Chapter 3.
Wallflower Boys.Sorry the chapter is so short, I couldn't really drag it out. >.< the next chapter will be a lot longer, promise!~
Walking up the rubble path to his home, Baekhyun let the tears fall out his eyes. The last lesson never improved, for he got called up infront of the class to get hit a further 9 times with the ruler. He struggled to hold his bag, his hands so tender they hurt whenever he moved them. They needed a good soak in some warm water and soap, but he knew he'd be lucky if his mum even had one of those things.
The wind nipped at his ears slightly, causing his body to ripple out into a shiver. Ah, this is it. I'm going to the corn fields. Turning east-wards, Baekhyun headed for the only place he classed as his home.
---
He smiled, as the rows of corn came into his eye-sight. Moving his little legs, he ran up the hill to the tree that sat in the middle of the corn. Upon reaching it, he shrugged his bag off his shoulder and threw it towards the tree, his bag hitting the trunk and sliding down, his school books tumbling out onto the fields floor, getting covered in ashy stone. Oops.
Baekhyun sat down, leaning his back against the tree trunk, the bark digging into his back, though he didn't mind it at all. He let out a sigh, the smile that disappeared after lunch returning. Slowly shutting his eyes, he calmed himself down and began to think of his beautiful stranger.
He must be a village outsider. No family in the Village of Quado has brown messy hair, or milky white skin, or a body that tall.
"Excuse me... sir." Baekhyun only mumbled an inaudiable reply, trying to keep his mind on the beautiful stranger. "Do you mind telling me why you're on my fathers property?" Baekhyun opened an eye to the stranger. Nobody own this property?! It's had no habitants for years! "Sir, i'd like an answer from you." Baekhyun stood to his feet, ready to address the stranger who's voice he didn't recognise, signalling to him that this person was not a local at Quado, therefore couldn't own a property that didn't even have any inhabitants.
"I'd like to tell you tha-" Baekhyun stopped, his lips parted ready to speak the words that weren't coming. His eyes were connect with a pair he didn't recognise, but they were sat in a face he hadn't got out his head all day - he was standing face to face with his beautiful stranger.
He cleared his throat, dropping eye contact and turning around, packing his bag in an awkward mess. The stranger, who was still stood there, watched Baekhyun fumbling around with his stuff. Baekhyun was sure his face was as red as it could get. "I'd like to to tell you, that um, i'll be on my way. I-I didn't know this field had any occupants." He bowed, before swiftly picking his bag up, slinging it on his shoulder, and hurrying down the hill he came from.
"WAIT!" his stranger called from behind him. He slowly turned around, not wanting to annoy the boy a second time. "Why did you come to this field?" He could feel his throat dry, the reason had always been unspeakable for him, only he knew, and he'd never have the courage to tell a soul. He looked at his stranger again.
The stranger cocked his head, his eyes slightly gazed with what Baekhyun could identify as concern. "Do you want to come tell me inside? Let's not stand out here in the cold for a little chit-chat, ey?" Baekhyun nodded, his feet moving faster then they ever had before towards the boy he'd been dreaming about all day.
Thank you corn fields! I knew my habit to come and visit you had some meaning with my future. My trust is in your hands.
