So Haewon's POV

"So you have to add...." My math teacher, Ms Jung, droned off about algebra. I sighed and continued doodling on my book when I felt something at my elbow. I lifted my arm up and found a note. Opening it, I realised that it was from Lay who was sitting beside me. I looked at him as he cheekily smiled back. Omg, I felt like fainting at that moment he smiled back. I quickly collect myself and smiled weakly back as my heart started pounding at this crazy speed that I wonder whether is this normal. I knew Lay since both of us enter high school together and since then I think I have been crushing on him. Considering that both of us are seniors of the school, it had been a long time. Both of us normally have classes together and of course we would talk to each other but every time he smiles at me, my heart would go crazy and I will feel like fainting. I sighed softly and opened the note. 

Bored?  It wrote.

I smiled and scribbled How do you know? before passing it back.

Seconds later, a reply came back. You are drawing hearts all around your textbook.

I blushed and wrote Bleh :P and passed it back. I saw Lay smiled before giving it back to me.

You going to Kris hyung party at beach today? Kris was our classmate, Lay's best friend.

I don't know. Lay frowned.

You should go. I will be there and I don't want to get lonely. 

You have your other friends. 

They are too noisy. I like you better. 'I like you better' ??!?? My heart skipped a beat as I tried to calm myself down. 

Fine. I will go. I passed the note back as the bell rang. Ms Jung took her things and left. 

"See you tonight!!" Lay said as he left. I sighed. 

"What's wrong, Haewon?" Kris said as he pulled a chair next to me. 

"Lay oppa is drawing me crazy!!" I said before sighing. 

"Lay?" I nodded.

"You haven't confess?" He asked. I nodded sadly. Suddenly, Kris smiled like he had an idea.

"You coming to my bonfire party, right?" 

"Apparently, yes."

"Why don't you confess to him then?" My face brighten up as I hugged Kris.

"Oppa, you're a genius!!"

I sighed as I sat down on a log that was far away the noisy party people. It was 12 midnight. Tears started streaming down my cheeks as I recalled what happened just now. 

~FLASHBACK~

I fold my confession note carefully into a paper plane. Kris had suggested to me that I should confess to Lay by writing. Swing back and forward, I released the plane. It flew in straight line, heading towards Lay. Suddenly, there was a gust of wind and the paper plane flew into the bonfire. I faceplam myself and sighed.

I took the plate of food and walked towards Lay. Sitting down beside him, I gave him the plate of food.

"Gomawo." He said before smiling brightly at me. 

"Oppa, I need to tell you something." 

"What?" He said cutely with his mouth stuffed with food. 

"Oppa, I-" 

"LAY!!" Suddenly, Lay's friends came, carried him away and threw him into the shallow part of the sea. I sighed and walked away.

~END OF FLASHBACK~

I tried so hard to confess and each confessions just get disturbed or destroyed.

"Why can I even confess to Lay?" I said to myself. "I just want him to know that I like him, is that wrong?" I bowed my head and pulled my knees closer. Seconds passed as I felt somebody's arms around me. I slowly looked up and saw Lay.

"O-oppa." I said. 

"Was that true? Everything you said just now?" He asked with puppy eyes. I nodded as he hugged me tighter. 

"Oppa."

"Haewon, I like you too." My eyes widen as I gently pushed him away.

"Bwoh?" I asked, shocked. 

"I like you too since I saw you in class when we just started high school." I was speechless. L-lay likes me too. 

"Are you serious? This isn't a joke, right?" I said, trying to confirm whether this was a prank. Lay smiled and pulled me in for a kiss. 

"Do you still think this is a joke?" He asked when we parted lips. I shook my head and hugged him under the moonlight and the glowing flames of the bonfire.
