The Need For Each Other
“Hyun-ssi! Pose a bit more playfully with those words please!”
Hyun could not believe that she still ended up being dragged into doing this shoot and also a CF.
She wanted to leave!
She wasn’t going to be working for an absolute creep!
“Okay, CUT! Let’s move onto the CF shooting tomorrow.” The camera man said and everyone began to pack up.
Hyun bowed down to everyone with a smile and then walked off to get changed back into her own clothes.
As she was getting changed, putting on her short shorts, she heard a knock on her door.
“Come in!” She said as she sat down on the couch, pulling on her socks.
The door opened and in stepped Katie and Youngsaeng.
Hyun didn’t even bother getting up to greet him.
“Hyun…” Katie nudged her with an uneasy smile. Hyun ignored her and said,
“What the hell is he doing here?”
“You’re advertising my company, I have the right to be here.” He shot back as quickly. Hyun couldn’t argue with that. She tied the laces to her shoes and then stood up.
Picking up her Coach backpack, she walked past Youngsaeng but then he grabbed her, stopping her from leaving.
“You’re not done yet.” Hyun squirmed and gave him a death glare.
“Yes, I am.” She said and tried to break his grip but he just dug his hand in harder.
“No. You’re not.”

Hyun could not believe that Katie, her best friend didn’t tell her that she also had to sing!
“Why didn’t you tell me?!” Hyun screamed.
It was a good thing that they were at the roof top where there wasn’t anyone else but them two.
“I tried to-“
“No. I’m NOT doing it! I don’t give a damn if I lose this job! I’m leaving
“Please Hyun. Please…”

Hyun put on the headphones and looked at the lyrics that were in front of her. The music was playing in her eyes and her lips were moving to the lyrics but they weren’t recording.
After another 10 minutes, she had got down the lyrics and the tune.
Why was she doing this again?
Because of Katie. Because she’s too nice to refuse a friend.
The person controlling the recording gave her an OK sign and she ree with a smile but, just as the music began the play, Youngsaeng walked in and Hyun knew she couldn’t do it with him in the room.
She said,
“I’m sorry. Can you tell him to leave?” Hyun pointed to Youngsaeng and waited for him to leave but, he said something and the person said,
“I’m sorry. He says that he’s the CEO of Byul Complex. He needs to make sure you’re doing your job.”
Hyun clenched her fist and gave the person a forced smile.
“Okay, sorry. Let’s start again.”
The music began to play and she began to sing.

The music stopped and Youngsaeng’s voice filled her ears.
“Hyun-ssi. You need to sing those words with passion, emotion and love. Have you ever felt those things?”
Hyun hated the damn guy’s guts!
“No. And neither have you.”
“Well, you’re going to have to learn those feelings before you continue.” Hyun’s eyes widened.
He wanted to keep her prisoner!
“Fine. I have felt those things. Watch me!” She gestured to the person behind the control that was starting to look uneasy and awkward.
He nodded when she gave him an OK sign and the music began again.
Hyun had her eyes filled with the vision of her first boyfriend. The first boy who knew her inside and out, who loved her despite her looks back then.
Her voice came out, soft and caring.
