“Yah, Chaerin-ah~ read this…” the main vocals of 2NE1 approached their leader with a magazine in her hand.

“What’s that unnie?” the blonde asked in confusion.

She sits by her side and patted her head, “The answer to your problem. Or something like that.”

“Is he into you?” CL reads the title, “Yah~ unnie, I told you I will not confess to him.” She pouted to the older woman and gave the magazine back.

Bom chuckled and handed her back the magazine, “It’ll be a guide to know if he likes you too, which is so obvious and that you’re just too dense, and what you should do to make him confess first.”

“Jinja??” She exclaimed and opened the magazine and started reading the article.

Crush Symptom #1

The Hang-Back

In Plain Speak: When you’re both out with friends, he always lags behind everyone else, hoping to get some quality time with you. No matter where you go, he’s always trying to find a way to be near you. At the very least, he’ll try to catch your eye.

Crush Symptom #2

The Tease

The Crush-ologist Says: “Conversationally speaking, the male will constantly attempt to elicit reactions (sometimes adverse) from the female, with the dual aim of prolonging your interaction and making a lasting impression.”

In Plain Speak: He teases you. A lot. Sometimes to the point of irritation (guys tend to overdo it, don’t they?). It’s all kindergarten, if you think about it. Guys never really get past that stage anyhow.

Crush Symptom #3

The Simple Tactic

The Crush-ologist Says: “He will create opportunities for seemingly inadvertent physical contact. This will happen at an alarming frequency.”

In Plain Speak: Whenever you see the guy, your shoulders always happen to “accidentally” brush against each other. Or he’ll suddenly squeeze your hand, casually drape his arm over your shoulder, or even try to hug you. The shy types will just be contented with resting their knee against yours.

The Nonsense Texts

The Crush-ologist Says: “Being the bashful species that they are, males will often take refuge and find courage in and through the effervescence of the digital domain.”

In Plain Speak: He sends you text messages out of the blue, from cheesy romantic quotes to subtle conversation starters. Whenever you log on to YM, he opens up a chat window at once, even if his icon says he’s busy. Either way, modern tech gives him the courage to approach you like he never would in real life.

Crush Symptom #5

The Friends

The Crush-ologist Says: “A close reading of the behavior of his peers is quite the reliable diagnostic methodology, as they are often less inclined to keep such an obvious attraction a secret.”

In Plain Speak: Whenever the two of you are together – or at least, fairly close – watch his friends. Check for knowing looks, half-hidden smiles, and irritatingly smug faces. Sometimes, they’ll make your job so much easier and just tease the two of you about being together.
