Chapter 1

“Cool! I am going to fly with this new invention of my. It’s a flying kite” shouted Yuri.

“3...2...1...jumped! I did it! I did it”

“Hey Taeyeon did you see I am flying? You got to take those pictures and show it to my father” said Yuri

“Look where you flying you stupid fool. You’re going to hit the tree” Taeyeon shouted loudly.

“YAH why didn’t you say so earlier…noooo” Yuri released her kite and dropped into the water.

“Serve you right and a drenched Yuri again...” Taeyeon chuckled while trying to hold her laughter.

“No! There goes mine flying kite...” Yuri sobbed

Ever since Yuri father and her sister travels a lot, she was now staying alone and not only becoming stronger but also an

independent person. Yuri then walked back to her house in wet condition and something caught her attention. She saw a

letter sent by her father from China.

“Well I think I better go take a shower first” exclaimed Yuri

After ten minutes, Yuri finally done with her shower and she sat on the couch. Before she tries to open the letter that her dad

sent, she thought… “Hope my dad sends something useful this time.”

PLONG!

“Hmm what’s this sound” Yuri looked around her surrounding to check if something has dropped but nothing happens. Not

long after she realized that there’s something landed near her feet. She picked up the shiny circular metal ring with ancient

words written all over it. Yuri put the metal ring on the table and read the letter that her dad wrote for her.

Dear Yuri,

How are you these days! Hahahas…still a coward girl crying for daddy?  Well, I had found something unusual when I was

treasure hunting. I hope it’s something useful for u kid. Please look after yourself. You’re a grown up already.

Muhahahahas!

From Dad

“Stupid dad with his new discovery again and am not a cry baby anymore! Maybe I am when I was young but not anymore”

“Guess I will go cook for my dinner. What should I eat? Curry” smirked Yuri

While waiting for the curry to cook finish, Yuri went back to the table and look carefully at the metal ring.

“EEK Something is shining inside” Yuri eyes widen when she saw a figure coming upwards. A beam of light shone right

through which led Yuri to pin on the floor and moved backwards and she saw a girl wearing Chinese traditional costume

with a ribbon pinned on her head.

Gosh! She looked freaking beautiful! I never see such an angelic face before. Such a pure skin she has…but she was

kind of short and icy. Wait...why is she walking towards me all of the sudden? Yuri was nervous and she tries to push

herself backwards using her hands till her back touches on the hot curry pot.

What the…my back…HOT!!! Yuri tried to hold her breath trying not to shout.

The girl continues to approach Yuri till she sensed something strange when she saw Yuri expression.

Are you okay master? The girl thought that Yuri was in danger and she pushed the curry pot away from Yuri.

“My dinner curry ah...” Yuri sighed

“Get away from me. Who are you? Why are you here?”

“I am here to protect you master” the girl smiled

Yuri POV

“I am Jessica Jung.” Jessica said softly

“By the way, where is this place?” Jessica said looking suspicious at the surrounding. She never sees such modern things

before and well the fact that she live in the ancient world.

“You are in my house right now. I don’t know why you keep calling me master and I am not your master. Please don’t call me

that. I am Kwon Yuri but u can just call me Yuri.” Yuri smiled

“Since you awaken me from the ring, you are going to be my next master and I still have to call you that. And this ring is

called ‘Lunar’ like the moon in the sky. I will never leave your side. I am here to protect you.” Jessica explained

“Protect me?”

“You can call me Jessica, and oh…master. What’s your name again” Jessica looking at Yuri

“I am Kwwoonn Yuri” Yuri replied nervously

Jessica walked towards Yuri and grabs her hand “Hmm…Kwon Yuri…such a wonderful name.”

“This is feeling weird…”

“Master if any other country come and invades you or what, I shall protect you from them. However, this fortress appears not

to be fortified.” Jessica said in a serious tone and walked away.

Wait a minute, enemy country? I don’t understand and this girl who just came out from the weird ring. That means dad wrote

in the letter was actually true? That’s rare

Suddenly, I saw Jessica summoned something in the kitchen which scares the hell out of me. I was terrified till I sat on the

sofa and accidentally press the TV controller.

“Hold it! You Scum!” from the TV

“Don’t worry master about your house securities. I had summoned small soldiers to handle it.” Jessica shouted happily

“Small soldiers?” Yuri puzzled

“Now…Prepare to die!” from the TV

“Master Yuri, you’re in danger! Get down” Jessica heard from the TV and pushed Yuri away from the sofa and she quickly

summoned a tanker.

“I will forgive you! Please don’t kill me” from the TV

“I will not forgive you” said Jessica and the tanker bomb the whole TV down.

Jessica quickly hugged Yuri “it’s over...the danger has gone now and I will not let them hurt you again”
