed behind.

You went inside the house.

Your mom gasped, “Look at the piano, ______. It’s red.”

Of course, she would point out the piano.

“Yeah, I could see that.” you mumbled.

You hated the piano.

Ever since you were 4, you had to learn how to play the

piano. You played 4 or 5 hours every day and now you’re sick of it.

You and your mom followed your dad to a bedroom.

Your dad put the luggage on the bed near the window.

“This is Taecyeon and your bedroom.” he said.

“I’m sharing a room with Taec?” you asked.

“What’s wrong with that? He’s just your brother.” your dad explained.

You nodded and agreed.

Your mom started, “I have to get going.”

You didn’t want your mom to leave; you didn’t want to be alone with your dad.

“Mom!” you shouted.

She looked at you, “Yes?”

“You can’t leave yet.”

“I have to, Honey.”

You sighed, “Now?

She nodded and walked out of the bedroom.

You followed her to the car.

“Mom, you can’t leave. I can’t stay here alone with dad.”

“What’s wrong? Your brother is coming tomorrow!”

You shook your head, “I know! I don’t think I can stay here.”

Your mom touched your face with her hand, “_____, you are going to be fine, trust me. You should go to the carnival, you don’t have to stay home, but I want you to spend time with your dad too.”

You looked down the block and saw there was a carnival.

“Ok, honey?” she kissed your forehead and went inside the car.

“Mom, I’m going to miss you.” you said quietly.

She smiled, “I’m going to miss you too.”

After that, she drove off.

You turned around and looked at the house.

This is where you’re spending summer at, how fun.
