Its been three days since that incident but jieun is still preoccupied by it. even if she swat the thoughts away, the way

jungshin hug her that night still lingers on her body. She groan and lay her head on her table. “bad morning?” she was

surprised when junsu spoke. “I was knocking but you didn’t answer so I just entered, tired?” he asked. Jieun nod.

junsu smiled and walk behind her chair. “relax, is the wedding planner stressing you out?” he asked. She sighed. That’s

the other problem she’s been thinking at night. She is confuse, tired and overwhelmed. The wedding will be in 4

months. Mrs. Kim wanted it to be faster but she refused. Now she is wanting to prolong it some more months.

“junsu-ah, the wedding, can we..” he sighed. Jieun bit her lips, she felt guilty. “you want to cancel it?” “it’s not that, I

just need more time, I don’t think I’m ready for this, I still want to focus on my work, and..” “I get it, you still don’t

love me” he said coldly. I scratched the top of my left eyebrow thinking of a possible reason for me backing out again.

“it’s not that, you know I love you” she said, junsu walked to the chair infront of her desk. He slumped lazily. Rubbing

his temples. “junsu-ah” jieun said. “of course you love me, I am your bestfriend. It always been like that” he whine.

Jieun eyes widen, it is the first time junsu rubbed it in. “junsu ah” she whispered. “I can’t talk now” junsu stood up and

went to the door. “I’ll cancel the wedding for another 5 months, hope by that time, “I love you” will be easier for you

that “you are my bestfriend that’s why I love you”. He walk out, jieun covered her face with her hand.

“hey jungshin, can you stop working and do some leisure stuff” minhyuk uttered. For the past 3 days jungshin focused

on their upcoming projects. Mr. and Mrs. Lee noticed that jungshin always go to office early and went home late.

Though he had his own condo now, he stays at their house which makes them worry. Jungshin only stays there when

he feels lonely. Dahae returned to L.A so it’s only his parents noticed the changes in his acts. “hey, Mr. Lee Jungshin,

chill” minhyuk said. jungshin sighed and shot him a glare. Minhyuk tensed but he didn’t want jungshin to see it. “hey”

“will you please leave me alone?” jungshin finally said. “your parents wanted me to talk to you, they even ask me to

set you up to… “ “I just want to work okay?” jungshin cut him off. “your over stressing yourself, do you ever sleep?”

minhyuk asked. Jungshin sighed again. yes he do sleep but the longest he have was like 4 hours max. after he goes

home late, he still stays up, trying to tune out jieun out of his system, but he surely cant his heart wont let him. The

scene from 3 nights ago kept playing inside his head like a video. He can’t stop blaming himself for what had happen.

“I don’t want to do the same thing you did to me” “I can’t hurt him like how you hurt me” “please I don’t want to hurt

junsu so please, I odn’t want to see you anymore” those words kept ringing inside his head at night. “all right, call up

the guys, let’s drink till we die” jungshin said.

Jieun was on a 24 hours duty, well she insisted on having it. to divert her attention to work. junsu was nowhere to be

found and she understands that he needed time to cool off. She remembered the sad look on his face. She closed her

eyes tightly and shook her head. “jieun-ah, you need to focus on work right now,” she reminded herself. “Dr. Lee ER

now” a nurse came up to her in the lobby. She run with the nurse, she saw a man lying on the stretcher, lifeless, her

heart suddenly thud. She froze when she saw minhyuk rushing inside blood stains all over his shirt. Her heart rate

raced like crazy, “jieun-ah” she heard minhyuk called her, she stop infront of him. “please help jungshin, please help

him” minhyuk kneeled infront of her, she shot a look on the lifeless guy that’s been pushed in the ER. Her knees are

starting to wobble, her eyes blurry with the tears that’s attempting to escape and there she saw him, full of blood,

cuts and breathing weakly. She run towards him and took his hand. “jungshin-ah, wake up, jungshin –ah” she

uttered, “Dr. Lee, he needs to an operation. Blood clot on his right temporal lobe” the assistant doctor said. she

inhaled. “call Dr. Kim Junsu, tell him he is needed here ASAP, PALLI!” she yelled. She turn to the other nurses “Call Dr.

Park tell him, he is needed in the OR right away, ready the OR” jieun yelled. While doing that, jungshin gripped on her

hand tighter, she look at him, “I’ll do anything for you to be okay, please hold on” she uttered. Jungshin faintly smiled

at her. “sorry” he said, jieun’s eyes widen as his grip loosen up. “No, NO..NO!! jungshin-ah,jungshin!!! Please, oh please,

get him to the OR right now!!!!” jieun yelled. The nurses pushed him to the OR. “where’s my surgical gloves?” she

asked sobbing, she was about to enter the OR when a hand stopped her from the shoulder. “you can’t do it, I’ll save

him jieun-ah,  I promise” jieun turned and saw junsu all geared up for the operation. “take Dr. Lee out, Dr. Park and I

will deal with this” junsu said. “stay calm everything will be alright” junsu said and smiled at her, jieun cant hold on to

the tears as she brokedown infront of minhyuk. “please, please let him live” she covered her face with her hands. “I

love him” she whispered.
