J.Fla. - A Stupid Story

I've been following J.Fla on youtube ever since she made her account, and I'm really glad her career is starting to blast off! And here begins her journey, her music video. Set with a story between North and South Korean leaders, you can tell the director was trying to get to the point of this song. J.Fla's soulful tone definitely brought this song up a notch. If you've never heard of her, I request that you go and check her youtube account! Her covers are beyond amazing~

 

 

R A T I N G S :

Choreography: 6/10

The choreography for this video has at least met my expectations. For an easy flow song, it had a lot of cute, small movements that made it look complete and it matched her small petite figure as well! I don't want to focus on her dance moves so much, because for those of you who think that she's a terrible dancer, her voice makes up for it completely!

 

Music Video:  10/10

This video and the lyrics itself has a meaning, like I previously stated, it's a story between North Korean leader and South Korean leader. Because there was somewhat of a real life situation put into this story, it really makes you want to think . The music video portrayed the lyrics well, and definitely showed in the best way they could, what's going on. 

Song: 11/10

J.Fla's voice is so soulful, and it really pulled the song together. The beat wasn't overwhelming, and nor was the vocal techniques she used. In fact, her voice was really simple throughout the song. I'm totally in love with her soft tone. It really added an affect to the music. Ugh, I'm just so speechless! 

Overall: 10/10

Overall, everything was really well. It wasn't an overwhelming debut. I just hope she recieves more attention in the future, because I personally think, she deserves this attention. There's not a lot of singers who have this raspiness in their voice with the notes just softly coming out of their mouth unlike J.Fla. So please, listen to her covers! I'll post my favorites below!

Chapter 13: This song is the one that made M.I.B. one of my favorite bands. It fits perfectly in my opinion, except for the autotune, though that's simply because I can't stand autotune at all. The rapping was freaking hot and awesome as well *_* And I'm just gonna go ahead and request again XD Could you review Henry's new song Trap? Thanks in advance~

Chapter 12: Personally, I didn't really like the song that much. It didn't really catch my attention, and to be honest, I was a bit bored at some points in time. I didn't really like the music video because, like you said, it's really normal and my mind got confused sometimes with the color changes XD And to be totally honest, I thought that the set with the arch was a scene from MYNAME's message at first, but then I pointed out a few differences. Overall, it's not really one of my favorites, but I still like it~ And can I send in a request for you to review M.I.B's Nod Along? Thanks in advance if you review it~ (That took a long time to type out on an iPod XD)

Chapter 9: I have to agree with you about the pants, I wanted to just throw them into a fire. I also didn't like the music video much, the colors didn't flow with me at all except for the beginning set.

Chapter 9: Dream Girl seem nice to me :D well maybe because I saw Minho a bit longer. His rap part is longer than b4. But yea, like u said, the clothing...ehemmm~ hahaha owell, it's a great song :3 Oh yea! Taemin, he look matured!^^

Chapter 7: OMG! I just watch this movie when I saw your review. I cried so much T_T My mom keeps making fun of me because I hardly cry so, I was kind of embarrassed. It was so good, and motivational. A very touching movie. Thanks for the review.
