Chapter 8; Sick Taemin

The Adolescent Adventures of Onew Appa and Baby Taemin

WARNING: UNEDITED. And by undeited I mean that I haven't read through it. AT ALL. ALSO please read the ending message if you would be so kind :).

"A-Appa..." Taemin cried as he tried to wake Jinki up. 

"Appa, wake u-up..." Soon enough, Jinki rubbed his eyes awake and looked over at Taemin.

"What's wrong, baby?" Jinki asked the 6 year old Taemin. He took Taemin and pulled him onto his lap. Taemin instinctively wrapped his arms around his neck and buried his face on Jinki's neck. Jinki checked the small alarm clock on the bedside table, reading "4:32".

"Taeminnie doesn't feel good." 

"You do feel a bit warm."

"Appa..."

"Yes?"

"Head...hurts"

"Aigoo~ My baby has a fever."

Taemin never liked being sick. Liked would be an understatement. He absolutely HATED it. He would cry for the whole day. He can't taste anything. He'd be forced to drink disgusting medicine. He would never want to be put down by Jinkie, he absolutely had to be with Jinki and if he didn't he would throw a tantrum.

"Let's not go to school today, okay?" Taemin slowly nodded and hugged Jinki tighter. Jinki carried Taemin downstairs and opened a cupboard filled with medicine. Jinki tried to take Taemin and make him sit on the counter but it was like Taemin was latched onto his neck.

"C'mon, Minnie. I just need you to drink medicine then we can go back upstairs, okay?" Taemin shook his head and whined.

"Taeminnie~" Taemin whined again and started crying.

"Taemin." 

"Appa, no! I don't want to!" Taemin cried. Jinki sighed and put the medicine back.

"Fine, but you HAVE to drink it later, okay?' Taemin nodded. "Promise?" Taemin hugged Jinki tighter and nodded. Jinki went back upstairs and grabbed a pillow and a blanket. He then set it up on the couch and set Taemin down. It took a while for Taemin to let go but he did as long as Jinki stayed with him. Jinki tucked Taemin in and the T.V.  He doubted he could find anything interesting on the T.V. at this hour. He looked over at Taemin and saw the boy hugging Jeremy tightly, staring intently at the T.V. Jinki leaned onver and brushed the bangs away from his forehead.

"I'm gonna go get you a towel for your head, okay?" Taemin shot up and clung onto Jinki.

"No, appa! No!"

"I'm going to be quick. Not even 5 minutes, I promise." Taemin buried his face on Jinki's arm, shook his head and started crying.

"Okay, okay. Stop crying. I won't go." Jinki wiped Taemin's tears. "Now lie back down." Taemin did as he was told and bought Jeremy closer to him. Once Taemin fell back asleep, he slowly made his way to the bathroom and took out a bucket and a small towel. He filled it up with warm water and took it back to the living room. He placed the towel in the water and soaked it in. Then he rung the water out and placed it on Taemin's forehead. After watching a movie, he got up and decided to cook soup for Taemin when he woke up. Just as he turned off the stove, he heard a loud cry from the living room.

"APPA!" Jinki made his way back and saw a puddle of vomit on the floor and Taemin hugging Jeremy, crying.

"Aigoo, my Taeminni"

"Appa, Taeminnie's sorry appa! Sorry, appa!" Jinki picked up Taemin and kissed him on the forehead.

"It's okay, baby. We'll clean this up, okay?" After Jinki finished cleaning the floor, Jinki took Taemin to the kitchen.

"Appa cooked soup for Taemin while he was sleeping. Does Taeminnie want some?" Taemin rested his head on Jinki's shoulder and nodded. Jinki poured some soup into a bowl and took out the orange juice from the fridge and poured some in a cup. Mind you, Jinki did all of this carrying Taemin with one arm. He put them on a tray and carried it back to the living room. Jinki wrapped a blanket around Taemin and placed him on his lap while he fed him. After Taemin was done, Jinki let him watch television while he was resting.

DING DONG

Jinki walked over to the door and once he opened it a small figure ran inside. 

"Hey! Wha--"

"I'm sorry about my master." The maid said.Jinki raised an eyebrow and saw Minho kneeling infront of Taemin.

"Taeminnie! Are you okay? I brought you food and a present to make you feel better!" Minho gave Taemin a giant frog plushie and kissed Taemin on the cheek. The maid walked over and set a whole bag down on the floor of the living room and took out boxes and boxes and BOXES of food. Jinki walked over and opened one of the boxes before getting it snatched away by a very angry Minho.

"Out of the way, old man! That's for Minnie, not you!" Minho said before running back to Taemin and feeding him.

'O-Old man?!' Jinki took out his phone from his pocket and used it as a mirror. 'I don't look THAT old...do I?'

Chapter 18: I know how you feel. I've undergo the same crisis too. I'm proud of you because you have the gut to do all of that. For me, I really really wanna pursue in engineering but then my dad said no to engineering idk why and now here in am in biotechnology. I wish i had some of your courage. I constantly regret for taking this course :/ at least you wont feel like this

Chapter 18: Do what you want to do! Thts the most important thing. Your parents love you and will most likely come to accept your choice. You cant go by your parents rules forever ( and i know that sounds like a bad thing but everyone has to do it at some point) dont be scared to tell them. Even if they get mad and yell at you. Just remember that they will ALWAYS love you. No matter if you dont become a nurse or teacher. Things will calm fown eventually. And just remember being depressed is not healthy at all so you need to fix that pretty fast. I hope this helped. Feel better!

Chapter 18: omg baby girl! i get depression every year at university -_-; i cant imagine how hard for it to be doing something you dont even like. i really wish you didnt need to but you need to tell your parents. its only gonna get harder as time passes. where are you staying right now? they're gonna be disappointed and probably mad, but you might need to live with them for a while or in the future and its always not a good idea to sour relationships with your parents when we're still young and we still sort of need them. anyway, you should just rest for a while, and just get yourself feeling better before deciding whether you want to go to college again next semester for computer science which would lead to software designing (im guessing). you dont have to plan now because you'd probably freak out but when you feel motivated to research some more, definitely do it!
but just rest! take some time off! everyone needs it and even if you just end up on tumblr or youtube watching shinee videos eating chips, if it makes you happy, just do it! :) and of course, i am happy to keep talking ;D

Chapter 18: oh my gosh, why would we ever think to kill you? what you're going through right now is something a lot of others do too. you are not alone. if you feel like game designing is what you truly want to do then by all means go for it.
I know you are going through a lot of pressure right now but I hope you can muster up the courage to talk to your parents. maybe try talking to other people first - to help you gain a little confidence before telling them.even if you aren't planning on telling them now, talk to somebody, don't keep your worries to yourself. you'll be surprised at how much it'll help.
your parents are likely to be unhappy with your job choice because they are worried for your future and whether this career will help you get through life, but if you show them that you are passionate and dedicated to the job and that you are truly happy while doing it, i'm sure they will soon change their minds.

Chapter 18: As much as i love this story, it's not important right now. You need to speak to your parents and tell them how you feel. I know it's going to be hard, but ask them why they think being a teacher and being a nurse is a good job. Is it because it is well-paid? Good hours? An industry where you'll never be unemployed? Because for most reasons, the source is because they want you to be happy. You need to make them realize that though you really appreciate it, them forcing you to fit into their definition of a perfect worker is making you extremely unhappy. They have to realize that their actions, in which they think will make you happy, are actually making you depressed. The fact that you are questioning your life is not what a parent is supposed to make you feel. You need to speak to them about this and I know it won't be easy, but it will be worth it.

Chapter 18: I think it's good that you did something for yourself instead of blindly following what your parents wanted you to do because what's most important is what YOU want since it is YOUR life after all and not theirs, you should be making such decisions... I know it's scary not knowing what you're going to do next after dropping out but I'm sure you'll find something that you love eventually :D Take it from someone in their third year of university... College is not for everyone and it's not all it's cracked up to be, you dodged a major bullet imo LOL xD So good luck in the future, author-ssi... But anyway, I'm looking forward to the corrections you're making to the fic and your next update ;D

Chapter 18: You should always know, you did the right thing dropping out; if you love your job you will never have to work a day in your life. I'm proud of you for doing what you think is right. (Pm me if you need someone to talk too- I will always help where I can)

Chapter 17: can i just hug you and love you for being such a precious writer and for making this precious story ! <3 Onew is just the sweets of all and Taemin is just a cutiepie. i LOVE all the mooments and interactions between all characters ! i give you my thumbs up !
