M.I.B. - Nod Along

Woohoo! Finally a group that has caught my attention! It has been quite a while since a group as done that. This song has met my expectations. The lyrics were the bonus for me. As I was watching the music video and reading the english translations, I really thought that they had it all together. The messege was clear through the lyrics AND the video which is a very unique way of presenting a song. Unlike those with lovey-dovey theme, this was more like 'Let's go back to how things used to be'. That's the kind that I love, and this was by far the best of that kind! My only flaw about this song is the overuse of autotune when he sings. I mean, it still does go all together, but they could've lessened it so that the natural voice would come out too. I was really surprised and shocked but also pleased with this song as well!

Choreography: -/10

Because this group is more of a r&b/ hip-hop based kind of group, their main focus is of the rap so I didn't want to rate them. The dance was very settled obviously because it was mostly nodding but a thing that my dance teacher always recongizes my troupe for is our facial expressions, and I totally remembered that asI was watching M.I.B. perform. Their facial expressions tell part of the story too and it pulled everything together.

Music Video:  10/10

As I said, the lyrics and the video all actually had a huge connection.  The video did connect in a somewhat 'odd' way but I still think that the director did very well in portraying the messege of the lyrics.

Song: 10/10

REAL GOOD! I don't think I have any better comment but to say, the rapping was totally hot and made it all the better. As I said, my only flaw was the autotune because there would've been no natural-ness in the voice, but none the less, they pulled off this sad theme with a heavy and awesome beat!

Overall: 9/10

Overall, everything was connected; from the lyrics, to the video, and to the choreography. I wouldn't have imagined I would find a group that had managed to pull it off.
