“Dr. Lee an emergency” a nurse called ji eun as she was on the nurse station, she hurried on the ER. “a car accident,

lost a lot of blood” as the nurse go the rundown of the necessary details, “dad!” ji eun froze hearing a familiar voice

coming from the outside. “we are ready for the OR”, a co surgeon called jieun’s attention back, “Ok,” she is still

disoriented, her eyes reluctantly glance on the body lying on the stretcher. Her eyes widen for she recognize the

lifeless form infront of her. “Dr. Lee?” a nurse called. The other doctor came up to her “do you know him?” she nod.

“call Dr. Park, she can’t do this operation” the doctor said, then pats ji eun’s shoulder, “it’s okay, take some rest” she

nod unconsciously. She removed the hair net on her head, and the mask. She walk towards the exit of the ER. “Ji

eun?” there it is again, the voice that’s she haven’t heard for a long time yet it sounded so familiar like she was hearing

that all those years that have passed. She hesitantly look at the guy. “jungshin ssi” she tried to sound unaffected yet

professional. “we will do the best we can, your dad will be safe” just that she wore everything again and run towards

the operating room.

Jungshin sat on the waiting area near the OR, concern and worried about his dad but his feelings heighten when he

saw her again. it’s been years and he didn’t know that she continued medicine. Her long wavy black locks is now a

short brownish bob. The cuteness was gone, she became a lady now. She looks beautiful. “son” jungshin was cut from

his reverie when he heard his mom. “dad is still in the OR. Mom its okay dad will be fine” jungshin assured her, just

then the door opened. Jieun took her mask out and stiffed when she saw Mrs.Lee there. she immediately calmed her

senses. “Mr. Lee is now out of danger, we just have to give blood transfusion, check his head other than that we didn’t

saw any problem” “omo, ji eun-ah? You did became a doctor” mrs lee cant help but to hug her. jieun smiled, “oh dear,

thank you for taking care of my husband.” “it nothing ma’am  its my job” jieun saw how jungshin looked at her and

she cant keep the eye contact she pulled away to Mrs. Lee and clear , “uhm, the nurse will guide you to the

private room, and Dr. Park will be his attending doctor” ji eun bowed and turned to leave. “ji eun-ah” jieun paused,

and look back, jungshin gave her a faint smile, “thank you” she just nod.

“Dr. Lee” jungshin heard someone called jieun again, someone who he believes a doctor passed by him running

towards jieun, he cant help but to watch as that doctor reached jieun’s side, to his surprise the doctor hold jieun’s

hand as she looked him smiling, that smile he missed was now given to someone else, he studied the face of the guy

and he is not surprise to see that it is junsu, “of course, they are bestfriends” he said to himself, he didn’t know why he

wants to believe what he just said. to his dismay, junsu peck on jieun’s lips, “son, the nurse is here. Let’s go see your

dad” jungshin face his mom, and fake a smile, “arasso mom, let’s go” as jungshin and Mrs. Lee followed the nurse, jieun

take a glance on jungshin’s back walking away. “what are you looking at?” junsu asked. “ah, nothing, let’s go” jieun

walk ahead while holding junsu’s hand. “this is the present jieun, don’t you ever look back ever again” she said to

herself.
