SHINee - Dream Girl

Wow! It has been SO long since I've heard a SHINee song! Let me just start off, this was a catchy song, but I wasn't pleased. I had expected so much from this group as we've watched them grow and blossom into bigger things, but this was not part of my expectation! The SHINee guys, for me personally, only seem to fit manly songs and ballads. Only a little bit, does it fit with th kind of song. As I watched the music video, I wanted to take the pants of those guys and burn it. I mean, Key looked outstanding, because well.. he's Key! and he can make anything work, Onew was plain and simple, but going as far as floral pants for Jonghyun? Uhm, have you guys gone insane ? It may have been the important piece in their costume, but it felt so out of place!

Choreography: 5/10

I don't hate SHINee, I really don't. But in my opinion this was the worst they've ever done. The choreography becomes less.. exciting as they progress. I was waiting for something as exciting like Lucifer, or Hello! Something fresh and new. It wasn't over the top and I connected this to SHINee's Sherlock. How one moves while the others are frozen. These elements of dance are overused by these guys, we need to see something fresh!

Music Video:  7/10

First thing that came to mind, copy catters! It felt like it was a mix of Super Junior and Girls Generation all at once, and it was overwhelming. It was hard to follow, and the scenes never made much sense to me! Ohmygoodness, the screen glitches in this video! I know it was on purpose but it killed me! I wanted to enjoy looking at the boys without those things. But I do give props to SM, like thank you for answering all of our prayers! There was less screentime for the 'everysing' ad!

Song: 10/10

Mad catchy! Seriously, ever since I woke up this morning, I've been annoying everyone with my singing. Haha, this was a great song! And because Taemin has been recieving more attention, he was able to obtain more parts. As for Key, it seemed like he's the one getting pushed back. In some ways I think his fashion makes up for him. But I do love the song and the up-beat tune, just makes me feel like a happy person! Don't you wish, you were SHINee's dream girl?

Overall: 8/10

Overall, everything was connected, just not enough for me to feel that it was super exciting. Expectation bars are raised higher each time, and I feel they didn't reach it. Just not this time~
